How would you get her to Open Up/Cope with her ears?: I would introduce myself to her and not even talk about her ears at first, I'd let her know I mean her no harm and that her ears aren't a problem for me and that she shouldn't be ashamed of them around me. After that I would just hang out with her, do what she likes to do, do what I can to make her feel comfortable and let her open up when she's ready to. That's how I make friends. I don't want to force anyone to open up. Heck, I don't open up until I feel comfortable that the other person is comfortable with me, so I know how hard it can be to open up to someone. To help her cope with her ears? I'll just love her. Tell her how beautiful she is 'cause I know it's true. The best way to handle someone not liking something about themselves is to be one of the people who likes it, and many other things about them. To tell them it's okay and remind them everyone has something. They're not alone feeling outcast. So I would help Gabby buy telling her. "it's okay. We're not perfect, but that's why we can be friends. Because our differences make us work out even better and help us understand people more."

Time to meet.
I was wandering around one day, feeling a bit nervous on my own. I'm not usually the kind of person to run off alone, but someone wanted me to run errands. Which I would have done if I hadn't seen someone hiding in a shadowed corner next to a bush. A bunny? no, a dog...no a rainbowpaintwolf. She looked pretty young and lost and I hated being alone. So I quietly walked over. "is something wrong?" she looked up at me then hid her face. "n-no..nothing..it's..n-nothing." she said in a surprisingly deep voice. She looked young, but appearing young myself, I'm never one to judge on that. "Okay." I told her gently sitting down. "you don't have to tell me." she avoided my gaze and I stayed, probably completely forgetting any responsibility I may have had. I didn't like seeing this cute little bunny- or anyone else- cry. "What do you want??" she sniffed finally. "What I can do to help whatever it is I guess." she threw back her head and looked a bit angry. "it's nothing you can fix. So it's nothing!" I blinked surprised lightly. then softened and sighed. "you're right. There are a lot of things I can't fix, but I sure do try to help.. I just thought talking about it might help a bit, sorry." I stood up. Perhaps she didn't want my help...maybe it was best that I leave her be. "A-No wait I'm sorry!" I heard her say after I started to walk away. I blinked and looked over she went quiet and looked unsure of what to say. "I'm going to run errands for some family....you- can come with me if you want." The rpw stared at the ground before staring up at me. "okay." she said finally. "what's your name?" she blinked and hesitated. "Gabby. Gabby Hopscotch." she winced as though she expected me to say something about her name but I just smiled. "that's a cute name. I'm Coava."

How would you get her to Open Up/Cope with her ears?: I would show her that she is unique and beautiful. Her ears are lovely just as they are. She can make them pretty with bows, and she can use them to help spread her paint if she wants! Painting with her ears would yield some interesting and lovely results, I think.
I would remind her that she is also lovely in other ways as well. No other RPW as far as I know has her color-changing paint. She'd be an absolute master at egg dyeing, and nobody could hope to match her. She is beautiful and adorable in her own right, and definitely one of the most unique RPWs you could hope to meet.
I would also bring her to meet some other lovely, unique RPWs, such as my lady K'huthari. Calamari is lovely, but often comes off as scary due to her unique feature...her tentacles. Calamari could give her guidance on how to cope with being so unique, and they could bond together, boosting each others' confidence.

Personality: Sylvia is very timid and shy, embarrassed by her ears. In fact, some RPWs see her as mute, she speaks so little. She places very little value in herself, seeing herself as a freak not only due to her ears and strange paint, but also due to her Peter Pan Syndrome. She feels as if nobody will take her seriously with her condition, which only furthers her shyness. However, when she opens up, she is an absolute sweetie, forever loyal and cuddly. She hates to see her friends upset, and will do everything in her power to cheer them up. In addition to making others smile, she also excels in painting Easter eggs. With her color-changing paint and a few wax crayons, she can make nearly infinite eggy masterpieces. When she isn't using her paint on eggs, the color usually defaults to matching her mood. This is why her paint is (sadly) usually blue when she's not decorating eggs.

How would you get her to Open Up/Cope with her ears?: I would send in Jackie and the girls*.
Jackie knows how to take care of shy little pups; she has to deal with two of them on a daily basis! She also knows the problems that come with long ears, because she has a pair of pretty long ears herself.
The girls would become her friends, and probably adopt her as a third sister. They are too young to know or care about discrimination.
Then I would come in, introduce myself as the owner of these Rainbow Paint Wolves, and ask her if she would like to join me. If she says yes, I would take her home, and tell her that she is the most beautiful RPW I have ever seen. I would learn some things about her, like her favorite food and color, and repurpose a stack of blankets as a temporary bed until I get a real one for her.
*Jackie is a kangaroo-based RPW, the girls are two female pups, Jackies adopted daughters

She's speical and one of a kind and there's no one else out there that's like her. I would remind her that it's not what's on the outside that defines her, it's the inside. But, if she so choses to dress up and pin her ears back then I'd be right there along side of her.

Dear, I was picked on as a child. My teeth were so terribly huge that I was constantly being called big tooth or buck tooth. And it was scary.

But then I learned about saber teeth tigers and I became in love with my teeth. They related me to my past.. They made me who I am.
