Well, i would watch him for a bit with wonder then crawl down to his size like someone would do gaining a cats trust i would let him sniff my hand and become used to how i smell then leave him alone for a while not wanting to say 'Your mine' yet then i would go back after a little while, it he would be used to me enough hopefuly i would be able to gain his trust

How will you gain this kit's trust?;; I will lie down and allow him to see me as a friend. Once he gets closer, I'd slowly extend my hand and let him sniff it. If he backs away, I would wait until he starts coming closer. When he lets me pet him I'd pull out a treat from my pocket and hold it out, allowing him to eat it. Then I would continue petting and playing with him until he feels comfortable enough with me, then I would take him home.

How will you gain this kit's trust?;; Each and every day, I would sit down and read a book near him (Fault in our stars), and pretend to ignore him. After some time I would bring fruit as well. I would do this for some time then offer him some. Then I would continue this until he excepts the fruit. Then if he began to trust me more, I would hold out my hand, and if he didn't back away, I would pat him. I would be patient on the outside, but really I would be like a hyper-active Chihuahua on the inside.

How will you gain this kit's trust?;; I'd probably watch over him to begin with. I'd observe how he behaved - whether he was shy, a hungry, food monster, whether he's friendly and social. Depending on how he is, I'd act accordingly.
Such as, if he was a friendly and social Kit, I'd approach him, talk to him and maybe if he becomes hyper, I'll play with him. If he was shy, I'd stay at a distance where I think he'll feel safe, and talk to him too, to let him understand that I'm not going to hurt him. If he was a food monster, I'd bring him some food everyday, changing the type of food - like, spaghetti one day, chicken the next - just so I know his likes and dislikes first. That way I'd get to know a little more about him.

To just say it briefly, I think the best way to gain his trust would be being patient with the Kit and observe him a little. Get to know him bit by bit, and let him familiarise himself with me. That way, we'd create and strengthen our bond - by learning about each other.

Mirroring
A funny psychological method to getting people or animals to feel comfortable around you.
It's all about mirroring their actions without them noticing... It wasn't very effective though since I can't float around and I don't have a tail so amusement is my next go to move and I got him to at least notice me... It took allot more than that though and i decided to try the "path to the heart is through the stomach" theory. A large piece of steak was successful since the orphaned kit never tasted meat before that moment and decided that he loves it.

The key to anyone becoming your friend is that you can never force them. The best way for someone to like you is to be what they want to see, yourself, and give them time to get used to that. ^^ Henceforth, below is a short "one-shot" of what my meeting with this baby MWK would be like. Thunderstarstorm, or Nari, has given me permission to use her MWK as both part of the story and as an adoptive father for the young'un as well as the use of herself in the story..

I entered the nursery for the Kits with my best friend Nari, falling into step beside her. Giggling over some private joke, I rested my hand on her MilkyWay Kit's back. Spirit Wisp, or just Spirit, looked up at me, glaring. I pulled my hand away, poking my tongue out at him childishly. "Come on, Spirit." Nari chided, laughing. "If you are gonna be an adoptive father, you've got to have a better disposition than that!"

Spirit just glared. "You do realise that I never agreed to this?" He floated up beside us. "I wouldn't be surprised if the kid you want to get doesn't even want to come home because of me." I tapped his muzzle, effectively silencing him. Grinning at him, I folded my arms against my chest, putting on the 'tough and scary' act.

"Spirirt, if you are the cause of why no little Kit wants to come home with me, you are going to have a lot of pain and agony on your paws." He cast his eyes in my direction, before darting behind Nari. I faintly heard him mutter something about 'disturbing scary lady freak' under his breath. I laughed, pushing open the door for the nursery.

"So...what's your owner like?"

"Oy, don't call her my owner!" Wisp snapped at the younger kit, narrowing his blue eyes at the tiny creature and resisting the urge to cuff him over the ears, "It's more like we peacefully coexist and she feeds me lots of yummy stuff. But...she's pretty cool I guess. Totally crazy, and completly obsessed with adorable things and fantasy stories, but nice."

The young kit stared up at him, incredulous. "If she doesn't own you, then what are you?"

Spirit glared at him. "I am the greatest Milky Way Kit in all the lands and should never been put up to the task of being a father. I am simply not going to spend my time on someone that probably spends half their time sending everyone to death with their excrutiatingly painful ways!"

Eri giggled. Smothering the laugh with one paw, the young kit barely had time to recompose himself before Spirit flailed around in exasperation. "I rest my case!"

I approached the young kit, offering my hand to Eri as he approached timidly. With a grin of delight, he crawled into my offered hands, smiling up at me. I blinked once, twice, unsure of what had just happened. "Are you sure you want to come home with me?" I asked, somewhat nervously. Behind me, Nari giggled and I sent her a glare, and soon it was her turn to retreat behind the now floating Spirit. He rolled his eyes and I turned my attention back to Eri.

"Yes, I'm sure!" He chirped. "You seem really nice. Although no-one can replace Momma and Papa, Spirit would be a pretty awesome replacement." Spirit flicked his tail, his ego suddenly inflated ten-fold. "Also," at this point Eri lowered his voice, giggling slightly, "he's kinda cute when he's mad." It turns out however, that the other Milky Way kit had better hearing than he was given credit for.
