Your favorite mythical creature and why: The Chollima; "Thousand Li Horse." This winged horse may not seem more than a simple pegasus, but it's story is quite... humorous? Here goes: This horse can fly over the entire Korean peninsula in one day. It wants to be tamed, but can't. This horse is too powerful and elegant for any mortal man to encounter (in some cases it's drawn as on fire oof), so you know what it does? Fly up to the sky and never come back. I guess this horse just got sick and tired of the earth :L To me, this horse's reckless, wild nature is more than just your everyday pegasus.

Your favorite mythical creature and why:
I honestly love Kitsune, better known as 'fox spirits'. They have the ability to shape-shift into human form (according to Yōkai folklore). They can have up to nine tails (the more they have, the more powerful/older they are), and are portrayed to be very mischievous. A lot of characters, specifically from my favourite anime, have been depicted as Kitsune (CANNON). This is just fanart, but, like?? UM??? Go ahead and try to convince me that isn't cute.

That is a hard choice between Dragons, Gryphons, and Phoenix. I've never been able to choose between those three, but I suppose I tend most towards dragons?
As far as why I like them... Well, to start with I really like fire (Pyromaniac here), and I don't know, they're just really cool! They're (in general) pretty massive and strong, and I do tend to like things like that, like heavy machinery, rocket launchers... Anything explosive or that involves fire.... So, I suppose that probably is part of where my love for dragons comes from. And then there's the fact that they can fly. I mean, how cool would it be to have a mount that flies? They're pretty much a mixture of things that I really love.

Your favorite mythical creature and why: I'd have to go with a semi-unique answer, the nekomata. It may or may not have to do with the fact that I like cats, but I have more of a reason than that. For one thing, I do like that they aren't just born as a demon cat with two tails, no, these are normal cats that have grown old and have grown a second tail along with them, and have become demons over time. Also, I'll take anything to do with spirits, and nekomatas have spirit summoning abilities, therefor making them a lot better in my book.
I also kind of enjoy their simple look, they're just a cat with two tails, they don't differ much from what they are deep down. Sure, they're demons, but they're still cats, and still look like what they were before instead of becoming this giant ferocious beast.

I'll also give a bit of an honorable mention to the phoenix, specifically because birds and fire are a great combination c:
