Despite all that he can take things seriously and has no problem when grasping the severity of situations. Though cheerful he is not an optimist and understands that, while he likes to joke around, it isn't always the time or place for light jokes. He has an excellent poker face though can't keep it up for long periods of time.

Maelo developed Alexithymia, a disability to express feelings through words, at a very young age because he was often lost in his own head. Being an orphan and having no parents to be the role model for him, he became extremely quiet and introverted. At one point his parents just abandoned him as a pup without explanation.

Since then Maelo started to live in a orphanage with others his age, but they only made him feel more unwanted. He could never find a way to talk to anyone and was often picked on. This gave him the fear of interacting with others and resulted in spending most of his time alone.

One Christmas day, he woke with a unusual item on his bed. It was a wrapped present. Thinking it was just another pair of socks donated at for the orphans that live there he wasn't all that excited. but he soon found out it was a brand new shiny MP3.

He downloaded lots of songs and slowly developed a passion for music. It was his escape after a bad day and he could easily drift off into his own imagination. He only felt like he had a place when he was listening to music. He was inspired to make his own songs but with his disability, Maelo doubted he will ever be able to do anything. After Days of frustrating attempts, he found it easier and he fell in love with the art. Since finding music he became a happier individual and dreams of making his own songs when he gets old enough.
