story:
It was a boring day, a boring hour, a boring time. Alaque looked around as fish abcently swam around in a cirle at the bottom of the ocean. All of her friends were at training, and her lesson had been cancled today because master Shijirah was sick. but she was actually pretty happy for a day of rest, but now, there was nothing to do. Alaque's deep green eyes flashed as she saw something to do. Jolon! YESS, now she could tease him. She quickly gluided over to him as he swam along, He didn't seem to be happy. She didn't care, she was still gonna talk with him.
"Heyy buddy" She said swimming along side him, He looked over to her with bored eyes. "Hello Ali, how are you?" he said tiredly, he seemed sick or tired. " Whats wrong with you, Grump face?" Ali said, Swimming on her back now. " Oh nothing, Im just tired, The meeting was soooo tedious today." Alaque nodded. "Ah, i see." i know how you feel, Navigation lectures are beyond boring. Jolon chuckled with a bit of a snort. "You think thats boring? i had to take classes for all the jobs! haha, Navigating, Hunting, Healing, Battle, All that studying! it will haunt me forever hehee."Alaque giggled "Yeah i guess so, compared to that, i only have to do 2 hours a day for now, how long were your classes?" Jolon smiled. "Three hours each." Alaque stopped in her tracks "Dear God!! Three hours?? Each?? How did you stay sane???" Jolon burst out laughing "I don't know, Me and Des had alot of studying." Alaque was still pretty shocked, "Dang!!" Jolon smiled. "Oh well, you wanna go on an exploration mission?" This was Jolon's favorite thing to do with the young girl, and she absolutely loved it. "Really? Can we go?? I wanna go somewhere new!" Jolon chuckled "Yes, Yes, we can. I know a good place. Come on."
As Jolon and his companion swam out to thier new excavation area, Jolon listened as Alaque described a bunch of stories of random experiences she had with the pod. " And then, like, Jingasha, She leaped, and the rock was in the air too, and SHE CAUGHT IT. ISN'T THAT AMAZING?!" Jolon smiled. "Oh yes! very, Very amazing." Ali Looked at him again. "I know right?!" and the rock was in perfect condition, not cracked not broken. Nothing! and-" Jolon interupted her. "Sorry to interupt your oh so ineresting story, but we're here." Ali's Jaw droppped. It was beautiful! What lay in front of her was a reef, The most beautiful one she had ever seen. Bright colored Coral of all sorts of shades and hues. Jolon, This is amazing! when did you find this??" Jolon grinned. "Oh, I dunno, around when i was your age, i liked to hang out here, it was my little secret spot." Alaque smiled " And it shall remain a secret, I won't tell anyone." Jolon smiled at the girl, He really loved her, She was like the little sister he never had. "Good, now get to that exploring, its a whole new spot to scope out!" Alaque smiled braodly and went to work, he noticed that she had brought her Belt knife that Jolon had Gotten her for her 3rd birthday. She used it to pry rocks apart and look on the inside of things. Alaque was in pure bliss. Her favorite thing was to go and explore, and that was why she oh so desperately wanted to become a navigator, The job was to explore and mark areas.
"Ali! come on over here!" her friend yelled, she swam over happily to see what he had found."Watcha find?" she asked, looking at him curiously. "look at this," He said, in the sand in front of his nose was a small shell. It was the prettiest shell she had ever seen, it had all the colors on the ocean and was as shiny as a fish's scale. "What is it? its so pretty," Jolon nodded. "Abaloni, you never find these things around here, very rare." Alaque smiled brightly. "Oh may i keep it? Pretty please? i can ask Kutoa to make it a pendant! unless you would want to give it to Minerva." Jolon looked at her and shook his head "Of course you can have it silly face! its our excavation, our loot!" Alaque smiled as Jolon put the small shell into the pouch on the belt that was strapped around her dorsal fin. They stayed around in the area for a few hours and found a few aqua marine stones, Sea glass, and a peice of shiny black stone, witch was Alaque's favorite find. She had gotten a bunch of new finds and was overly happy with her progress, she could use the aqua marine to buy some sweets or a new knife, and she had a bunch of pretty items to decorate her living space, and on the way home, they chatted and laughed about what they had found and Jolon told her funny stories of when he was young.
and when they got home, they went to the blacksmith and made themselves special new pendants.
