Been a few weeks....

Name: Ashkit / Ashpaw / Ashfoot
Gender: She-cat

Personality: Ashkit strives to be the best cat she can be. She tries to never be negative, although every once in a while she will snap, and hides her problems so that she looks perfect. However, she is far from it. She is sensitive and easily offended, and overly protective of her clanmates. The sight of death is an awful thing to her, and she only kills other cats when absolutely necessary. This is why she is a bit timid when battle talk arises; she is worried she will be forced to extreme measures during a battle.
Finally, Ashkit is a perfectionist. Not only does she try to hide all of her flaws, but she also tries to look like the best warrior possible. She practices battle moves and hunting constantly to the point where she's always exhausted, but she thinks that's okay. As long as she can outperform the other cats, that's all that matters, right? This doesn't mean she wants other cats to fail; she just wants herself to succeed.

Bio: Ashkit is a Clanborn kit, technically. As in she was born in the camp. Her parents were both loners who were staying for a short while after they had saved an apprentice from a fox. They left in the middle of the night, and all of the cats were rather relieved to have them gone..until they glanced in the nursery and found Ashkit still nestled comfortably with the other kits. She was accepted into the clan - after all, what other option did they have? To throw her out into the forest? The loners had never decided on a name, so they decided to call her Ashkit after her smoky, ashy features. She was raised on another queen's milk and is looking forward to her apprenticeship. She doesn't know that her parent's left her; she was told that they were forced to leave and wanted her to be safe. She believes the story and idolizes her parents, who were willing to give up their daughter to face whatever they went to face.

Extra: (Written when she is an apprentice. I'm sorry that it's longer than 250 words, but I really had trouble making it that short. I did the best I could and it's shortened significantly from the original~)
Ashpaw crouched into her hunting crouch, making sure her tail was absolutely still. As a different apprentice's mentor scolded them for having their paws in the wrong place, she felt a rush of pride at being correct and a touch of sympathy for the other apprentice. But there was no time for that. In front of her was the biggest squirrel she had ever seen. Slowly stalking forward, she watched for twigs and dry plants to avoid crunching sounds. Suddenly, it seemed to sense her, and shot off. "Too bad," her mentor had already started to say, but Ashpaw shot after it. It was pelting for a tree, but she was faster than it, she was gaining! Leaping, she reached her claws out to grab the squirrel and found that it had vanished. "Mouse dung!" she snapped, looking around for her, and as she turned around she found herself face to face with the biggest dog she had ever seen. It was massive, with slavering jaws filled with sharp teeth. "Help!" she yelped as it lunged at her, but her clanmates were too far away. It would shred her before they could even get a paw on it. It was up to her to defeat this mongrel. Ducking, she lashed out with her hind legs, her hind claws raking it's belly. Snarling, it snapped at her tail, and she yanked it back, feeling a trickle of blood fall down it. With a ferocious yowl, she leaped on its back and began to claw repeatedly at it's back. After a few moments of whimpered, it fell to the ground and tried to crush her with a roll, but she had already leaped off. However, it managed to bite her flank as she flew past. Fortunately, the mutt had decided he'd had enough and went running home at the same moment that her clanmates burst from the shrubs. "Wow, you fought that all by yourself? You're like, a, hero! That thing could have come to camp!" her fellow apprentice babbled on, and Ashpaw's heart swelled with pride. I guess I kinda am.

Why do you want to be part of the community?: I was a part of the first (?) Warrior Cat Adoptables, and I had many cats (I am still considering whether I want to transfer some of them or not.) It was lots of fun back then and I'm getting back into Warriors again, so when I saw this I figured Why not? I'm really excited for the chance to rejoin the community with a new cat.
