~Flite is a sweet loyal and caring little dog. When she builds a bond with a human it is nearly unbreakable. She will go anywhere and do anything with that person no matter what. She's very gentle and quiet, trust worthy with children and other animals aswell as trust worthy to stay close without a leash. Flite is very energetic and loves to spend bonding time with others, she loves the rodeo because there are so many different scents and smell and new people to meet. Currently she is still recovering from the trauma she undertook by loosing her master. This trematic life experience has made her quite shy and anti social. She's also a bit nervous and unsure of herself but with the right home and plenty of love she Gouldake a full recovery and be the same fun loving pup she once was.

Backstory:
Flite leaned further out of the truck window, the fresh air doused her seances with its cool licks. This was the life. She glanced over her shoulder at the cowboy hat hidden face of her master. his wrangler shirt was torn in the shoulder and covered in grit, but he wore a smile that made her wag her speckled tail. They were on their way back to the rodeo after a quick bite to eat at a local restaurant. Flite stepped back into the truck and sat down in the passengers seat to observe the passing crowds of people. for the last two years of her life this is how she had spent her life. Trailering around with her master to rodeos. he was a bull rider but he loved her almost as much as he loved the hobby that would never love him back.

the truck came to a stop and she followed him out his door and onto the lightly frosted grass of the rodeo grounds. She followed close on his heals till they reached the stocks were he prepared to get on his next bull. Flite sat quietly, watching intently. She could hear the bull snorting and bellaring within the shoot. it made her hackles stand on end, this one seemed different then the others. she whined and barked tying to warn her master. But he had already slid onto the beasts back and tied his and to its belly strap. Flite tried to jump up onto the platform and stop him, but the gate flew open and the bull surged forward. a cloud of dust hit her face and stung her eyes. they watered so badly that she could not see what was happening, but the sounds that assaulted her ears terrified her.

There was a terrible snorting, the thundering of the bull's terrible hoof falls, the crowd went from cheering to screaming. there were shouts all around her and Flite was finally able to clear the grit from her eyes. beyond the cold mettle bars of the coral she could see the bull, it was still bucking, but her master wasn't on his back, she could see the limp form of him being dragged through the dirt by his secured hand. Flite began to bark feverishly. trying to craw through the bars of the panels. Strong hands grabbed her and pulled her back, clutching her gingerly around the midsection. She wired around and gave the owner of the hands a dirty look. It was Marvin, a man that had traveled with her master before. "Its alright girl, They'll get him off of that thing" he said and patted her gently.

By now they had gotten him off the bull, an ambulance with flashing lights pulled up and he was haled into it. Flite was bitterly confused, why hadn't they let her see him first. let her lick the dirt and sweat off his sun kissed face. The second the Ambulance pulled out Flite lurched forward, tearing free of Marvin's embrace. How dare they try and take him away from her. She pelted after the ambulance. the hard packed dirt road cut into her paw pads but she didn't stop. she followed it till her lungs burned and her muscles ached; till the ambulance that had been nothing but a speck on the horizon disappeared over the horizon.

Her legs were shaking and her tongue lolled from the corner of her mouth. She glanced around, she was in a run down old town, most of the buildings were abandoned and falling apart. Something inside Flite told her that her master was gone; not just away from her but truly gone. she found a quiet corner in one of the old buildings to lay down. Here she waited, hoping that her truck would pull up. That old silver chevy with the crooked bumper. But it never did.

Flite didn't know how long she stayed in that little town, but when the kind people from serenity shelter came to get her. she was very shy, forgetting how to act around people. but she was happy that they had come, maybe it was time to start fresh. She would never forget her first master and how he would sing along with the songs on the radio with a mock souther drawl but she wanted someone else to sit next to in the front seat of a truck and follow around where ever they went. She was ready for a new life with a new master.

A little poem: These two stanzas are from 'For Howard' By Trevor Hardwick I thought they suited the kind of dog i envision her being.

Remember how you used to lie,
Beneath the truck with me?

I’d be cussin’ bustin’ knuckles,
And you’d be sound asleep.

Remember how you used to hear,
My truck come up the street?

I’d pull into the drive,
And you’d be bouncin’ off your feet.

    Username ;
      My username is The Jinxed Fox, but most people just call me Jinxed c:

    Name ;
      I chose the name Hickory for this girl. It's something that I personally love as a name. I always thought it is a pretty name, and I have been reserving the name for a good reason. I think that this dog is suits the name perfectly.

    Gender ;
      Female.

    Age ;
      Vets say she is about four years old.

    Personality ;
      Hickory is a loyal and trusting dog. She feels safe in the care of humans, despite her past experiences, and will often sleep as close to the nearest human companion she can find. She has no fears of humans, but can be a little jumpy around large vehicles or loud noises. As well as loyal, Hickory is persistent and playful. She is very picky, and only likes squeaky toys. She dislikes loud machinery, storms, bigger dogs, cars and loud noises in general. Her favourite toy is this squeaky rabbit. She was found with it in her mouth, and rescuers didn't have the heart to take it from her.

    Story ;
      Snow drifted down from the dark sky overhead. Hickory poked her nose out from the cardboard box, which she had chosen as her home and had been living in for the past few months. With a heavy sigh, she placed her head back onto her paws. It was almost Christmas - and her first Christmas alone. The cold was the worst part, her senses were dulled by the thick coating of damp, white snow. She was always on high alert, for other dogs often strolled through the neighbourhood in search of an easy meal. There was a time, only a few short months ago, where Hickory was curled up by the fire in a loving home with a young girl and her parents. Back when her fur was soft and clean, her stomach was full, and her body wasn't riddled with scars and marks of defensive wounds.
      However, it all changed when another baby came along. Hickory would often pick up scents from her human companions. Stress, concern, frustration. It didn't take long for phrases such as 'good girl' and 'come inside, Hickory' to change to 'stupid dog' and 'you're staying outside tonight!'.
      Hickory couldn't understand the change in heart. She often tried to get closer to the humans, but multiple kicks to the ribs taught her that it was best to stay away. It was one cold night when Hickory decided it was best to leave. She was sitting outside on the doorstep, the wind battering at her back. She was hungry - this being the third night in a row that she hadn't been given any food. The streets seemed more inviting than this cold house. Her decision was easy.
      Now, months later, she was curled up in this cardboard box and in no better condition. The storm was going to be fierce tonight, and Hickory stretched her stiff legs. She stood up, her paws sinking into the thick snow. She began
      a slow walk through the snow, jumping and hopping every other step in order to find a better place to spend the night. A bright beam of light split through the darkness, and the loud roar of a car engine. Hickory jumped into action, picking up the pace and practically leaping through the snow to get out of the car's path. However, the car skidded to a halt and Hickory could hear one of the doors opening. Voices were coming closer, and two humans came into view. They were bundled up in big coats.
      One of them knelt down beside Hickory, gently placing out a hand. Hickory took a hesitant sniff, picking up the scent of warmth and kindness. A collar was slipped around her neck, and she was lead gently to the car. Hickory began to panic slightly, but calmed down when the human lifted her gently into the back of the car. The car was warm and blankets were piled up in one corner. She curled up on the floor of the car and soon fell asleep to the rocking motion of the car.
      She was awoken when the two humans opened the back of the car. The collar was slipped around her neck again, and Hickory followed obediently, pleased to have a purpose for a change. She entered the big building ahead and padded into her cage without a struggle. The scent of other dogs was overwhelming, but she soon discarded it when one of the humans began filling a bowl with food. Hickory gratefully scoffed down the bowl of food.
      Hickory looked around her cage, peering into the one next to her. Another dog was sleeping there soundly, curled up on the bed below it.
      Maybe she wouldn't have to spend this Christmas alone after all.

    ❝ An introduction...
    тσ тнє ƒσям αη∂ тнє ∂σg.
    _____________________

    Well hi there, I am Dog-Trainer. I decided to go with a bit of an 'out there' form to see if anything really, well, happens.
    Okay, well, I have tried out for many SS dogs, and all of them have pretty much failed for me. But something about this dog, maybe her design, made me WANT to try hard to get her.

    Now, the dog herself is called Echo. She is a 3-year-old mutt, but her colouring seems to be that of a border collie, so maybe that's it - she is probably a border collie mutt.
    Only a few months back, in 2013 - October to be exact, this young lady stepped into my heart. You can read more of that below.

    ❝ So...
    ωнαт ησω?
    ___________

    Now, we have the 'impress me'' part of the form. I have put together a couple of things - the art (at the top) and a paragraph or so on why I want her.

    So, why DO I want her? Well, here's the reason-

    Magic. In other words, something a called love. I love this female. Her design, her breed, the way she seems to ooze personality.
    I love the way her backstory isn't tragic or boring, but it did something deep in my soul to make me go wow. So I love her, but what else? I'd love to do more art of her and I'd like to introduce her to Cotton Wood Horse Ranch, where she can befriend my horses and appear in their stories.
    I would love to simply know that I have a character, or a 'pet' in some ways, with such and exquisite design and such personality.
i'm pretty sure the last time i played here was in 2015. insane to see how it's changed. feel free to ask for my pets lol

Dancing on the Rainbow
~
It had been years since I lost her, but the pain was still fresh. Seeing butterflies and clovers, spotted with blossoms only made it worse. I thought about how she'd be doing. I never thought how much I could miss a little guinea pig
But perhaps it was just part of the process.
She was shy like me
Loved food as much as I did
That black, brown, and white tortie coat was always kept in good shape, and dark eyes would stare at me if I had a treat for her
I could not keep myself from walking
As if running would numb the pain
Before I knew it, I was at a shelter
I looked inside, to settle the temptation to see an innocent face again, just like Cinnamon's before she passed
I felt a pang when I saw the dog
Not just sadness at seeing the beautiful thing in the shelter; but rather a pain that hit close to home
Black, brown, and white fur, with liquid brown eyes stared at me once again
I wanted to deny it, maybe run away again. But I knew my time of mourning my lost pet could be over. I needed a new friend, and the lovely dog needed one too. It would do me good to have another sweet bit of company around for those lonely, soundless nights. Without even the watery click of Cinnamon's water bottle that used to keep me awake at night
Cinnamon would be alright at the rainbow bridge. She'd have new friends, so why not make a new friend myself?
Perhaps I could find happiness with that sweet canine.
Without realizing it, the name Cinnamon was again in my mind. But not in a painful way. That pelt, those eyes, and the freckled body reminded me of both my lost best friend and the lovely spice itself.
Before I knew it, I was going inside the shelter, with only one thought on my mind

I dedicate this story to my lost best friend Cinnamon. She was a great little piggie, and she will always be in my heart. This dog reminded me of her in a way, and I felt like I needed her

Impress Me!
When I was born the world was very bright...I could see through my eyelids and the bright world outside. the first thing I smelled was my mother's milky, and warm scent. I loved mama.. very much. I started to crawl to mum.. but some giant hand picked me up in a harsh way. Though I couldn't hear at the time I could feel the vibrations on my ears..."John! This is a mutt! It's mother must have bred with another boy mutt. Instead of that Purebred! She must have a different father than the others! Put her in a box put it on the road.. some dumbbell can have it!" They did so.. until a machine came up and brought me with them. But it wasn't the pound..it was a place where all the unwanted dogs came and where tested on in horrible ways.. They raised me for the next year. They barely fed me.. but I survived. They started to experiment on me...I-it was horrible...until I finally broke out. I ran as fast as I could and for as long as I could. Until a pack of dogs found me . They were my friends. I cared for them. In particular a single male my age. I fell in love with him.. and he loved me back. So a few years after I was heavy with puppies. In a winter storm we needed to travel. I started to fall behind but the dog I loved was there.. his name was Leaf. Because he liked to roll around in leaves. I fell into the drifts of snow in exhaustion. But leaf was there until he was taken away by a human. I called for him. but there was only the sound of the freezing wind. Until this kind place found me and nursed me back to health.
