Name:
Tremula, named for part of the scietific name of the tree she prefers.
Gender:
Female
Personality:
Tremula is a loner at heart, and independent by nature. She prefers her own company over others, and finds comfort in solitude. Among other Fern Puffs, she is very quiet, and only speaks when spoken directly to. She is friendly, but distant from the others. It is noted that she is very kind, and will let wandering or lost Fern Puffs stay temporarily at her tree until they are ready to leave, provided that they forage for themselves.
What tree does she live in?
Quaking Aspen (aka. Poppler)
It is noted that she doesn't live within the tree itself, or on the branches due to their thinness. She instead lives in a very small hollow located underneath the tree roots.
Write a story of how she discovered the secret cave:
Tremula sniffed the air, noting the metallic quality to the scent that indicated a huge storm coming her way. She shivered slightly, the scent of the storm unnerved her. I should try and find a cave. She thought, gently pulling the red sash she had found a little tighter around her neck. I don't think I want to shelter in a nearby tree for this storm.
With that thought, Tremula padded off quickly, searching left and right for a small cave that would be large enough to shelter her until the storm passed. For nearly a mile she searched, until she found a medium-sized cave located nearby a grove of her signature trees. This cave will do for the night.
Tremula padded inside, her rough paw pads scraping slightly on the stone floor as she explored the smallish space. She looked between two rocks out of curiosity, and found a small pile of shimmering polished blue gems laying on the floor along with a note written in the forest runes that all animals were taught as younglings
"Whoever finds these gems may keep them, and use them as they wish."
Tremula read the note, and smiled gently. She had found some lovely gems! How wonderful! With a chuckle, she looked at the gems, and sorted them from smallest to largest, counting them. With a small frown, she rearranged them into a gradient that went from small to large, then back to small; noticing that the gems had tiny little silver-colored hooks set into the back of them. Taking a gem between her teeth, she hooked the largest gem in the center of her sash. Eventually, she had hooked all the little gems onto her red cloth, and smiled down at the glittering gems.
A crack of lightning and the wild boom of thunder told Tremula that the storm had finally arrived, and she curled up on the floor, happy for her long fur that would help her keep warm. With a self-satisfied hum, she lay her head sown, and fell asleep soon after.
