Your first impression of her may be chill, reserved, intimidating, and hard to talk with. Though as you crack her shell you’ll find that she’s quite loyal and funny, even if her negativity is a little difficult to deal with at times.
Kat has been homeschooled ever since grade 2, when school ended up causing her a lot of stress and she wanted to stay home. She’s always had very few friends, at times none, due to her being extremely antisocial and staying at home. Around 6th grade, she began discovering astronomy, in which an interest sparked and it became a big part of her life.
Kat’s family isn’t at all poor, for example their house is a rather large place high on the hill where the view of town is best, but also meaning her parents were always out and busy with work. Leaving her to kick around the home alone for much of the day.
Her favourite person is her teacher, who works for her parents to give Kat an education, he has been teaching her ever since she began homeschooling, meaning Kat had time to get to know him and form a trusting bond. He is the one Kat went to when she had discovered her interest in space, he had then reported her interest to her parents. Who intsalled a telescope in the house for her birthday. Since then she had been studying to her hearts extent, observing the stars, reading books, and taking so many notes.
Besides astronomy, Kat is very fond of reading, writing, and painting. Her few friends she has, she met either at the library or while purchasing paints.
Gaining her trust can prove to be difficult, because bad experiences with toxic people taking advantage of her fortune and her trust in the past had made it hard for her to fully open herself up, that and she was never quite the happiest girl out there.
She wishes for her parents to be there more, the lack of attention was never too beneficial for her socially. If you can gain her loyalty, you are sure to have a good friend, plus she has a really good music taste.
