Name;;
Ophelia
Reason For Name;;
If you know your Shakespeare, this name is bound to ring bells. Ophelia was the name of Hamlet's lover; her name means 'help' and 'serpentine' in Greek.
Element;;
For this gal I'd say water
Personality & History;;
Ophelia, or Phee for short, has always been a rather quiet and pleasant girl. Even growing up in a castle, she was never really spoiled. Which was fine with her. She had many friends, and didn't want them to treat her any differently just because she wore a tiara which signified royalty. "It's just an accessory!" Phee would always say, casting it aside whenever she felt like people were being so nice to her simply because of her status. "This shouldn't define me." Ophelia was always a smart and humble girl. As she grew up, the princess became more aware of her duties, and begrudgingly accepted that, yes, her role as princess did matter. She was always around her friends and loved ones, and was always offering her assistance whenever they needed her. As a growing princess, she learned it was her duty to be as kind and helpful as she could be, with no trouble. It was, in a sense, her preparing to one day take the throne as queen. She would be expected to listen to the people of her kingdom and make the best decisions for them, so why not practice by helping out those in need? For a princess, she could be thought of as very mature and responsible, as well as well refined and elegant. She never acted out, not even when she was angry, nor did she ever raise her voice to those older than her. The princess was raised to respect her authority figures, and always did just that. All in all, she was a very polite and good girl, that is, up until the death of her beloved parents. Nothing could have prepared her for such events, and the girl found herself constantly weeping and acting out of character. She'd scream, slam doors, become rather violent in midst of her sadness. I guess you could say after having been so good for so long, the princess just kind of snapped with the loss of her parents. All she had now was her beloved boyfriend Hamlet, who too was having his own issues. She'd always offered him comfort, even when she was rather distraught herself. Sadly, though, with the death of his own father, Hamlet snapped himself, no longer being of any comfort to Phee. He became violent himself, always lashing out at his girlfriend who wanted to do nothing more than help him. Of course, madness and madness never go well together. Grief only breeds more problems, and the two have been forced to separate. Since the breakup, Ophelia has had a most troublesome time trying to recover from everything that has happened. She mostly stays locked away in her room, making dark paintings of most gruesome things. She rarely sleeps anymore, and when she does, she's sure to keep her crown on. It's the only thing that makes her feel like her life is still normal. In fact, some days she'll stroll through the castle, greeting air as if it were another being, and 'helping' with tasks her parents supposdely assigned her. In her mind, she's simply living out her life and trying to keep things together. Reality is, she's lost it entirely. Our princess has gone insane. Now what about the kingdom? Well, it's pretty much fallen to pieces. After the princess went insane, the whole kingdom was in anarchy, demanding answers, and demanding a new leader, a new, fit leader. Of course, they couldn't do anything. She was next in line, it was just a matter of her coming of age to take over. But her citizens have had it with her, and now they're chanting off with her head.

What Now?;;
So now the princess stands alone in her castle. All of the staff has left. She has no one to look out for her in her crumbling state of madness. She continues about her daily routine without a hitch, though. Ophelia wakes up around noon every day, brushes out her tangled hair (tiara still on, she tends to brush around it), and proceeds to find her "parents" and carry out whatever tasks they assign her. It's always simple. Check on the gardens, make sure the staff is keeping up with all of the tedious castle chorses, and of course, look after he beloved kingdom. She hears nothing but cheers and cries of joy, when reality is they're screaming out death threats and attempting to break down the castle barricades her staff was so kind to create for her protection, just before they fled the kingdom. Ophelia has no idea what danger she's in as she continues strolling about the gloomy, unkempt castle. Everything is in complete disarray, but through her crazy eyes, all looks as normal as ever. Will our beloved princess ever return, or is she doomed to meet a most gruesome ending at the hands of her own subjects? One can only hope she will come to her senses or that somebody, anybody will save her.
