Dappa has wanted to be a Defender ever since she was a small foal, she would often get into trouble by following the other defenders when they went to train, she has leaned to get more stealthy because of it...
Personality:
Dappa is very playful, she can often be seen racing the foals and young colts or fillies, many say for this reason she is in-mature but in actual fact she is very mature, she just finds the adults too serious and will race for a while just to rid herself of all the thoughts that happen to be swirling around her at the time.
She will often want to run and run all day unlike most of the herd, this others find annoying, most don't like her because no one can keep up with her constant stream of energy. She has several bite marks from annoying the others a little too far. Still she hates for others to be mad at her and will often ignore them until they give in, she has been known to hold her silence for weeks.
Dappa is both fast of mind and of body, there aren't many that outrace her, because of her growing up half in the outside world and half underground she knows how to have agility and stamina underground and speed above. She is fast of mind as she will usually get things long before her companions, it does mean they think she is random though...
Dapper is stealthy due to her trying to follow the Defenders when they train, her constant being found means she had to become more and more stealthy as time went on. She is also stealthy when she says things, when she wants someone she will indicate it to subtly that most don't know what their agreeing to until too late!
Despite her friendly demeanor Dappa can be quite ferocious when she or her friends are threatened, her attacks are quick and precise leaving her opponents in the dust when coupled with her fast mind. She loves to bring down her opponents with this combination however she would much rather race.
Basic History
Dapper was born in the caves and her first steppe were a few hours later, it only took her a short time to gain her hooves, as she did she was quite clumsy, lacking the agility and grace she would grow to have, she would leap around and trip over rocks and slam into walls but her mother would always nudge her up and tell her never to give in, as the days progressed she became better at navigating the rocks and tunnels, she loved the exhilaration she found with racing through the tunnels with the still air being cut by her mane. She dreamed of the defenders her mother told her of and immitated them, sometimes she heard strange hoofbeats in the tunnel and tried to follow but they would always elude her.
Dapper was about two when her mother gently nudged her toward the cave enterance, Dappa felt the weird air swirling around her, it made her shiver, it was constantly moving unlike the still tunnel air, she soon started to explore the things she had never seen before, that weird green stuff called grass tickled her nose and the trees were tall and as solid as the rocks underground. She tried to navigate this new world, she hated how it made her feel clumsy again but soon after she had retrained herself in her grace.
It was when Dappa was 2 and half she was grazing with her mother, she heard something rustle in the bushes, her mothers head flew up and she let out a ringing whinnying of fear, telling her daughter to run and run far. In fear Dappa did as she was told, shooting off into the forest, she heard snarls behind her which spurred her on. She used all the skills she had leaned in both places to get her far away from where they had been.
When she stopped Dappa turned around expecting her mother but saw no one, she started to head back, it took her a day to walk the distance she ran but all she found was the remains of her mother...
When Dappa was 3 she had been on her own for very long and seeing no one of her own kind, she returned to the mouth of the tunnel, hoping to find comfort when she heard the strange hoof-beats, she reeled back as her own kind raced out of the cave, she followed the mighty herd to ask if she could join....
