Full Warrior Name -

Lizardleap
Lizardkit xxx Lizardpaw

Personality -

Lizardleap is quite energetic. You'll see him 'leap'ing around the place, hence his suffix in his name. Though, it isn't anything graceful. It is far from graceful, actually. His scar didn't effect his balance, but throughout time, he had lost some whiskers, which made him have a little less balance than others. Lizardleap would still continue to smile, even when he was stumbling and crashing around camp. This young tom was optimistic, always confident on what would happen next. Just because some things were negative along the way, doesn't mean things won't get better. Besides, the worse it is in life, the easier the smallest positive things will make someone smile. It is almost as if he was granted all of this happiness from Starclan. This was very impossible, however, since he wasn't born a clancat. Or.. at least no one was sure if he was.

Story -

Rain. Lightning. Thunder. The sounds continued in that one order. Most of the cats in the barn were sleeping soundly, though some stayed awake, watching the storm with bristled backs and fluffed out tails. No one could blame them, the storm was quite wild. If it weren't for them, they wouldn't notice the thing that no one had even thought was possible. Fire. Smoke lingered about, the first sign that there was something wrong. Lightning must've struck so close that something caught fire. They had trees, which only spread the fire faster. Only a couple of fox-lengths away was the barn. A wooden, vulnerable, barn. It only took minutes before a spark started it all. Cats that were sleeping sprung awake, terrified that they might not all make it out, or if any of them were. The time was unfortunate for one molly. She had kitted only days ago, with the result of the kitten named Lizard. She hadn't chosen the name on her own, her owners did. It was their thing. She didn't care for that, however. She was just glad to have successfully given birth. The tom-kit huddled in the corner, where he expected warmth from other cats in the barn. Frightened yowling and meowing kept him awake, which luckily told him that the fire was going to hit the barn. It started at the top, where the leaves of the last tree caught the wild sparks. The top of the barn, which was already a bit rotted, began to collapse and burn up, trapping some cats momentarily until they found a way out. No one made it out safely. Not near as many cats came out of the burning fire as they hoped. Most of the cats that had gotten out had seared pelts, or were temporarily, if not permanently, blinded by the smoke. The molly who was the mother to Lizard managed to slip out of the barn in time, only to notice a specific tiny kit wasn't with her. Her son. The smoke was hard enough to see through, but fallen pieces of wood made it hard as well. Her only guidance to her kit was the helpless mewing for her. He had been trapped between rotten boards of wood, where the molly quickly dug around in to find Lizard. This was where the scar happened. It was not meant to be given to the young kit, not at all. But her desperate digging led to her slicing at the muzzle, not deep enough for anything too bad, just deep enough for a scar. The fur and skin were already a bit torn due to some sharp splinters and such, making the claw marks the thing that officially caused the scar to form. Neither the molly nor Lizard cared at that moment. They just had to get out of the barn. Some lives were lost, unfortunately. No matter how depressing that was, the cats had to get over it. The mother brought her kit out of the barn, immediately racing towards the woods that hadn't been in the way of the fire. She knew someone was there that she was somewhat related to- Python. She heard about their little escape plan so many moons ago. When only Adder returned for a visit, she was informed about some clan that Python joined, but Adder refused. It was infuriating back then, but now she was grateful for the information. She could find a place for her son.

Rain trickled lightly down the tom's pelt. Every step he took made a splashing sound due to all of the puddles and mud. Adder should be arriving soon for them to reunite for a bit, shouldn't he? Pythonstrike padded along the borders, trying hard to catch the scent of anything the rain hadn't covered. His tail rose with excitement, hearing the sound of meowing. Was his brother finally hear? Wait. The sound didn't seem right. It was choked up and desperate. His brother would never sound like that. Two silhouettes appeared, soon clearing up to be a grown she-cat and a kit.
"Python! I need your help, please!" The molly desperately cried, her voice muffled while she carried Lizard by his scruff.

"..Who are you?" He mewed, flicking an ear. The voice was familiar, despite how croaky it seemed at the moment.

"Its me, Iris. Remember?" She placed her kit down carefully, laying on the ground to keep him safe from anything that could possible come near. "You were in the barn, many moons ago. I heard you escaped and joined a 'clan' here."

Pythonstrike took a moment to ponder what she said, then gave a nod to himself. He remembered her. "Iris, what are you doing here? Why aren't you at the barn?"

Iris huffed, removing her locked gaze on Lizard to Python. She attempted to hold back tears that were forming. "I need you to take him." She glanced back down at her kit, trying to lick clean the blood that was dripping down the kit's muzzle. "The barn burned down, and I won't be able to take care of him on my own. Your clan has to do something about it. I have heard about the ways you've named yourselves based on age and personality, so please, take him. Call him Lizardkit." She ordered, gently nudging the kit towards her old friend.

The tom shifted his gaze towards the clan camp, his ears flattening. The code commanded that all kits, no matter where they come from, must be taken in. "Alright. I'll see what I can do. But you need to get out of here, fast. They won't be happy to see you around here. If you want, you can say a quick goodbye." It was easy to guess how the barn burned. The storm must have been a lot worse over there.

The molly nodded slowly, her motherly instincts almost forcing her to stay back. But she couldn't. She bent down, rubbing her head affectionately against the kit, giving a purr. She wanted to say something, something that the kit would forever remember. So she wouldn't be forgotten. But there was nothing she could say. Reluctantly, she stepped back, slipping away into the woods. That was when Pythonstrike could hear Spottedmask arrive.

"What is with all of the commotion here?" He grumbled, exhausted. He was now a senior warrior, and soon he'd be an elder. He looked over at his former apprentice, yawning before coming across the kit that sat by his paws. "Who is that?"

Pythonstrike sighed, watching the molly scurry off. He couldn't imagine how much guilt she felt for leaving her kit. He blinked before taking in what Spottedmask had asked. "Er.. I found this kit. I don't think any of the.. parents are alive. He's half-starved anyways, who knows what could have happened to the others he is related to. The code states that we help any kits we find. So please, take him to camp." Pythonstrike waited a couple moments before finishing.

"Call him Lizardkit."

Username - Casper The Ethiopian
Full Warrior Name - Sorrowleap
Personality - Despite his name, although hesitant, Sorrowleap is a bright and lively cat. He loves everyone and would die for a clanmate he never even talked to, even though he is very shy. He isn't the type to go out and approach others, he's much more content just sitting in the background and letting them approach him. He's extremely loyal to his clan, because he feels he needs to prove himself past the 'storm kit,' found and dumped on the clan's pair of mated she-cats, Bouldernose and Sunshoulder.
Story - Sorrowleap's parents actually abandoned him. They were loners, actually former kittypets who didn't want their newly born litter taken away. Soon after, however, the parents discovered that they were helpless at hunting. The mother starved as she laid around her seven kits, all mewling with hunger as she neglected them to better feed herself. All the food that was caught, mostly young birds who fell out of the nest to soon, went right to her. After a few weeks, the male died of lack of nutrition, leaving the mother alone. She thought that she could fend for herself, but was sorely mistaken. After two of the kits dropped off, skinny as walking bones, the mother was enraged. In a fit of anger, she attacked the kittens, mauling them with her outstretched claws. Only one kit lived: the smallest tom, suffering only a large scar across his face. As she heard his cries, the mother came back to her senses. She knew she was an unfit mother and that, with her, this male would suffer the same fate as her mate and his littermates. She picked him up and carried him as far away as she could, stooping only as a wave of cat scent hit her. She dropped the kitten, screaming and kicking, on the clan border and ran. This is where the clan found him: a night later, his mother's scent concealed with the stench of fear and blood. Sunshoulder was actually the one t find him, she dropped her prey where she stood and ran back to camp with the kit as fast as she could. She and her mate, Bouldernose, welcomed him with wide open arms and named him Sorrowkit, both after his supposed 'rouge attack' and his tear-shaped markings.
Extra - Bouldernose and Sunshoulder seem like good parents for this kit. Because they're lesbians, they can't have their own kittens, so I see no reason for them not to adopt this little guy here. That being so, I've decided to design what I imagine his mother as for the extra.

End date shortened to the 26th so I can release my staff kit.

A warning was given, so was a two hour warning.
I also just now posted the results.

I'm sorry and I don't mean to seem like a sore looser, but I feel like Nightstormy copied off my form and I dislike that they won this. The suffix was the same, the story involved the mother giving the kit the scar and giving him to the clan, and the extra was art of the mother. It just bothers me, especially so because skrímsli had told me that you had talked to a Moderator about the possible copying.
