Nickname Meaning:
Beautiful Sunbeam (Indonesian)

Gender:
Female

Talent:
Dawndrell "Kirana" Xia has a special talent - she helps pegasi ponies learn how to fly. Now, most pegasi have mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, or other family members to help them out...but there are always the few that don't have any family, or the even fewer whose families don't have time or don't wish to teach them. This is where Dawndrell steps in. She loves children, and absolutely loves to help a young filly or colt succeed in finally lifting off of the ground. In their later years, Dawndrell often helps them train for flying races or school teams - she, while being an earth pony, knows nearly everything there is to know about flying.

Favorite Food:
French Fries

Favorite Flower:

History:

Dawndrell sighed, staring up at the sky. Her friends were flying, soaring through the air in great loop-de-loops, squealing with joy as they tried out their new wings.

Two hours ago, Dawndrell had set out with her best friend, Moriarty - she called him Mo. Mo was a pegasus, and Dawndrell was s simple earth pony. Even with the difference of equine, Mo and Dawndrell became fast friends when they met at the school for very young fillies and colts. Now that they were older, Mo had to practice his flying, and Dawndrell had to practice earth pony things - which she loathed.
"I want to fly," she murmured, staring up into the sun-lit sky. "I want to soar along with the rest of my friends." Dawndrell didn't have any earth pony or unicorn friends - oddly, all of her friends were pegasi.

Still staring up at the sky, Dawndrell felt a wave of sadness overcome her. "Mo!" she called up to the heavens. "Can you lift me up so I can feel what it's like to fly?"
"Sorry!" Mo called down. "Can't lift more than a frog!"
Dawndrell sighed, tears welling up in her eyes. Suddenly, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She looked up into the eyes of an older pegasus pony who was smiling warmly at her. "I can take you up, if you'd like," he offered.
Dawndrell's eyes lit up. "REALLY?!" she screeched, jumping up and down. "Thank you! Thank you so much!"
"Not a problem," the stallion said, chuckling as he lifted up Dawndrell with his front hooves. "We'll go slow at first, okay?"
Dawndrell couldn't answer, for she was shocked at the wonderful feeling of being lifted off the ground. Her eyes widened to take in the beauty of the clouds and sky. The wind gently brushed her blonde hair out of her eyes, and she smelled the scent of rain. All she could do was smile.

Higher and higher they climbed, Dawndrell squealing every time she saw something new. "Oh, look over there! Oh, and over there, too!" Her tiny filly body squirming in the gasp of the pegasus carrying her.
The pegasus was huffing and puffing by the time he stopped ascending. "Dawndrell," he panted out, "I don't think I can take you higher than this."
"This is perfect!" she crowed with delight, waving her hooves around in tiny circles with a smile on her face.
"Good. 'Cause I'm not going farther."
"Wow! The ponies on the ground look like grasshoppers!"
He smiled. "Yeah, from up here they do."

After an hour of lazily swooping in circles, the pegasus had grown tired. "Hey, Dawndrell, I'm going to have to take you down now."
"Aw!" she moaned, sadness overcoming her entire being as her body visibly sagged.
"Hey, at least you got to have fun for a little bit, right?"
"Yeah," she said, perking up a bit and smiling. "Thanks for taking me up here."
"You're welcome."

During their descent, a wind storm kicked up. The pegasus did all he could to fly smoothly against it, but ended up shouting over the wind. "Dawndrell! This is going to be a bumpy ride, but I promise we'll get through it! Okay?"
"Okay!" Dawndrell yelled back, strangely calm in the windy weather.
The rest of the descent was rocky and turbulent. Half-way to the ground, Dawndrell suddenly felt different. "Everything okay?"
No response met her ears.
She frowned, noticing the sudden silence that enveloped her. The wind still rushed past her face, so she knew she was still descending...
"I'm falling," she said, staring down at the clouds rushing past her tiny frame. Looking up, she saw the pegasus frantically racing downwards to catch her...but she knew he was too heavy to fall at the same rate as she. "It's okay," she murmured, looking up at the pegasus. "I'm not scared."

Suddenly, Dawndrell had stopped falling. She blinked, observing the white fluffy mass that surrounded her entire body. She frowned, reaching out a hoof to tenderly caress the material. "Clouds?" she asked, looking at the material she was stuck in.
"How odd," a voice said.
Dawndrell stiffened up, fear entering her body for the first time in weeks. "W-w-w-who's there?"
"My name is Solaris."
"Why can't I see you?"
"I'm in this cloud, like you." A blindingly bright light appeared less than a foot away from Dawndrell's face. "See me better now?"
"I can't see anything!" she squeaked, covering her eyes with her front hooves.
"Oops, sorry," he said, dimming in brightness only slightly.
Dawndrell blinked, staring at the orb of light hovering in front of her. "You saved me, didn't you?"
"Yes, I did."
"How can I ever thank you?" Dawndrell asked, smiling warmly at the creature before her.
"How about we make a bargain?"
"What kind of bargain?"

Minutes later, Dawndrell floated down to the ground. The pegasus who'd dropped her raced over to inspect her well-being. After confirming that she was, in fact, okay, he apologized and raced off to inform her parents, who were at the local hospital, waiting for their baby to be brought in.
Mo saw Dawndrell second, and raced over to hug her. He smiled as he let go, but that smile was quickly replaced by a frown of confusion. "What's that on your tail, Dawndrell?"
Dawndrell smiled. "This is my partner. His name is Solaris. He saved me, and in return, I let him become my tail."
"Your tail is...alive?"
"Yep!" Dawndrell said, smiling. "He doesn't talk much, though."
"Why does he look like a sun? I thought you fell into a cloud..."
"He is a sun. His name means "from the sun," and he's a tiny sun who likes to give warmth and happiness to others. He loves to help others, just like me, and together, we'll make a great team!"
"When will he leave you?"
"Never. But I don't mind," Dawndrell said, looking down at her now-cloudy tail, the demon resting gently on a section of it. "He's my new friend. I don't really want to leave him all alone, like he was for centuries before meeting me."
"Why didn't he just try to make friends with somebody else?" Mo asked, a suspicious look forming on his face.
"He said that he can't try to do it - the friends have to come to him. That's the rules that were put into place by whoever is his boss."
"Oh."
Dawndrell smiled. "Don't think this changes anything, Mo. You're still my best friend."
Mo smiled, all traces of suspicion gone. "Thanks, Dawndrell."
"You're welcome." Glancing down at her demon, she smiled. "C'mon, Solaris! Let's show these fillies and colts how to fly!"
Solaris smiled as he grew brighter and brighter, the light enveloping Dawndrell's entire body. When the light dimmed, the fillies and colts stood astonished.
Dawndrell, the most normal earth pony you'd ever meet, had wings made of sunlight. She was flying, hovering in the sky as she waited for the other fillies and colts to join her in the cool, calm air. The storm had passed.

Dawndrell got her cutie mark not long after her meeting her demon. She was helping a particularly troubled filly try to lift off from standing on a cloud. Dawndrell smiled, pushing the filly off and watching her soar through the sky, her graceful body easily adapting to the gentle breeze that was blowing through the air.
A chill suddenly enveloped Dawndrell's body, which in itself was odd - she was never cold nor hot, due to her link with her demon. She shivered, feeling cold for only a moment. She glanced back at her demon to see how he was doing, and instead saw her new cutie mark: a pair of wings and a cloud. Dawndrell, caught up in the happiness of the moment, opened her wings made of light, lifting off from the plush cloud and soaring through the sky. She smiled. "I knew I was meant to fly."

Do you wonder why you have to
Feel the things that hurt you?
If there's a God who loves you,
Where is He now?

Or maybe there are things you can't see,
And all those things are happening,
To bring a better ending.
Someday, somehow you'll see; you'll see.

My friend, you know how this all ends,
And you know where you're going;
You just don't know how you'll get there,
So say a prayer!

And hold on,
'Cause there's good for those who love God!
But life is not a snapshot!
It might take a little time, but you'll see the bigger picture!

Would you dare, would you dare to believe
That you still have a reason to sing?
'Cause the pain that you've been feeling,
It can't compare to the joy that's coming!

So hold on, you gotta wait for the light!
Press on and just fight the good fight!
'Cause the pain that you've been feeling,
It's just the dark before the morning!

Once you feel the weight of glory,
All your pain will fade to memory.

Would you dare, would you dare to believe
That you still have a reason to sing?
'Cause the pain that you've been feeling,
It can't compare to the joy that's coming!

Come on, you gotta wait for the light,
Press on and just fight the good fight!
'Cause the pain that you've been feeling,
It's just the hurt before the healing!

Oh, the pain that you've been feeling,
It's just the dark before the morning!

I’m dealing with extensive medical issues and some medical testing to try to figure out said issues. If I am scarce on here, that's why.

**ZombieHugs** but you can call me Zombie ;)

----------

: Name :
Ethereal Winds (So her name basically means Winds of Heaven, a name that she hates strongly dislikes because she thinks it is too pretty for her personality, but she tries to accept it nevertheless because it was chosen by her mother, Dandelion Lace, who has passed away). Some ponies call her Bora, though, which is the name of a cold, northerly wind (Of course by calling her this they don't mean that she always has a chip on her shoulder and will bite your head off if you cross her :? )

----------

: Talent :
Though she's an Earth Pony, she has the dreams of a Pegasus. She's always wanted to walk upon the clouds, to spread her wings and fly, but she's stuck, bound to the ground like every other Earth Pony. Her cutie mark represents her ambition to fly amongst the clouds and her bond and love of her demon.

----------

: Personality :
Eleanor Roosevelt wrote:The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

Bora is a strong, outspoken, determined, and often times a stubborn pony, she'll never listen when rules (And gravity) get in the way of her dreams. Some consider her a bit obnoxious and loud, but she doesn't care about those fools for no normal boundaries can conquer a dream wished upon a shooting star. Most say that she needs to, "Get her head out of the clouds and stop dreaming an impossible dream" which often hurts her feelings, but she refuses to show it because she knows they'll think they've defeated her.

Jesse Jackson wrote:If you fall behind, run faster. Never give up, never surrender, and rise up against the odds.

(In this story Bora is a filly)

I stare down the mountain, looking at the jagged slopes and the foreboding earth so many feet below, but I shall not let that worry me for today I will be the first Earth pony to spread her wings and fly! No pony can taunt and tease me here, no pony can predict my failure, for I am alone and it is just me and the everlasting sky.
A dove glides by my face, it's gentle wing beats barely audible, I will fly like that dove. I will be elegant. I will be beautiful. I will be myself as I was truly meant to be.
I lean over the edge, reaching one of my hooves out towards the open sky, tilting forward ever so slowly.
"Ethereal?!" I hear a voice shout, alarmed.
I look behind me and see my father, Aerial Ace, dressed in his Pegasus guard uniform, his eyes wild in fear.
"It's okay, Daddy," I whisper, my voice only loud enough for his ears, "This is my decision."
My father's face contorts with fear, "Ethereal Winds! There is NO magic in this world that will make you fly! Each pony has his blessings, from flying to magic!"
I look at him sadly, "What about me, Daddy? I have no talent worthy of the brave Earth Ponies. I'm a blank flank and unless I try, I'll be like this forever."
And then I lean backwards, the weight leaving my body.
"No!" My father screams and he runs forward, but I'm already gone.
I'm weightless, I'm falling, but I'm not flying.
I look below me and see a small cloud, glowing in the sun light. No panic shall consume me in this moment, for I will land on this cloud and prove everypony was wrong about me and that their is nothing that dreams can't conquer.
I close my eyes and then all I feel is still.
I open my eyes carefully and feel soft, ticklish wisps around my body. I stand up and look around, I'M WALKING ON A CLOUD! I jump up and down, laughing, when I hear a little shriek.
"Who's there?" I ask, curious but never afraid, and then a little sun sticks its head carefully out of the clouds.
"Oh hi," I say, leaning my muzzle close to the little sun so that I can look into it's pretty golden eyes.
It peeps and then moves an inch away from me.
I smile, "I won't hurt you, we're both alone on this cloud, friend." I lean my nose in to touch the head of the little sun and then it squeals in excitement and that's when I can't remember.

*****
I wake up on the ground beneath the mountain. I stand up and wonder if my encounter with the sun was just a dream and it didn't save me, but then wouldn't I be dead...? I look behind me and that's when I see my tail.
It's a long cloud with the little sun curled up amongst the feathery wisps.
I smile and then I realize how happy I am with myself and that I'm special too. I feel a warmness spread through my entire body and then my flank glows brightly. I squint against the light, is this magic or am I dying? The light fades quickly and in its spot is... My cutie mark! A cloud with beautiful blue wings. I guess I earned my wings after all, but not in the way I imagined.

Soleil is really shy with every single pony but Ethereal, fearing that they might wish harm upon him for a reason that Ethereal can't figure out because Soleil hasn't spoken a word to her ever, though from research in books and by asking around, she has figured out that all Demon's have a way of communication, usually telepathically. So Ethereal still waits for his first words, patiently (Not one of Ethereal's most famous qualities), though she's been waiting for many years.

"Come, together, we can soar."

Username ;; Trollish
Name ;; Aurora
Behind the Name ;; Aurora is the Roman Goddess of the sunrise, I felt it more than fitting for a girl with a sun demon.
Gender ;; Female
Personality ;; Aurora's almost apathetic to most things, generally just not caring at all. She's very tender hearted, however she doesn't show that trait often. Aurora's empathic to most, however absolutely despises sympathy. She perceives most emotions to be weak and will therefor hide them from others or burry them- however when you know her well enough for her to open up to you she's very fun loving and kind. She can be snarky or sarcastic as well, though she's generally very laid back and genuine. Her personality is akin to a could, drifting wherever the breeze takes it.
Demon's Name ;; Apollo
Behind the Name ;; Apollo is the name of the Greek God of the sun. I named the demon this because, well, he's the sun! I find the name not only fitting but a bit humorous.
Demon's Gender ;; The demon doesn't have a specific gender, obviously. However it's generally perceived to be male.
Demon's Personality ;; Apollo is generally very hotheaded and stubborn- his answer is always the right one. He's also flamboyant and doesn't think twice before flaunting his power. Apollo is self absorbed in that he generally thinks the world revolves around him and only him, making everyone else virtually irrelevant. The only living thing he seems to care about would be Aurora, to whom he's very light-hearted and warm, he's generally very defensive and even a bit possessive of her, getting jealous when she spends a lot of time with anyone other than him. He also perceives himself to be immensely powerful, which he is, however sometimes he gets himself into trouble for his over-confidence.
Talent ;; Aurora's talent is flight. How is this possible, you may ask? She is indeed an earth pony- however her demon, Apollo, grants her the gift of flight. She can materialize wings made of clouds and fly like a pegasus. She never earned her talent before, seeing as before she met Apollo she had no magic whatsoever- she knows that had she never met him she'd never have gotten her cutiemark for "flight", something her demon made possible.
History ;;
Birth
Aurora's birth was an odd one, her parents hadn't even meant to have a child. Her mother's name was Daffodil Blossom, a pleasant and easy-going gardener pony, and her father was an ambitious business unicorn named Robber Baron. Baron had no intentions of raising a young filly, and quickly abandoned Daffodil. Daffodil never blamed Aurora for this, however, and still loved her dearly- however Aurora couldn't look at her mother in the same light as most ponies. Whenever Baron did anything Daffodil just rolled over and took it, she was such a horrid pushover. Aurora took a vow to never be like her horribly sad, miserable mother- who despite her love and affection towards Aurora was still despised by the only thing she had left.

Fillyhood
When Aurora started going to school, things really started to get heated. The other fillies and colts were rude and snarky towards her for her lack of a father. She hated them with a passion, growing to despise most of pony kind- rationalizing they were all just greedy and selfish. She liked to think that they just teased her because they didn't understand her pain, however something else inside her told her it was for another, darker reason. She brushed it off and went about her life, trying to be positive- however in a world where you're completely alone, that's a rather tall order.

Teen Years
In her teen years life just got worse. There was more to do, not enough time. Her classmates were worse than ever and her patience was wearing thin. Soon she couldn't take it anymore. Her mother Daffodil sent her off to school that morning, with a pleasant wave and a kind "I love you", however Aurora never did go. She strayed over to another section of the building. Out in the yard behind the school she wasted the time thinking and taking a breath. When her mother found out about her truancy, of course she did nothing. With no consequences, of course Aurora would simply skip again and again- never having to deal with the consequences.

Cutiemark
At this time everypony else already their cutiemarks. Aurora was angsty about getting hers too, as she couldn't think about one single thing in which she excelled. She was decent at most things, however academically she was plummeting into failure. She couldn't make ponies laugh or smile, she wasn't a friend of anyone- or a lover, or a daughter… What future is there for me? Aurora thought to herself, I can't do anything at all...

Cross Roads
It was at that moment that Aurora noticed she was no longer outside her school building, but rather in a black abysmal void. There were what appeared to be two white outlines of doors not that far from her. One that read, in fine cursive, "Delusion" and the other in rugged etchings, "Reality". She stood, perplexed, at the doorway for a moment or two before standing between them, unable to decide. She turned, her haunches facing the wall, lifted her legs and landed a hard kick. She felt it- the hollow properties of another exit behind her. She kicked once more, then again- with one more hard kick the wall shattered to reveal a third door. This one was white, and in casual black handwriting was written, "Congatulations!" Hesitantly she stepped inside...

Confrontation
Upon entering the room she noticed a large, towering phoenix of flame. It's eyes were brilliant and blazing like the sun- at first she was blinded by it's glory, having to cover her eyes.
"W-who are you?!" She choked out.
"My name is Apollo, and I am here to offer you a contract."
"A contract..?" Aurora's ears flattened, she took a careful step back. "W-what do you mean…?"
"Give me shelter in your existence, give me energy- and I shall give you what you've always wanted..." The beast's tone was low and melodic, graceful yet booming. The voice of a leader, Aurora thought, someone powerful...
"Oh? And what is that?"
"Power. Prowess. You'll be better than average, you'll be phenominal. I'll give you wings, I'll give you strength."
"And why would you do that?" She narrowed her eyes suspiciously.
"Because my head is weary." Apollo lowered his mighty phoenix's head down to eye level with the small pony. "I need a place to rest, my power is weaker now than what it once was."
"Why me…?"
"You caught my attention." Apollo's wings unfurled before her, "Because you too, want to fly and be great."

Contract
After a moment, she extended a hoof. "Fine, you've got yourself a deal."
"Good..." Apollo cracked a wicked grin, and in a flash of blinding light he was gone.
When Aurora awoke she had been graced with a fluffy cloud-like tail and necklace, graceful white markings occupied her legs and back- though most notably upon her flank rested a delicate cloud marking with two small blue wings inside.
"A-A cutiemark?!" She spat, amazed and intrigued. "H-how did you?" She took a second glance at her tail- floating above it was a small sun ornament, which, upon closer examination, had a face on it!
"Oh? That?" The sun spoke, "Do not fret my child, it is a symbol of our bond and your newfound strength."
"Who're you?! What're you doing on my tail?"
"We've been over this, Aurora. My name is Apollo, and you are now my humble host."
"Is this what you meant by a contract?" Aurora glared at the small sun, this is certainly not what she was expecting!
"Indeed." The sun smiled up at her, a smug grin on it's little glowing face. "But there's something you simply must try."
"Oh?" Aurora sighed, "And what might that be?"
"Go up to that roof top there." Though the small sun couldn't point, for obvious reasons, she knew where he meant.
"Why…?"
"Just do it, child."
So she did, and upon reaching the top she heard further instruction- "Jump."
"What?! I'll fall! I might die!"
"Have faith in me," Apollo's brilliant phoenix's voice bellowed. "And do as I say."
With one bold leap of faith Aurora rocketed into the sky- wings of clouds materializing upon her back as she flew into the air.
"Woah!" She gasped, taking off.
"I knew you'd like it." Apollo grinned, "This is our bond. This is our strength. But there is so much more I must show you..."

☁ ═════════════════════════ ☁

It was a Thursday, or maybe it was Tuesday Storm Sky can't quite remember seeing as it was 300 years ago, that Storm Sky first met Helios. For the first time in longer than she could remember the sky was clear and the sun touched the rolling sea below, making it shine. Storm Sky was standing in the center of the ship that had been the only house she had ever know. The ship's crew was bustling around her busily getting on with the days chores and although she had been living on this ship ever since she was a little girl she'd never really been able to pick up on the rhythm. Storm Sky even now clearly remembers that there was something off about that day. It was very peaceful, which was strange for her world. You see her parents, for she had never considered herself one, were pirates. Pirates, while quite rare in today's age, were not an uncommon sight back then. They were, in fact, a very real danger that ponies all around had to look out for when traveling by sea. The Stormy Seas, her parent's ship was the most feared in all of the seas and it was all due, unfortunately, to her. Storm Sky's talent was something that her parents were very proud of her for, for all the wrong reasons. Storm's talent talent allowed her to create storm clouds, clouds in general but storm clouds were the only ones important to her parents. Whenever they acquired a target all Storm Sky needed to do was create a couple of violent storm clouds and the opponents gold was as good as theirs. Storm hated it.

You know, you don't have to do it.

The voice startled Storm Sky so much she actually squeaked and jumped. Her fellow crew members sent strange stares her way and then quickly continued their daily work. Storm Shy searched the sky for the source of the voice. Eventually her eyes landed on a small orb that was difficult to see in the bright light of day. Storm Sky was a very smart pony, still is a very smart pony, seeing as she spent most of her days cooped up reading. She'd read about this particular instance before, she knew about demons. What surprised her the most about this situation was that one had taken an interest in her. Storm had always been under the impression that they went for bold, impressive ponies and Storm was just, well, Storm.

I could help you, you know.

To this day Storm still wishes she had said yes when Helios had first offered his aide. Part of the reason she declined was because she was scared, but that wasn't the only reason. The other reason, she could admit to herself, was that she still felt she owed her parents. She was young and stupid and her old world was the only world she had ever known. She hadn't belonged there, but Storm Sky had been sure she wouldn't belong anywhere else.

So she said no.

And her parents continued to use her skill to milk others of their gold and Storm Sky went along with it. That is she did until her parents died.

After their death a new captain took over and he was not as friendly towards her as her parents had been. He locked her away and only allowed her to come out when he needed her talents. Helios returned just when she was about to give up and bonded with her, giving her the strength to fight back against her captors and escape. She has been grateful to him every since.

I Had an actual story typed up but it was way too long so I just summarized it in a briefer history c:
