What is the significance behind their crown? Their scarf accessory?

Lorelei was a lot of things when she was younger, but speedy was not one of them. She took her time with things to make sure they were absolutely perfect. She wanted her scarf to be absolutely perfect, and didn't want anyone to disturb her while she worked on it. She believed that it would only take so long, but oh how wrong she was. Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months. Her body started to grow up and her hair started to grow longer, and she feared the scarf would be too small so she'd take even more time to make the scarf large enough to go around her neck.

To make her scarf, she knitted the entire thing by hand, adding swirls and hearts to make it just that much more perfect. She grew, and the patterns needed to expand, and so did the timespan needed for the scarf to be made. She was so focused on it, that she hadn't even realized that she was an adult by the time she finished it. When she realized, it was already too late for her not to be embarrassed by everyone she came across.

They called her a freak of nature, they said she was a grown baby, they said she didn't deserve to live. Lorelei was fearful, but she knew that when she returned with her scarf, and with her charm attached securely to the scarf, that all would be well, and that she'd be accepted by her peers. The only one who had not insulted her was the one in her colony who claimed that she was simply a late bloomer- the one who had the role of helping young starshines attach their accessories to their charm. But when Lorelei's charm was brought out to the scarf she had made as her accessory, something went horribly wrong. It didn't stay.

Everytime the charm was put onto the scarf, no matter how they tried to secure it, the charm would always fall off from the scarf, and it clattered on the floor like a rhythm, almost the same rhythm that Lorelei's tears fell from her face, and from the rite of passage helper's face. Eventually, they gave up. Lorelei was unable to become an adult in everyone's eyes, and she ran away- crying, wanting to disappear into nothingness, wanting to be restarted in the body of a starshine that could actually be an adult.

Later, it was found out by Lorelei that she was destined to not have her accessory connected to her scarf, and that she wouldn't be able to connect the two because of her genetics. She wasn't a Starshine, not fully, at least. She was enough of a starshine to have grown up in a starshine community with her former mother, but she was too much of a cherub cat to wear her scarf and accessory like normal starshines. Lorelei wanted to blame her father for this so badly, but she never could. She loved her family too much to blame them.

They have magical powers; what are they?
Her power is controlling the emotional state of individuals through taking their emotions that are in excess for herself. A power that she had gained from unknown entities, and was meant as a power to be used for the betterment of others. However, even the most kind-hearted of gifts can be used in ways that can be dangerous.
Lorelei doesn't mean to use these powers for anything dangerous, but she also doesn't know how to control these powers quite as well as she'll want to believe. Sometimes, when she attempts to help others, especially cherub cats and starshines, things can go wrong, and she'll have no idea how to fix them. She can take away any fear or sadness that one may have, taking it for herself and sometimes causing herself to have awful nightmares, other times, she can sap someone completely dry of happiness. Not only is it dangerous for her to have that much joy, but one could also die from having their happiness completely taken from them.

Where do they come from?
Originally, Lorelei was born on the shore of a small beach on earth to a Starshine mother and an Aquatic Built Cherub Cat father. Though now she is considered a fusion of the two, she remembers her parents very well. Unfortunately, somewhat too well with how their lives ended. Her family lived on that same shore until the death of her father, which lead for her mother to bring her to a place where she believed she could take care of her better- her old home in a starshine society in the stars.

Lorelei stayed up in the society for most of her life, and unfortunately, due to her work on her scarf, wishing to be seen as an adult in Starshine society, she missed the passing of her mother. She was devastated, and promised to finish her scarf and become a real adult Starshine in the society for her mother. Unfortunately, after the incident where her charm and her scarf didn't connect, she instinctively ran away, unable to return out of fear, and leaving all traces of her mother behind.

Before being brought to the world on the ground once more by a rift in space-time, she was floating in space, regretting a large majority of life and trying to forget parts of her life that made her the sensitive, scared individual that she never wanted to be. Her mother would've been ashamed, but space was silent, space was calm, the perfect place to live until she was torn from that calm haven she called home.

Sewing - while not a hobby due to

The Ocean - No duh, she got this from her father,
who always had his way of acting like he was

orchestralmusic, and lived with it most of her life, making it
something that reminds her of her first home.

Space: Another given, considering that her mother was a starshine, but
she still adores space in a separate way than just because her mother
raised her there after her father's disappearance. The lack of sound
in deep space comforts her greatly.

DISLIKES:
Motivational Speakers: She doesn't hate people that do motivational
speaking, it's just that she doesn't believe that they
do a good job at what they claim to do with most of their lives.
She feels as if that crying is important, and she's seen many
motivational speakers that shun the idea of being weak,
even though being weak is part of the process to becoming
stronger than you were before.

Pranksters: Primarily the modern version of a prankster,seeing as
they do not show much compassion to others
when they really should, and cause pain to
others from the humor of themselves and others
in their friend groups.

Royalty: She doesn't like being considered royalty, she doesn't
like anyone being considered to be royal, because
she sees it as someone attempting to put themselves
above others when everyone should be equal to the
point where they can all respect one-another.

Forests: She considers this one of her most ridiculous dislikes,
She understands that the forests are dangerous,
but if she knows what to do they aren't that

HOBBIES:
Character Design - she doesn't draw, but she likes to assist people in character design by giving very detailed descriptions of patterns and traits that sound like they're coming to life straight from the words from her mouth.

Laurine is a dreamer, an explorer, seeking out just about anything that sparks her interests. She has no true goal in life and she's happy with that. Or she'll revert to her native language from her old home on Neptune in moments of intense emotion. She likes to be heard but sometimes she can go silent- often unable to find proper words to speak. But that never lasts long. Despite her extroverted nature, she more often alone than with others. It's true, finding other Cherubs or Shines who live in the water is rare but one would think the ex-princess would remain surrounded by the friends she has made within the water. She prefers that, in truth, but it's doesn't ease the lonely feeling within her. That's when the young Cherubshine finds herself finding a place alone to sing her blues away. Not just in times of distress does she do this though. She does it at anytime she feels the need to simply place her feelings out loud. She's quite strange that way. She's quite a forgetful girl as well, getting lost in thought so often, thinking of any and everything that comes to mind, she tends to push some things out to make room for more. But she's highly observant and can typically pick up on the smallest of things. She good at keeping moods high and boosting moral. Her current quest, finding romance- Ah no- friends first? Honestly she doesn't even know.

Where do they come from?

Laurine is the first born child of King Florence and Queen Amelia of the Feli Kingdom on the planet of Neptune.The kingdom that worships the stars and the sea, Feli is quite advanced compared to the other kingdoms that share the planet, so much so that their kingdom has been dubbed Neptune's core city, a must see for tourists all about the planet. The castle and all the structures within it all float atop the planet's natural water, with the help of the Helium Crystals that are only found within Feli Kingdom Territory. These rare crystals are what gave Feli the boost to place it ahead of the others. Despite this, they are not a cocky bunch. The Feli Queen, Amelia make the upmost effort to help any and all who need to the best of their ability. It is thanks to the King, Florence, that the kingdom is no pushover though, for the king is also head of the kingdom's army, making sure the kingdom and all of it's inhabitants are safe. A strong yet loving Kingdom. What wasn't to love?

Laurine, sadly found many things to dislike about her loving Kingdom. Truth be told, it had nothing to do with the kingdom but instead, her parents. Being born the first child of the royal family of Neptune, Laurine had many duties and expectations to fulfill. But like any child bound to the sheltered life, she wanted nothing more than to see the beautiful world outside her castle window. A stereotype sure, but she didn't care- despite her younger brother's teasing. She wanted to explore and see the place she so fondly called home. But she couldn't. She could only gaze at it from above, wishing to be a part of it all. Though, she'd admit, her life wasn't bad in the slightest. She'd admit to being selfish and wanting more than what she needed. She had loving, supportive parents, she had two younger brothers, one of which she could call her closest friend, and she was blessed with a talent and a gift. And yet she still wanted more.

Her wish came true one day though in the form of a parade. Her parents knew how much she desired the outside and they figured, what better way than to for the annual Feli Festival? They also found that this would be perfect to announce Luis, her oldest younger brother, coming of age of finally finding the charm he wished to place upon his cape accessory. It wasn't a normal thing that they did in Feli but Prince Luis was a social Shine and had many fans so why not? The plan for Laurine to join the Crystal Orchestra on their float and sing for the public, on of the many dreams she's had for some time. But when the day arrived, Laurine took some time to herself to explore just hours before. She planned to come back before her time came but things never go as planned. She explored to her hearts content, swimming in the cyan waters that held the kingdom, spoke to all she crossed paths with, truly finding even more to love about her winderful city. But her curiosity caused her downfall as she ventured farther than she should have.

The Crystal mines she's heard so much about was to be her last trip. The beautiful blue and purple hues of the crystals inside the mines had her mesmerized, lost in their charm. Ah- but she couldn't stay long, for the parade would be starting at any moment. But she desired a souvenir- some form of memory of her day out and thus, she took one of the crystals for herself before dashing out of the mines. But within a second of leaving the parameter of the mines, the crystal activated, glowing in a galaxy of colors within it's blue spectrum. She watched in amazement as she held in her paws to watch the light show, oblivious to the power it was creating. A pure untamed Helium Crystal could carry 20 times their weight, and without anyone there to tie her her down, Laurine soon found herself floating away. None was the wiser as the princess began to float away out of the atmosphere. Even she didn't notice until she was finally grew tired of watching the light show. When she finally looked up from her paws, she saw her planet in full. It was cool at first until she realized that home was getting farther and farther away. Panic filled her being as she continued to float far from home, and she ha no clue how to make her way back. She never learned how to move about space like her brother's had. Thus all she could do was watch as Neptune left her view.

She wasn't sure how long she drifted through space, but it was forever since she last saw Neptune and forever since saw the family that she loved so. She had plenty of time to reminisce on just how much she had an just how much she had lost simply because she wanted more. But she had more than enough. It was only a matter of time before the young Cherubshine landed on Earth, crashing into the deep waters that covered the planet. The crystal had exhausted its power, no longer to keep her floating aimlessly. Though she knew not where she was, she found comfort in the cool, gentle waters. But when she looked out into the deep blue sky, she knew there'd be no way for her to return home. But over time- she accepted that this could be for the best. She wouldn't have made a good queen and she knew it. Her desires to leave were too great... that didn't make her miss home any less. But still, she found what she desired all her life in this waters of Earth: Freedom to explore, a place to adventure without much care. So much to learn on her own. She found happiness here and thus, here she would stay. Though- every year, when the moon was blue, marking the time of the Feli Festival, Laurine would sit upon the shore and look out into the starry night sky, and sing a song in the language of her people. A song that she will's all of Neptune to hear for it was the song she wished to sing on that life changing day.

Laurine was blessed with powers from birth, a common thing amongst those of the Feli bloodline. The gift of the voice was the one bestowed upon her. Singing had allows been something she adored since birth, alongside those romantic fairy tales that her mother would read to her at night. So it came to the surprise of no one that her powers had to do with her voice. It was too developed for a child of her age at the time. Speech was one thing, the random ramblings of a toddler who only knew the words she heard from others. But when she sung, it was pure, precise, and- though still filled with random words -it was still sung in a harmonious way that could rival any choir.

But her power wasn't just her pleasant to the ear voice- she likes to consider that as a blessing nothing more. Her power instead was the ability to manipulate sound itself. More like manipulating the sound waves that create sound. She could sing a note at any range or frequency she desired for a multitude of effects, many of which she had yet to explore. Higher frequencies could be used offensively while lower frequencies could use in both offense and defense which greatly helped her in the new environment of Earth. Echolocation is another thing she made high use of. In addition her senses have been finely tuned to sounds, allowing her hearing to be on an almost supernatural level. She could hear someone's heartbeat with ease if she desired. Though seeing as she sings so often, she sometimes forgets that her songs can affect others who hear it. She's working on controlling that

What is the significance behind their crown? Their scarf accessory?

Being the first born of the kingdom, Laurine's path was set out before her already. To become the Queen of Feli and rule over the kingdom, while taking care of those upon Neptune. Truly she had no true desire to fulfill such demands, but at the same time, she was happy to have such the honor. She loved her planet, her home deeply. To be able to help would make her happy. But she did not wish to have all eyes looking to her to do so. But regardless, she accepted the task- not like she had a choice. Ah- but every ruler needs a crown. As custom in the Feli- the sacred crown of Aldine- named after the first ancestor and the Cherub that began the royal dynasty of Feli- is passed down to the first born of current King and Queen, marking the one who is to rule the kingdom next. The charms on crown hold a power that shapes itself to match the wearer, should the crown believe the next in line is ready or worthy. Fortunately, Laurine happened to be just that. Laurine's love for love and romance was recognized by the crown and thus the charms shaped into hearts. And, as custom, the people of Feli was made aware of the crown's acceptance of Laurine and a ball was held in her honor. The kingdom began to call her the Princess of Hearts, a name she actually adored, and she's worn it with pride since. Though she never found the drive to truly lead the kingdom. Despite this she wanted to try. She enjoyed the name a bit too much not to.

With a charm already bestowed upon her, Laurine was told that an accessory was unnecessary. She didn't need one for she'd find it a hindrance an a waste of precious learning time to work on- so her Father told her. And she agreed with him. She didn't need an accessory if it's main purpose was to hold the charm securely and safely. But when her brother Luis began to work on his, Laurine couldn't help but grow curious and watch him work occasionally. Day by day on an acute schedule, Luis worked on his accessory and Laurine grew more interested by the second. The day came when her brother grew frustrated and threw his supplies away from him in anger. Laurine had been watching of course and, without a second thought, came to his aid. He explained how infuriated he was and how he wanted to give up, and nothing Laurine said would change his mind. Though when she saw the discarded, half made accessory, she saw all the potential and beauty it held. She sat down beside him and tried it for herself, but she soon found that she had the slightest clue on what to do, effectively making a fool of herself. Luis burst out in laughter and teased her gleefully, remarking just how bad she was, while she could only pout and keep trying. Finally, Luis had his fill of laughter and helped his elder sister, showing her just how to use the tools he was using. Then he offered her a piece of pearl white that he believed would fit her perfectly and offered her to make one an accessory with him. She hesitated at first, recalling the words of her father, but just as easily, her brother's excited silver eyes convinced her and soon she began the process of making her accessory.

She copied Luis' schedule, making sure to keep up with her learning so that she would not anger her parents. Every other day, she'd join her little brother in his room and they'd enjoy each other's company as they worked hard on making their accessories, even making challenges in between to keep up their lively attitude. And whenever either of them felt like giving up, they were there to comfort each other and motivate one another to keep going. Neither of them was sure how long they kept up this routine but they really didn't care. They had the company of each other and that kept them going. And before they knew it, they had finished their accessories. Luis had made a cape with soft fluff at both the top and bottom. Laurine had attempted to make one too, but somehow she managed to make one long loop of fabric. She was disappointed and not at all happy with the result but Luis turned her frown upside down by taking her loop cape and wrapping it loosely around her neck, announcing her creation of a scarf instead. "A gorgeous scarf that fits you well." He added kindly. Laurine soon found pride in her work from those mere words and she wrapped her brother in as tight of a hug she could muster. Her scarf now serves as a memory of her dear brother Luis, and not just him, but the love of the family she lost to her greed. She wraps it close, imagining it as them hugging her in comfort and love. She misses them, but she knows that they'll be ok. Luis would make a great king in her stead. She was routing for him from afar, with this scarf that they made in their loving atmosphere to give her the strength to continue through life.

trans, i really loved your description of the planet that eliza lived on. you went into a lot of great detail describing who she was, where she was from, and tying her to one of your cherub cats. the scene you wrote with aphrodite and herself was absolutely heartbreaking and really pulled on my heartstrings!!
