Experience; The day was warm and wonderful. A light breeze was blowing in off the sea, carrying with it the rich scent of salt, and the sun was bright overhead. Yes, it was an absolutely picture-perfect summer day in every way! And Ocean knew it. As I guided her down a sand dune, it was all I could do to keep the Grelifcent reined in - she really wanted to break into a full gallop before we'd even reached the beach proper! Yet I didn't want a repeat of last time. I'd nearly fallen off! Thus I didn't let Ocean have her head until we were well and truly down from the dunes. Once I did, we were off like a streak! The mare charged right through a large flock of seabirds that had been resting on the beach, and as they rose into the air around me, I couldn't help but let out a joyous whoop. The sound mixed with the angry cries of the gulls, and was all but lost.
