Author Note wrote:The following excerpts
are from a journal
kept by Jeanne's mother
after the accident.
Day One wrote:It... It was terrible... Seeing her lying there,
nothing... My little Kayleen... All she was doing
was practicing... Doing her part and doing what
she loved... Why.. how did this happen to her.. All
I remember was it was the coffee shop scene, and
Kay stood to say her line.. and then... that crash.
Rigging came down.. and in an instant, my baby girl
was gone... We're at the hospital as I write this, and
she's sound asleep beside me... I'm shaking.. and...
Scared... so... very.. sacred....
Day Five wrote:We've been trapped here for days now... I'm
beginning to worry if she'll ever wake up. Doctor
said she was gonna be fine, but I can't help but
stress... What if, I lose my baby.. What if I lose her
for letting her do what she loves to do... I couldn't
live with myself... Her sensors are going off!
I have to get the Doctor! What if she's waking up?!
-A break in the writing-
She's still with us! Her heart and mind are still as
young and wild as they used to be, and doctor says
she should be waking up in the near future! Finally,
some relief. Maybe I'll sleep tonight...
Day Eleven wrote:The doctor gave me the news today, and I still
refuse to accept it as the truth... Kayleen is, and
will be, until they find a way to break her mind
back into today's world, stuck as 'Jeanne Evelyn',
lead character of that god-forsaken play that caused
this tragedy... They tell me when the rigging made
contact with her skull, it triggered her sub conscious,
and the lines, set, outfits, everything surrounding her
made her the character, and she fully believes it now...
My worst fear come true... She doesn't remember me,
her friends... anyone... She's a secluded shell of her
former self... all because I let her pursue acting...
-The page is torn and crumbled, the ink smeared by
tears and the creasing, and very few words are legible-
Day Seven wrote:Kayleen woke up today, but she didn't recognize me...
She doesn't remember anything about the incident,
and she's not responding to her name... She keeps
asking for a 'Jim'. Her beloved, she called him, and
she calls herself Jeanne Evelyn. I can't help but
think that it's just her recovering from the trauma...
She will get better. I know she will... I can't lose
my baby girl... -A few tears speckle the page-
I just hope... I haven't lost her already...
I see you've taken interest in my business. What is it that
I can do for you? Steal some valuable jewels or hire a hit
man, of course I could do it myself but, your choice. Oh,
you don't need any of that? Well, okay.
Why don't I introduce myself?
My name is Esmeralda. Nice name huh? My mom gave it
to me. Anyways, she named me that because I was born
in May and the birthstone for May is an emerald. My mom
decided to add a little twist to it, ya know? , and decided to name me
Esmeralda.
First, and foremost, Esmeralda
dislikes it when others touch her
hair. It is one of her few but
important pet peeves. She believes
that it is disrespectful, none of their
business and she likes it just the
way it is. If someone were to come
up to Esmeralda and touch or try to 'fix'
her hair without her permission,
she would quickly turn around and
smack their hand. She values her
privacy and enjoys having her own
personal space. Esmeralda would also
not be fond of the action because
her hair should not be of their
interest. Now, if she asked if her
hair looked okay, she would be
completely fine if they offered to
fix it up abit but in the case in
which they do it randomly, she
would not appreciate it. Esmeralda
values everything she has in life,
including her hair. She is grateful
to have naturally curly/wavy hair
and likes it that way. Esmeralda
feels that it is just another thing
that makes her... unique and would
much rather have it stay that way.
You know those business guys who work for themselves and hire others to do the 'dirty work'? Well, Esmeralda's one of those, except... A female. Others can go to her for anything from needing a 'message delivered' to needing money to be collected from another kiamara. She has many people who she sends to complete the tasks and has always been on of the best in the business. When one first meets her, she instantly assumes that you are interested in her business so she will immediately ask,"How may I help you?" She takes her business very seriously so she may appear professional and quite sneaky. Her service has a 99.9% satisfactory rate and her prices depend on the importance of the task. Although she sends her private men, she will be more than happy to do the work herself. She is very familiar with self defense and is a master manipulator when appropriate. Esmeralda enjoys her business and feels as though it is a part of her so, if anything were to come in between of her and it… lets just say it wont be pretty.
Esmeralda has different colored eyes; one
blue and one green. One may believe that
they are simply used for sight but there is
so much more behind her bi colored eyes.
Her blue eye expresses her soft and
touching side while her green eye
expresses her ambitious and greedy side.
These two colors greatly sum up her
personality in a way that is easy to
understand why she is the way she is.

Esmeralda likes to the think that she is not
very picky but in reality, there are only a
few things that she likes.
Or rather, appreciates. She enjoys…
-Cool colors
-Coffee
-Birds
-Food
-Nice Weather
-Small Pups
-Astronomy
Esmeralda is a very… selective kiamara so
that means that she has various things that
she is not fond of such as …
-Hot weather
-Cold Weather
-Not being able to sleep
-Rude kiamaras
-Too nice kiamaras
-Bad Hygiene
-Cold Tea
When Esmeralda was merely a young pup, she would venture out and wander to the large, vast lake. When happiness elated her, she was there. When sadness filled her heart, she was there. Not knowing how to swim caused her to only dip her tiny paw into the shallow water and watch the ripples expand and disappear. The sounds and beauty of nature calmed her soul and allowed it to inspire her to do great things. One day, she noticed a family of birds, swimming in the lake. The two adolescent birds took charge into ensuring that the young ones did not stray far and get into trouble. She admired how the small ones swam so beautifully and so gracefully. Her ears flicked at the sound of approaching footsteps and the scent of fresh flowers filled her senses. She looked beside her and watched her mother sit down next to her. "Beautiful, huh?" Her mother asked and Esmeralda nodded. She directed her attention back to the white, swimming birds and could help but ask her mother what kind of bird they were. "Mute Swans", her mother replied with awe. "Why are they floating?" asked a curious Esmeralda. Her mother laughed lightly and corrected her,"They are swimming hun. Would you like to learn how to swim like them?". Esmeralda took no time to contemplate whether or not she should accept the opportunity but instead sprung up to her feet and nodded. Her mother smiled upon her and dive into the water. Esmeralda lowered her head to the water and searched for her mother when suddenly, she was pulled in lightly. Esmeralda took a deep breath and was soon submerged into the warm water. She was pushed back up into the surface and gasped for air. "You're a natural!" she heard her mother exclaim from a distance. "What?" Esmeralda asked, confused as to why her mother is so far from her when they're both in the lake. She looked down at the water and noticed that she was paddling. "I'm swimming!" Esmeralda exclaimed, amazed that she could swim like the swans. "Be careful, if you get too tired you could drown", her mother warned but Esmeralda was nowhere near to being tired. She was full of energy and happiness. She swam and swam with the swans for the rest of the day until it was finally time to go home, where she shared with everyone her experience. Today, Esmeralda swims whenever she has the chance and is admired for her length and gracefulness.
