Small chirps and barks sounded through the field and meadows, with distant forests near their borders. This area in particular was inhabited by what you could barely call a pack of the jackals, including Kiri. She kept to her own den most of the time, preferring that mostly and keeping quiet to being fully out and about with the other two jackals she had met, but she did know one jackal she would often communicate with by the name of Lavilah. Kiri usually spent most of her time, when not in her den, around Lavilah. She considered the other jackal's company relaxing, seeming to care strongly for the fellow jackal that she had seen practically as family as she did with the other that was with them.
Kiri had yet to try and communicate with the other jackal, moreso out of habitual cautiousness and general quiet, stoic demeanor, than not wanting to interact. They had not approached or interacted with Lavilah and her, so she generally did not do the same. She had hopes, though. Perhaps that they would come around eventually, until then? Kiri was patient, she was happy with the small 'pack' and the other jackals she has met in it.
