↬ name ; everhett (EV-ret)
- ↬ nickname ; rhett
↬ meaning ; 'strong', 'hardy', or 'brave'

↬ personality in traits ; absorbent: Rhett is very quick to pick up on things around him, be it knowledge, behaviors, or seemingly irrelevant events or attributes. Like a sponge, without even recognizing it, he easily retains things about the world that may help him in the future. Because of this, he tends to have a remarkable knack for memory.
absent-minded or oblivious: While being exceptionally perceptive to the outside world, Everhett tends to have more trouble with realizing things about himself specifically. He isn’t “street-smart” per say and this shows through his general naivete about the world in general.
persevering: Often confused with stubborness, this kalon is very determined when it comes to things he has a responsibility to or an interest in. He is unwavering and will work until he gets the desired outcome.
critical: Rhett is unabashedly somewhat of a perfectionist in an unorthodox manner. He doesn’t seek perfection so to speak, but he does hold his standards for himself unexpectedly high and expects others to at least meet them in some regards. This is more of a quiet trait, but it is one he actively thinks of when evaluating others.
kind-hearted: Despite his negative aspects, Everhett is still warm at heart. He is very considerate of others beneath his initial prickliness, yet he very rarely if ever lets that shine through on the outside. He’s the type of person to ‘conveniently’ bring extra cookies on the day of a friend’s birthday ‘on accident’, but everyone knows he did it on purpose and find his shyness to be somewhat endearing.
↬ relationship with family ; Overall, Everhett doesn't consider himself especially close to his own family, despite his young age. He thinks very objectively in that their personalities simply do not coexist especially well. He very much considers himself the 'black sheep' of the bunch.
- ↬ father, hoshi ; Of both of his parent’s he cherishes hoshi more, but you could never truly consider him a “daddy’s boy”. More than anything, he respects his father a great deal because he couldn’t see himself conducting the family the same way if he was in the same position.
↬ mother, heejin ; Frankly, Rhett has very little grounds on which he can relate to his mother. His personality clashes with her’s the most of everyone in the entire family, so there is usually a bit of tension in the room when the two are together, even if it’s not intended. He dislikes her nomadic mannerisms more than anything else.
↬ grandmother, chandra ; More than his parents even, Rhett absolutely adores Chandra. He almost sees her as more of a mother figure in the absence of his actual mother and is always up to spend time with her and hear her stories. He also, from spending time with her, loves the environment despite not being an overly outdoorsy person.
↬ sister, koali ; He’s somewhat fascinated by his elder sister. She comes up with and speaks of ideas that he would ordinarily never come up with or consider, and he envies this quality to a certain extent; he wishes he was as creative.
↬ brother, dino ; Like with his sister, the personality of his brother also intrigues him, but at the same time, Rhett also finds himself puzzled with the close bond that Dino shares with their father. He secretly is amazed his dance skills as Everhett himself has no rhythm whatsoever.

↬ biggest nightmare ; Quietly, Rhett does have something of an inferiority complex about his own creativity. Unlike his other family members, he’s much more inclined to academic and logical activities than artistic ones. He can hardly draw stick figures, he’s completely tone deaf, and he has less rhythm than a dead gnat- and he knows all of this. Based on that, his worst fear is being left behind or abandoned for being so square in this way. He often forgets that he has his own amazing talents and capabilities by focusing on what he lacks.
↬ a time they lost something(as an anecdote) ; It may have been a dark, damp Saturday morning outside on that fateful day, but within the Lo household, a much bigger storm was brewing. Out of nowhere, it began. Couch cushions went flying, furniture was tipped and every drawer and cabinet was flung open with no remorse. The force behind all of the wreckage was none other than the middle Lo child, Everhett. Usually a mild, more passive-aggressive entity, what exactly had this boy in such a tizzy?
“Where is it.” he said, smoke practically blowing out of his ears. This demand was addressed to his father, who had rushed into the living space thinking that family was being burglarized.
“Alright, just calm down. What are you looking for?” his father asked, somewhat intimidated by the sheer intensity of his own child.
“My pen. My one good pen,” he said, slamming the drawer he had been rummaging through and plopping down at the kitchen table, cradling his head in his hands. “I really don’t ask for much in this house- that pen was my best comrade,” he said, almost as though he was saluting the death of a fellow soldier. At that moment, a new family member entered the war zone that was once called the kitchen. It was Dino, the youngest member of the family, with a sheet of paper in his hands, and something that looked very familiar in the other. Before he noticed the rubble, he exclaimed in a happy voice:
“Dad! Could you check my homework? I did it really quickly today, plus I found this cool new pen!” With that, Everhett nearly leapt ten feet across the kitchen to snatch the pen out of his brother’s hand. Dramatically falling to the floor with it, he looked closely to make sure it wasn’t too good to be true. As luck would have it, it was just the pen he was looking for. Hoshi and Dino both looked at Rhett with a mixture of bewilderment and tentative awe.
“Well, then, I guess I found it, so…” Everhett said, his chin held high as he held the pen tightly and walked through the kitchen on the way back to his room, ignoring the debris he left in his wake. It probably wasn’t a coincidence that at the same time the door to Rhett’s room shut, the sun peeked out from behind the clouds outside.
