if anyone else does likewise.

that was the name he was born with.

maintaining a relationship with at the moment.
☽Personality☾
Reserved-Enigmatic-Splenetic-Dauntless-Diligent-Solitary
Emi is very reserved, and generally an unsocial piggle. He spends most his time in solitude or alongside Eda. He rarely makes friends, or even talks to anyone, and the ones he does make usually don't last very long. Though this does not mean he is rude or savage in any way, he simply does not have the attributes most other piggle would look for in a buddy. He needs his space more often then not, and they don't usually understand that and assume he is trying to ignore them, which is not the case. It is very difficult for him to grow close to someone, in fear that he will end up loosing them. So most of the time he just pushes people away or keep them at a distance. This can make him very lonesome at times, but he knows it's from his own doing, so quickly gets over it. Romance is not Emi's thing, even if he likes someone, which does not happen very often. He simply does not know how to flirt with another piggle. He is often difficult to interpret and his way of showing his emotions is not usually understood. He has a hard time letting go of the bad, so he can be very unforgiving at times. He gets angered very easily, though tries to stay calm since he tends to act without thinking while irked. It can bring him to do or say things he does not really mean. Emi has very few things that will frighten him, though those fears often consume him. He is careful and precise in the things he enjoys doing, and tends to be a perfectionist.Likes

☽Companion☾
Emi's best friend is a female snake by the name of Eda. Many others will see and think of her as simply some sort of odd pet, but she is much more then that to him. She has been with him ever since he could remember. They had first met when he was just barley a piglet, and were nearly inseparable. For around the first year, his parents would take her away and leave her in the woods, afraid she would end up hurting their baby. But she always came back, drawn to Emi's spiritual energy, though neither one of them knew that was the case at the time. When Emi's mother next found the snake beside her child, she asked her husband to take her further away, and so he did. It took her almost a week, but she was once again found by Emi and taken away again. This happened many times, but she was persist, and eventually they both gave in when they realized she wasn't there to harm him. Emi was surprisingly gentle with the creature, as she was with him. When Emi's parents where away, Eda acted as a sort of motherly figure, which may seem odd to some, but it was always just a way of life for him. She would keep him from doing dangerous things when he was young, and even defended off another snake that Emi was trying to play with, thinking it was another uncharacteristically nice creature like her. Eda is roughly the size of a fully grown boa constrictor with a similar pattern, so you can see what had his parents worried. If you cannot already tell, she is not like other snakes. Eda is highly intelligent for her species, and while her and Emi cannot communicate directly, they speak through a series of gestures, and can both understand each other for the most part. She got her name from Emi's mother, who would call the snake nothing other then Yoruba word for creature, and it just caught on. Even when the pair moved to an English speaking country, he still calls her by that name.
☽History☾
Emi had a pretty average childhood for a kid in his village. At first his
small family were shunned, but the native piggles quickly adjusted to
their presence and welcomed them as one of their own. Both his
mother and father had escaped from one of the labs that genetically
mutated piggles. But this group of scientists had gone corrupt,
pushing the boundaries of animal and beast. Though most of them
usually didn't survive the extensive procedures they were forced to
undergo, the ones who did were altered in unimaginable ways. Some
were more mild though, like Emi's parents. They were one of the first
to join the lab, so their testings weren't as bad. Their goal for them
was not so much to alter their appearance, but rather their abilities.
They wanted to create pigs with powers in order to sell them for large
bundles of cash. It did not go quite as they planned though, as most
only had minor powers that weren't much good. So they started trying
new tactics, one of which they took their most successful mutations
and bred them. Their first try with this were with Emi's parents. His
father could levitate small objects, and also see the apparitions of
spirits, but the scientists only knew of the first. His mother was able to
do small spells, but only she knew her full capabilities. She believed if
she didn't show the scientists her full powers, they wouldn't have as much
interest in her. The two had never even seen each other before this,
confined in their tiny cages, but were forced to bear a child anyways.
They got a break then, resting for a few months while they waited for the
new piglet to be born. She even got more food and care, as they wanted
the child to be healthy. They got lucky, and some good timing and placing
set them free. One of the other piggles the humans mutated had gotten far
stronger then they had expected, and went berserk. It busted out of it's
caged walls and and started destroying everything in sight that it could,
angered at the scientists for making him go though all those painful
processes. He broke Emi's mother and father's cage doors, along with a
few small sections of the building's wall. The two, along with a few other
piggles, escaped out of the small openings, and ran into a nearby forest.
The scientists and their hired guards were too large to fit through, and by
the time they had made it outside, their experiments had seemingly
disappeared.
The two piggles met up, and surprisingly liked each other. They decided to
travel across the country in search for a safe place to raise their child. After
only a few weeks they found a small village that allowed them to stay. All
the inhabitants had came from a home that did not have very good living
conditions, so they decided to make it on their own. Many of them were
born and raised there though. For the first month or so the natives would
ignore them, acting like they didn't even exist. Some started to warm up to
them, over time adjusting to them and by the time Emi was born, it was like
they had lived there their whole life. The village midwife helped tremendously
during his birth, and the whole procedure went relatively smoothly.
The couple kept him mostly within the walls of their small house, as there wasn't
much to do with a baby around the village. Most neighbors came to visit at one
time or another, and were astonished by his appearance. His glowing eyes,
wings, and odd tail were quite the hubbub, but they all came to accept him. After
all, his parents weren't very average either. When he reached the age of one,
that's when Eda started to come around, and everyone eventually adjusted to her
as well. As a young child Emi was very lively and loved playing with the village's
other piggles, though his off looks often scared them off. Though he didn't get
discouraged and loved making new friends.
For the next few years everything was normal, and nothing eventful really
happened. When he was around ten years old (in human years) he started to see
apparitions. At first he dismissed them as either a trick in the lighting, or simply
his eyes acting up. But then they started to get more vivid and frequent, and he
got scared. He never told his parents, afraid they would think he was crazy. Before
long he could clearly make out that they were spirits, but that just frightened him
even more. Eventually when one of them started to watch him, he told his mom.
Not knowing what else to do, she told him where they had come from and about her
and his father's powers. He was hysterical for a few days, not knowing how to
process all this new information. Before long he came to accept their past, along
with his new found abilities. Although he did not acquire his father's telekinesis, it
was him from where he got his spirit awareness. From his mother he got her skill in
spells, but much more powerful.

☽Language☾
Along with being fluent in English, Emi speaks Yoruba.
You can often hear him talk to himself or Eda in his native
language. Or if he's angry or frustrated at someone, he will
also use his native language to mutter under his breath.
☽About his voodoo☾
When most people think of voodoo, they picture those little dolls used to intentionally harm another being. But this is not what he does. Although he does sometimes use dolls, it is not in the way that you would first think. Voodoo dolls are more complicated than they’re usually portrayed. He does not need to make the doll look like the actual person he is targeting, but rather attach either something that was closely associated with them, or an actual photo of them with a pin. Though the pin is solely to attach that item not used as an instrument of pain like commonly mistaken of it. Other items are commonly added to the doll as well, depending on the purposes. His motives are solely benevolent and used to help rather then harm.
He rarely does this though, and uses his magic in other ways. He can sense, and often even see if a spirit or ghost is around. Although most are just curious as to why he knows of their presence, and simply watch him and not get close, there are those few who speak to him, or need help in one way or another. Often, he helps them 'cross over' to the other side. Although Emi
is not exactly sure what happens when that occurs, he knows it's for the better. He does not think they go to the christian belief of heaven, but something sorta similar. Sometimes he is successful in helping them, but often he cannot do enough.
On the other side of this, he can ask for spirits' help too. It is mostly only small things, but he always have to give something in return, and he has a grave reminder of that. Often it is only something small, like a basket of food. But depending on the circumstance, it has to be much more.
