Accessories: He's not much of a jewelry person however he does have a small sea glass pendant that in the shape of a shell around his neck. The shell isn't just some shell, it's a symbol that contains memories of what really matters to him. His family. Whenever he feels lost and depressed the pendent reminds him that there's still a light at the end of the tunnel, even if he can't see it, he has just got to find it again. Often times he shines the sea glass into the light shining down from the waters surface, and a beautiful array of colour reflects off the sea glass and into the surrounding scenery. He's never seen anything like it, just like he's never felt anything so amazing from those who love him. The pendent came from some humans, the nicest ones he's ever met, to which he's never removed the necklace since they placed it on him. So it isn't just a symbol of family, but also of those who have cared for him. Each colour of light that the sea glass gives off, he likes to think of someone who cares for him, who gives him courage to get through those rough patches of current. x

After years going through the motions of life, he had managed to reconnect himself with the humans who gave him his pendent. The thing has gotten old, but it still held it's beauty. With that said, the pendent hadn't always caught the light and shined the darkness away, as his mane had began to get in the way as it grew to his potential and occasionally covered the pendent. Upon the humans realizing how much the merloin had adored the necklace, they convinced the merloin to allow them to make him a set of earrings to go with the pendent. This way there would be no worry of his mane covering up the beautiful shine. However the merloin only allowed them to put the stubbed earrings in the bottom lobe of one of his ears. Once the deed was done, he was off again to continue his adventures. x

In even more later years, it has seem his fate tied him back to those humans as he once again returned to them. Perhaps he had just enjoyed their company, although he had no idea what tied him to them. This time the humans hadn't needed to convince the merloin to take another gift, it was a bracelet. Although the merloin wasn't planning to life this time, as he found a nice cave by the shore to make into a nice home for himself. The humans lived in a nice small house by the shore, that's where they had found the sea glass to make their jewelry with, it was how they got money to continue living. But sadly there seemed to be less and less sea glass appearing on the shores. That was when the merloin decided it was time for another adventure. x

His adventure wasn't like his previous ones, as before he'd go out to sight see and meet other merloins, now it was a treasure hunt. The merloin was in search of more sea glass for his humans, and once he had found a handful he had returned to the shore where they lived. He presented them with the sea glass and of course, they were thrilled. That was how he had gotten his most important accessory. His satchel. They had gifted him with this so that he may go out and bring them back more sea glass, they had even taught him out to use it. The merloin didn't have to, but he cared for this humans as if they were humans. After all when he had since met them, he was washed up and beached on their shore. He was sick and orphaned, they had helped him regain his strength and sent him on his way. Forever the merloin was thankful for that, and this was how he could repay his debts to them. Besides, he loved it. He was able to continue his adventures, and see these humans on a regular basis. He'd wear the satchel strap over his far side shoulder, it'd lay across his chest until the strap connected with the bag section. The bag hung easily by his side. x

From then on, the merloin was called Lockett.
