name:
Senna Bloom
gender:
Female
personality:
Senna is quiet and calm most of the time, and a total introvert. She's not a people person, and avoids being social whenever possible. She always tries to be polite and spare people's feelings, though fails at it quite often. She also loves reading, and seems to prefer the fictional worlds of her books to the real world. She acts more social around her friends, in a way taking on their extrovertedness.
shadow's name:
Quill
art piece/story:
xxxxx"Senna! Senna! Senna! Senna! Senna!" squeals Quill, and she bounds down the stairs, "I found a secret passage!"
xxxxxI tuck a bookmark into my book and gently close it. "And this is more important than Karian saving the universe why?"
xxxxx"Because," she pauses, trying to think of a reason, "maybe the secret passage will lead to a secret room and the secret room will have books in it!" She finishes the sentence really fast, like she doesn't want me to hear how terrible of a reason it is.
xxxxx"Fine, I'll come," I say as I stand up from my chair, "But I won't be happy about it."
xxxxxI hear Quill yell "Yes you will!" from around the corner, and start walking after her. I don't really hate Quill's crazy expeditions, but the last three have been nothing but a strange pattern of wall or a room she didn't notice, and I'm getting a bit tired of them.
xxxxxAfter a short walk, we make it to a small room. Quill runs up to a small cabinet to the left of the door and says, "Here we are! Open the cabinet and look at the back!"
xxxxxI do so. "Um, Quill? There's nothing here."
xxxxx"See this spot of wood here?" she waves her paw at a mark in the wood, "It looks like a button!"
xxxxxI examine the spot more closely. It really doesn't look like a button. The spot isn't quite smooth, it bumps out from the wood a little, and it's a bit discolored, but it's still just wood.
xxxxxI gently press it, just to humor Quill. The back of the cabinet splits in half and folds away, revealing what appears to be an actual secret passage and a whole lot of dust.
xxxxx"I was right! I was right! I was right! I told you there was a secret passage, and did you believe me, no, of course not! But this time I was right!" yells Quill in excitement.
xxxxxQuill bounds into the tunnel, and of course I have no choice but to follow her. The passage is short, and we're soon in a room full of boxes and even more dust.
xxxxx"It looks like an attic," I say, and then sneeze. "Stupid dust," I mutter, "How is a doll even allergic to you?"
xxxxxBy the time I'm done mentally murdering the dust with an imaginary vacuum, Quill has already managed to open two boxes. The first appears to contain an old broken lamp. Not really interesting. I walk over to the second box, and look in it. Books! It's full of old, worn, books! I carefully begin taking the first one out, trying not to damage it, when something hits me in the head.
xxxxx"Quill!" I yell, "Careful!"
xxxxx"Sorry," she says, sounding like she actually is, "I thought it would look good on you."
xxxxxI look at what she threw at me. It looks like a crown of little wooden flowers, carefully hand-painted red and threaded onto a thin wire. I suppose it would be kind of pretty, if I liked that kind of thing. I place it on my head to humor Quill, and she awkwardly walks over to me, trying to carry an ornate hand mirror. I take it from her and look in it.
xxxxx"It's very pretty," I say, trying to find a way to spare Quill's feelings, "But I think it would look better like..." I place the crown around Quill's neck, like a necklace or collar, "...this!"
xxxxx"Gimme the mirror! I wanna see it!" Yells Quill, bouncing up and down to try and see into the mirror. I hold it in front of her, and she sighs. "It's beautiful."
xxxxx"Your welcome," I say, "Now, let me look at those books..."
