Daphne prefers to lead a life with the smallest possible carbon footprint. She constantly thinks about how to minimize the garbage she creates and how she can improve our habit of pollution. This is a core value for Daphne, and as such it really bothers her how some people can be so ignorant as to the harm they cause. Little things others do like grabbing a stack of napkins at a restaurant 'just in case' and then throwing them all away really irritate her. She simply cannot understand how others can go about their days without a singe thought about the impact their actions are making.

She hates how items such as hand soaps and facial cleansers that contain micro-beads are so wildly popular. The little plastic beads are being washed into our water system by the billions. They don't decompose and are too small to be cleaned without harming aquatic life with teeny nets that could trap them. She hates that K-cups are so popular. Don't people realize that the plastic they're made from is specially engineered, and as such never decomposes and cannot be recycled? Daphne brings her own containers to restaurants, uses washable towels and handkerchiefs instead of paper towels, uses bar soap instead of soap from a disposable plastic pump, and other small lifestyle changes. It's something she prides herself on and she finds it infuriating that others simply don't think of the harm they may be causing the way she constantly does.
