Personality: Moonshine is very stubborn and strong-willed and does not give up easily. He's very friendly despite this. He also emits a powerful feeling, and is often the elected leader of a group. He's a joy to ride, and many younger riders have loved to take lessons on him because of his smooth gait and obedience. Many horses have described him as wolf because of his strong will and perseverance.

Favorite food: Moonshine absolutely loves the cool, minty taste of peppermints. He loves their intricate design and coloration, and could eat them by the handful if he were allowed to.
Friends: Moonshine is very good friends with a chestnut stallion named Sky. The two, although they have very contrasting personalities, get along very well. Both are very good lesson horses, and this may be one of the reasons they get along so well. They often graze together, and can be found conversing quite frequently.

Accessory: Moonshine is extremely attached to a bald eagle's feather; it belonged to a wing feather of an eagle. He received it from his first owner, whom was a native American; he now wears the feather wound around a strand of his mane and gets angry and unpredictable when it is removed and will not calm down until it is returned.
How He Received His Name {This occurred 3 years ago, when Moonshine first arrived):
The sun was setting, staining the sky with a vibrant collage of red, yellow, orange, and several streaks of purple. Jade Skyfall was making her way to the paddock where her new horse had arrived. He was scarcely more than a year old, as his previous owners had stated. His show name was Dazzle n' Daze, like his papers stated, but there was little more pertaining to the horse's name but that.
She unlocked the gate with a soft, nearly inaudible click and walked to where the horse was standing. Once she reached the handsome colt, she gently reached out and stroked his shoulder, talking in a soft tone. "Good boy," the girl crooned, patting the silky-smooth neck. "What should I call you?" As the sun sunk deeper and deeper beneath the mountaintops, Jade pondered, all the while spending time with the equine.
She stayed until the moon was high in the sky, not minding the time of day. As she turned to leave, she noticed the way the white light of the moon shone down on the handsome coat. "But of course," Jade murmured. "Moonshine."
