and the winner is...

Charity loves to hand out Valentines to everybody, because she believes that even the smallest things can do a world of good. It makes her happy to see others happy. Each and every one of her Valentines cards are unique. She makes them herself with her tiny paws, scissors, glue, colorful paper, and whatever things she can find to write with, from markers to pencils.

As a young Newton,
Charity would always look forward to Valentine's Day.
There were cards and gifts that little
Newtons would give to each other as a token of
friendship. Unfortunately, Charity never
received any Valentines herself, but, in her positive attitude,
she never stopped looking forward to the day every year.
As years went by, she grew out of her
childhood ideas about Valentine's Day and began to grow more
aware of the romantic side of it.
Despite her attempts to keep an optimistic outlook on the holiday
, it started to weigh heavily on her
mind. She wasn't sure if she even wanted to remain single anymore,
seeing all the other Newtons around her
with their Valentines, exchanging gifts,
on that special day.
One Valentine's Day, Charity received a
little note wrapped with small ribbons,
and a pretty rose bow attached on the front.
She picked up the bow, placing it in her hair and,
looking down into the pond, smiled at her reflection.

"Dear Charity,
I hope this makes you smile, because you're cute just the way you are."

From that day on, Charity decided that, instead of waiting for a reason, she would give herself and others that reason by becoming the one who would do the giving instead of receiving.
While she never learned of who her mysterious Valentine was, Charity made it her little promise to smile as long as she wears the bow in her hair.
