Personality
Mica is very optimistic and loves to joke around with everybody. She is more of an introvert then extrovert, but doesn't mind hanging out with PKs. She loves to pull pranks on everybody and uses the skills her father taught her and Castalia which use trickery and deception to steal. Mica hides her insecurities with a smile. Instead of living in the past, she chose to live in the present, even thought there is no way she will ever for get it. Because of what happened to her and her sister, she never trusts anybody. Mica has a pet chameleon who hangs out in her head hair and often chills out on her head. His name is Charles but she calls him Charlie. Mica loves to leave people gifts of the small gemstones and cool rocks she finds while looking for Castalia. If she finds some that she things Castalia would like, she saves them to give to her once Mica finds Castalia.
I walked into the town I was exploring that week. It was dark, I had spent all day in the woods that were surrounding the small village. I was on my way into the place I had rented a cot in for the week. Around me were several other PKs going in for the night, as well as the hushed tones of mother telling their children to go to sleep and the giggles of tired voices. I looked up and thought of you. I missed the sound of your laugh, even if I only heard it during the simulations our horrible father put us through. I walked up to the door of the inn and opened it, when I walked in, the innkeeper had surprised me with a cupcake and a candle. At first I was confused, but then I understood.
“It’s my birthday today.” I said softly.
“It is, no?” said the Prism Keeper with a funny accent. “Make a wish upon this special night.” he said as he put the blue cupcake on the wooden table.
I looked around and saw a PK alone in the corner. She was sitting at the table across the room and her head was glumly resting on the tabletop.
“Who is that?” I said through a yawn. It had been a long day and I was tired. The Prism Keeper’s ears pricked up at the sound our hushed tones. Her fur was beautiful colors of every kind, going from red to purple from head to tail. She had black lines of circles of black on either side of her and the stars she had collected her black, too. Her horns were reflecting light back black as shadows as well.
“Oh. This is a very, uh, interesting case, see? She come in here in this morning and never leave, yes. So you see, she must be very lonely, hmm?” He said as he sat down next to me.
“Very lonely.” I said as I dipped a claw in the frosting and licked it off. “This is great as always, chef.” I said and thought about how being lonely felt like there was a monster following you everywhere you went that feeds on your longing for someone to be with you. I felt like reaching out, but that monster that was with me told me not to. I ignored it. “Hey.” I said as I walked over to the sad body of fluff.
“Hey.” she said glumly. You looked at me, with a look of defeated hope in your eyes. When I saw your eyes, I was startled, they were nearly black and you could barely tell the difference between the pupil and the color. Those black eyes were watering and looked like the tears were about to burst out.
“What’s up? My name is Mica” I said as I tore the cupcake in half and pushed the side with more frosting towards her.
“Th-thanks.” She said “I’m Minx. N-nice to meet you.”
You thrust out your paw and smiled. “Hello.” You said. I shook the warm paw and smiled back. This was the great beginnings of a new friendship.

══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════“What color is this?” our mom asked gently as she pointed to a red strawberry she had picked in the fields surrounding us.
“Red!” I said as I clapped my paws together and tumbled over her arms to reach the delicious red fruit.
“Good job!” said my mom as she gave me the tart fruit and tossed one to you, Castalia. You bit into it and laughed. It would be the last time I heard you laugh. Our mom ate one too and we all sat together as our father walked up to us with dread in his step. “What happened?” My mom asked and got up from our nap. She thought we were asleep, but we weren’t. I looked over to you and all you did was look at me with a look in your eyes that said shut up or else we will both be in trouble. I did as you said and pretended to be asleep. We had mastered the art of fake sleep. I slowed my breathing and relaxed my body. I closed my eyes, but not too tight. My paw, which was holding a strawberry went limp and the strawberry rolled off of it. I heard you do the same, but you were still scared, we both were afraid of our father. He had a nasty temper and we never knew if he would stop hitting walls and start to hit us. He whispered to our mother and we strained our ears to hear, just like the little eavesdroppers we were.
“He told me that if I don’t do it, he will kill all of you.” he said nervously. and wrang his tail in his paws.
“It’ll be ok.” said my mom reassuringly. “We will get through this.”
“No, we won’t! I have to kill him by tonight! The sun is already setting!” He yelled and dropped his paralyzed tail to the ground. He got up from sitting and walked furiously as his lifeless tail dragged behind him. I always hated that sound, the sound of claws clicking and his limp tail dragging behind him.
I heard the growl of another Prism Keeper close and all of us exept for you gasped.
“They are here.” Father said sullenly. “Girls, run. Your mother and I will take care of this.” I stayed still for a while but you grabbed the fur around my neck and pulled me up. I looked into your mismatched eyes and you looked into mine.
We ran. Fast, faster than I had ever dreamed of running, I heard my father yelling and a strange voice talking back calmly in replay. There was the sound of fighting and then it cut off abruptly. I tripped on a tree root but you quickly pulled me up. I looked into your eyes again and whispered, “I am scared.”
“Don’t be, I will protect you.” You replied and smiled. You were the best big sister ever. Then our father was suddenly in front of us. Lights were turned on and the trees around us vanished. I looked down and there were machines below us which we had been running on and many tubes and wires connected to various part of our heads and bellies. I looked over to the right and saw our father watching us and writing down data.
“Interesting.” He said in his cruel voice. I looked over at you and saw that you were looking down at the floor.
“You evil, lying, foul creature! You did it again! Stop drugging us and making us to do your stupid tests!” You yelled with fire in your voice, even though you were crying. “We were so close. So cloce to freedom. Again. How could I ever have believed it was real?” You whispered. “I am sorry. I will get us out of this, soon.” A couple of tears streamed down my face. and hit the machine under our paws.
“Ooh. Emotional distress? That’s a new one!” He said and laughed creepily. “And as for you, Castalia, you will be punished for speaking. I hate the sound of your whiny voice.” He said and walked to us. He motioned for us to take the equipment off. We did as we were told because we did not want to be beaten even more than we already were.
“SO. WHat shall it be for dinner, then? Fish? Birds? No you won’t get to eat because you did not run fast enough and you showed weakness in many way.” He said as his limp tail dragged behind him and he popped a frog into his mouth. I didn’t like frog but I would have killed to eat it. My stomach growled with hunger at the thought of eating and he looked at me. Dangit. That was a sign of weakness to him. He gestured for us to follow him and we did so. We walked into a darker room full of tools. He told us to sit and we did so. he chained our paws so we would not escape, but since he was old and going blind I whipped my tail in front of me and he chained that instead. I could not believe that worked. I easily and quietly pulled my tail from the chain. I looked over to you but all you showed me was a wink and your fantastic poker face. I noticed that he did not lock the door as he left to go get something else, probably small amounts of water and large amounts of hallucinogenic drugs.
“Go.” You whispered. “Go now.” Your eyes were frantically darting from me to the door.
“No. Not without you.” I pleaded as my eyes filled with tears.
“Please, don’t make this harder than it already is, Mica.” you said.
“I will come back for you.” I said as I lifted my bruised paw to take a step away.
“No, don’t come back. Don’t ever come back to this wretched place. Run now, while you still can.” You said as you shoved me with your shoulder. I ran out the door, sobbing quietly and right as I turned to look back, I heard the screams and yelling as you were punished for my escape.
I did as I was told for the last time that day. I ran and I never went back. I tried to find you, I asked around anywhere I wasn’t wanted for the bad deeds we were forced to do, but no one had seen you. Of course they hadn't seen you, you were the best thieve around, you were never caught. I tried to find my way back to come rescue you, but the drugs father forced down our throats worked. I looked in every cave and crevasse, every wood and spring. I looked and looked for the big sister I loved and missed.
