Name:CaspianGender:Male
Romantic and Sexual Orientation:Cinromantic Heteroromantic Recipromantic Demi-Heterosexual
Hobbies:ChessCaspian loves to play chess. While his amount of freetime to actually sit down and play a game is limited, he'll often start up a game and then finish it at a later date. Out of his crew, he can find at least one wolf to play him, and he will often challenge his peers to beat the reigning champ - himself - with the prize being an entire day without work. Of course, no one has ever beaten him, though he holds hope that one day, the students will beat their teacher.
Training and SwordplayThis RPW was trained as a child on how to use a sword, what with his parents being the King and Queen of their province. Though the tragically died in a forest fire, in his short time with them that he did have, Caspian learned much from the two of them. Because of his early education in warfare and the rules of a fair fight, Caspian adores to partake in swordplay. He is very muscular, having trained for nearly all of his life in fighting techniques...particularly those regarding weapons such as knives, swords, and shields - though the latter he prefers to not use if he doesn't desperately need one of them. Because he's spent most of his life around these things, he has never needed any additional training with them, and has rather taken up teaching others how to properly use these particular items, should they show enough interest in doing so.
Occupation:PrinceNot known to many, Caspian is actually a prince, as his father was
King of the Seas and his mother was
Queen of the Birds. Being a prince, he was offered a lot early on in his life that others were not. This would explain his high intelligence levels and his ability to get along well with most anyone. If you make an enemy of him, know that you are a most dastardly being - only the most cruel, evil beings does Caspian loathe and hate. Most beings, even if Caspian doesn't like them, he can get past the uncomfortableness and at least be civilized towards them, as he was taught to do in his youth. Being a prince, Caspian was also taught how to understand different perspectives, although he still might never agree with them. This has helped him form lasting friendships with many RPWs, and has ultimately helped him get far in life.
SailorCaspian's old care-taker used to joke about the boy never leaving his bathtub. When he got old enough, Caspian spent hours in the ponds and rivers by his home. His old care-taker would even take him to the beach every so often, and these trips were highlights in Caspian's youth. When he became an adult, he moved out and worked on a ship for several years. The captain loved the boy's hard work ethic, and offered to buy him a ship. Caspian agreed, paying back the captain before accepting his generous offer. Caspian himself then became a captain. Sea salt has always flowed through his veins, and the call of the ocean seems to be the only thing that will put him to sleep at night. Though, at times, even his old friend the sea will turn on him, creating such a ruckus that he couldn't possibly get to sleep on his own. In these circumstances, his crew will usually offer to help him out by keeping him company, or staying awake themselves just chatting with him until he drifts off. Sometimes, though, he finds himself up all night, all alone, wondering where the sea will toss him next.

Long Personality:Caspian is calm, cool, and collected. He rarely gets angry, and prefers to be around others who lift him up instead of those that only tear him down. He has a love for others, and a compassion to see them do well in life. He is filled to the brim with emotion, as he feels as if his friends are his family. He forms relationships with others very easily and quickly, particularly if he and they are like-minded. Once he's formed a bond with someone, he'll never let that being go - he is loyal to the core, and refuses to leave his friends when they're in trouble. Because of this, he has been called brave and courageous, as when faced with a particularly nasty situation, Caspian will take the bull by the horns and tackle it to the ground. He's pretty fearless when it comes to protecting those he loves, and he would go to the ends of the earth to guard those he holds most dear.
A negotiator and mediator by training, Caspian has been taught to understand that while beings may never agree, perhaps they CAN agree to disagree. Caspian was taught at a young age to respect those who are different, and even if he can never, ever agree with them, perhaps he can at least see where they're coming from. Unless they are truly evil, Caspian will do his best to get along with anyone. He can also solve fights amongst his friends very easily, and can quickly figure out what both parties want out of the situation. Even if he can't give everyone what they want, compromise is always an option...and Caspian tends to help others find the compromises in everything they are struggling with in life.
Passionate about what he does and what he lives for in life, Caspian never gives up when he knows he can do something. He refuses to allow others to dictate how he lives his life, as he lives it for his reasons and his reasons alone. Being a strong RPW and a hard worker, he's always been good with his paws. Intelligent and curious, Caspian also loves learning, and when he's not captaining his ship, he can be found reading books and challenging his crew or friends to intellectually difficult games, such as chess or word-based games like Scrabble and Scattergories. While in his younger years he was quite a bad sport when he lost, he has grown and matured so that now, if he truly is beaten, he'll accept his fate with dignity.
An ambivert, Caspian is neither an extrovert nor an introvert. Sure, according to personality tests he does lean more towards the extrovert end of the spectrum, but he considers himself a true mesh of the two types. At times he will want to be around others, but at other times he will wish to be absent from them. When giving orders to his crew he can be loud and knows how to be heard - but when he's doing other activities, he's quiet and doesn't say much. Having a great sense of humor, Caspian can think up different jokes, but rarely does he speak them aloud. He will laugh as loudly as he wishes when he finds something amusing, but won't generally be the one to bring up such prankish activities. While he's not the most social guy around, Caspian doesn't have problems introducing himself to others. He isn't usually the one to initiate conversation, but he'll chat with someone if approached first. When he truly needs to speak up, he'll do so - but without something good to say, why bother speaking at all? Also, he doesn't mind being the center of attention, particularly when something important is happening that he needs to deal with. He might not enjoy all the eyes turned upon him, but he knows that he will deal with life as it comes to him.
In general, Caspian does his best to arrive on time when there's an important meeting going on. He prefers to be more laid-back, but if there's something big happening, he won't hesitate to book it over to wherever he needs to be. He has a good eye for details, and can usually work problems out in his head, and this is one of the reasons why he has such great timing now. He can figure out what time it is now and what time he needs to get to wherever he's headed - even if that day is months in advance. This is mainly because Caspian refuses to procrastinate. He thinks of procrastinators as lazy beings who don't have a good enough work ethic, and that is something he refuses to be. Caspian also makes sure he knows exactly where he's going, as all of his plans are very well thought-out, particularly in regards to sailing.
He's not a slob, but Caspian doesn't always clean up very well. Yes, his ship is ship-shape, but his quarters on that ship aren't always in the neatest condition. He knows where everything is, and feels relaxed in his quarters, so he's fine with the condition of his living space. As long as the clutter doesn't creep out of his quarters, he's fine with it, as he refuses to shove his lifestyle on other members of his crew who prefer to be more neat than he does.
Overall, Caspian loves wholeheartedly and lives life to its fullest. He might not like what fate throws his way, but he knows that after all he's been through, he can overcome anything life decides to throw him into. While he has his irritable moments - particularly after sleepless nights - Caspian does his best to have a positive outlook on life. He will always protect and guard those closest to him, and would rather see himself come to harm than allow his friends to sacrifice themselves for his survival.

Crew:FiadoFirst Mate/Chief Mate/Chief Officer and Master-at-armsWikipedia wrote:The Chief Officer...is the head of the deck department on a merchant vessel, second-in-command after the ship's Master. The Chief Mate's primary responsibilities are the vessel's cargo operations, its stability, and supervising the deck crew. The mate is responsible for the safety and security of the ship, as well as the welfare of the crew on board....Additional duties include maintenance of the ship's hull, cargo gears, accommodations, the life saving appliances and the firefighting appliances. The chief mate also trains the crew and cadets on various aspects like safety, firefighting, search and rescue, and various other contingencies. The chief officer assumes command of the whole ship in the absence or incapacitation of the master.
The "Master-at-arms" was...responsible discipline aboard ship...
While Fiado has her hotheaded moments and her unruly attitude, she is an excellent First Mate. Caspian admires her loyalty and her unwillingness to waver in the face of danger. He knows that should anything happen to him, the rest of the crew will be in capable paws. Fiado and Caspian are polar opposites, and this aspect is what he also appreciates in her - when he needs a second opinion on something, he will ask her for her guidance, and she will give him a different route as an option to take. He ultimately makes his own decisions, but he always greatly values her input. She doesn't take any flak, either, so Caspian greatly appreciates her friendship and her willingness to serve the crew. He knows she can dish out just as much as she can take, and that she will give discipline to those that need it. For these reasons, Caspian chose her to be First Mate and Master-at-arms.
ThalassaSecond Mate/Second OfficerWikipedia wrote:The Second Officer...is a qualified OICNW watch stander, directing the bridge team and navigating the ship. The Second Mate is the 3rd most experienced deck department officer after the Captain/Master and Chief Mate. The Second Mate[']s primary duty is navigational, which includes updating charts and publications, keeping them current, making passage plans, and all aspects of ship navigation. The Second Mate's other duties may include directing line handlers, cargo watches, directing anchor detail and training and instructing crew members.
The decision to make Thalassa Second Mate instead of First Mate was a very difficult decision for Caspian to make, as the wolf had known Thalassa for longer than he'd known Fiado. He ultimately decided to place Thalassa as Second Mate because of the navigational aspect of this role. Thalassa is a superb swimmer - even better than Caspian himself, because of his strong mutation genes - and in being such an excellent swimmer, Thalassa also has an excellent understanding of direction and navigation. He can be counted on to always keep Caspian up to date on what lurks ahead, and can also be relied upon to update the older information of what lies behind. He is very thorough in his work, and for this reason, Caspian chose him to be Second Mate.
AnnéeBoatswainWikipedia wrote:Highly skilled in marlinspike seamanship, the Boatswain is the highest ranking unlicensed (rating) in the deck department. The Boatswain generally carries out the tasks instructed by the Chief Mate, directing the Able Seaman and Ordinary Seaman. The Boatswain generally does not stand a navigational watch.
To most, Année seems like a weakling and a pushover, thanks to her quiet nature and her overly-emotional feelings. But Caspian can see through the mask she puts on for others - he understands that she is firm, strong, and won't take any flak from anyone. He knows that when push comes to shove, Année won't resist. Caspian appreciates these aspects of her, and has found her to be very skilled when it comes to nautical aspects. He also knows she will take orders well, and will not hesitate to give her all for her friends and family. For these reasons, Thalassa chose Année to be Boatswain.
ThackaryAble Seaman/ABWikipedia wrote:An Able Seaman works under the Boatswain, completing tasks such as working mooring lines, operating deck gear, standing anchor details, and working cargo. The AB also stands a navigational watch, generally as a lookout or helmsman.
Thackary is very much like her mother in the aspect that she is both brave and courageous, and doesn't think twice about doing something for the betterment of another. Unlike her mother, however, Thackary never appears weak and rather talks back to whomever it is who is ordering her around when she doesn't agree. She can be viewed as disrespectful from time to time, but she ultimately does do what needs to be done, and Caspian does understand that Thackary isn't really disrespectful - this is just how others incorrectly view her. With a fire in her chest and determination in her soul, Thackary was born to be on the ocean. For these reasons, Caspian chose her for the role of Able Seaman.
OysterChief EngineerWikipedia wrote:The Chief Engineer...is responsible for all operations and maintenance that have to do with all machinery and equipment throughout the ship. He may be paid on par with the captain, although he is never responsible for the action of ship. The chief engineer cannot assume command and the command always rests with the Captain of the ship, unless it is clearly mentioned within the safety management system.
Oyster may be young, but when Caspian met him after coming ashore one day, he knew the boy had talent. His mother was heavily into inventing things and was also a scientist and engineer, and these things rubbed off onto Oyster, who at a very young age understood the ideas related to engineering. He definitely is very quiet, but Caspian does understand that this is just because Oyster gets so focused on his work that he doesn't like to talk, as that ends up distracting him more. Oyster, being the only one out of the entire crew who understand engineering, is the sole RPW in charge of the machinery of the ship. It's a lot of responsibility for the young pup, but Caspian knows that Oyster will perform well in any role he places him into. For this reason, Caspian chose Oyster to be Chief Engineer.
BellindaThird Mate/Third OfficerWikipedia wrote:The Third Officer is the least experienced qualified OICNW watch-stander. When on navigational watch, the Third Mate directs the bridge team, maneuvering the vessel, keeping it safe and on track. The Third Mate[']s primary duty is matters of safety, inspecting gear lockers, lifeboats, and all equipment onboard insuring that it is safe and operational. Other duties include directing line handlers, cargo watches, directing anchor details and training and instructing crew members.
Bellinda wanted to be involved with the crew from the very beginning. The soft-spoken RPW really did speak up about this, and Caspian admired her tenacity. While she hates giving orders, Caspian realized that she has a very good eye for detail, and this aspect of hers would allow her to be able to inspect things for problems very easily. She is also very concerned with the safety of others, so making her in charge of nearly all things safety-related on the ship was an easy decision. For these reasons, Caspian chose Bellinda to be Third Mate.
AzlynChief Steward and Chief CookWikipedia wrote:The chief steward directs, instructs, and assigns personnel performing such functions as preparing and serving meals; cleaning and maintaining officers' quarters and steward department areas; and receiving, issuing, and inventorying stores....Additional duties may include baking bread, rolls, cakes, pies, and pastries.
The chief cook is the senior unlicensed crew member working in the steward's department of a ship. His position corresponds to that of the Boatswain in the deck department....The chief cook directs and participates in the preparation and serving of meals; determines timing and sequence of operations required to meet serving times; inspects galley and equipment for cleanliness and proper storage and preparation of food.
Having Azlyn join the crew was one of the easiest choices Caspian had to make. With her passion for cooking and baking, she was a perfect fit for the crew, who desperately needed someone in charge of food preparation and service. With an excellent sense of timing, Azlyn keeps on top of her schedule very well, and gets food out in a timely manner all by herself, as she has no one else to help her feed the entire crew - and herself! With her determined nature and her sticktoitiveness, Caspian has full faith in her abilities in the kitchen. For this reason, Caspian chose Azlyn to become the Chief Steward and Chief Cook.
AkayCaulker, Ropemaker, and Yeoman of the SheetsWikipedia wrote:The Caulker maintained and repaired the caulking of the ship's hull.
The Ropemaker made, maintained and repaired ropes on board.
The Yeoman of the Sheets was in charge of the rope store. Given that the ship was rarely dry inside and the ropes rotted when wet, preserving the rope was a major problem.
Akay might have six bush babies and be quite motherly to the youngsters on the ship, but towards those her own age or older, this sweetness dies away nearly instantly. She is only open with young children and pets. Others she can be rather clammed-up around, unless she knows them very well. Most of the time she really doesn't deal with the crew very often, however, thanks to her rank on the ship. She can often be found high up in the air, inspecting the ropes and making sure everything is as it should be. When she's not high up, she's as low as one could get, patching up the caulking on the exterior and interior of the ship's lower-most parts. Her job isn't glamorous and isn't very well-known, but without her, the ship simply wouldn't be able to function properly. For these reasons, Caspian chose Akay to be Caulker, Ropemaker, and Yeoman of the Sheets.
ClarissaArmourerWikipedia wrote:The Armourer maintained and repaired the smaller weapons on the ship.
Clarissa is the newest member to the crew, and Caspian is still getting used to her. She isn't around much, and is usually holed up in the armory, looking over the weapons and making sure each and every one is in tiptop shape. She was suggested to Caspian by Fiado, and since she was highly recommended, Caspian took Fiado's word and hired her on the spot. Fiado assured him that she was just as good with a sword and weapons as he was, and while Caspian was a bit skeptical, he watched Clarissa fight Fiado for a spot on the ship, and while this girl may be mysterious, one thing about her is not: she is very skilled, and highly valuable to the crew. For these reasons, Caspian chose her to be Armourer.

Wave has come out of her shell much more now.She is more willing to be in crowds, and will not shy away if someone tries to speak with her. While all that may have changed, she is still Wave, and will never prefer to be around a lot of people, and thus gives any excuse she can to get out of being around others--unless the others are her friends.Wave, not surprising due to her name, adores the ocean.Surfing is her passion but not many know of it because for some reason it embarrasses her.Not because she thinks its a bad thing to do,no,but it's Wave,so no one can really tell.
Caspian can somewhat get along well with Wave. With her somewhat antisocial behavior, Caspian doesn't see much of her - but when he does see her, he's always willing to lend a paw or hang out with her, if she's willing to do that with him.
dave. wrote:oh alrighty !! well, glancing over his form im thinking davey would be on... frienemy terms with him, and buttercup would try to look up to the other wolf. davey tends to be on the more self-indulged, attention-seeking and slightly-ignorant wolf. he generally probably wouldn't want to be around the other wolf for long.. and yet he respects how he can keep a cool face all the time. maybe hes even slightly envious of this ? and as for b-cup, well, to say the least would admire how casp can keep calm in most everything. though buttercup wouldnt want to go aboard the ship (irrational fear of drowning and just ?? the ocean is terrifying), he would definitely love to follow casp around and question him while hes on land.
Davey is definitely not Caspian's best buddy. Caspian doesn't like his stuck-up, egotistical ways, and really doesn't appreciate how ignorant he can be. Caspian does understand that while Davey might just be jealous of him, he can easily change his attitude to reflect that which he admires, and really doesn't get that he's unwilling to compromise on this. Ultimately, he doesn't hate Davey, but wouldn't really voluntarily choose to be around the RPW.
As for Buttercup, Caspian has a fondness for the young wolf. Caspian loves how the little one calls him "Casp," and really loves having him trot along, following the older, seafaring wolf. Even though Buttercup refuses to set a paw on Caspian's ship, Caspian does respect that decision and never forces the young one to follow.
shadow9119 wrote:Franklin always dreams big. She is never happy with small dreams, and is often called crazy because to others, many of her dreams seem impossible. However, she is always determined to achieve them, and won't let anyone stand in her way.
One of her biggest dreams is to be able to fly. She grew up with feathery markings all over her body, and it made her wonder if flight would ever be possible for her. For the past few years, she has been attempting to construct artificial wings. So far, she has had little success, but she just keeps trying.
Caspian loves Franklin's attitude, and her dreaming tendencies. While she's much younger than Caspian, he still likes hanging out with her and having a good time. Caspian is fully behind her hopes and dreams, and supports her in everything she does. She is a lot like Caspian was as a youngster, so he can understand her mindset and her love of all things related to aviation, so he does his best to support her in ways he was never supported. He figures that, even though his parents died and weren't there for him, he may be here to help someone else out, so he does his best to support all of his friends in whatever endeavors they may wish to partake in - even the more outlandish ideas, like Franklin's.
