L'orielle on an Adventure
“Just keep flying!” L'oreille thought to herself. “Maybe it will lose interest if I just keep flying.” She started to pant as she ran out of breath, a huge creature she'd never seen before right at her tail. L'oreille darted back and forth inbetween the trees, hoping to confuse the creature. A loud, low growl errupted behind her, making her fly faster. Adrenaline pumped through L'oreille's veins and helped her slowly get away from the monster. “I'm... almost... out.... of... reach...” L'oreille whispered between breaths. She was just about away from the beast when her wing got tangled in a small vine. She struggled against the vine as the creature got closer at incredible speed. The monsters big, scaly feet pounded loudly against the ground, his large, sharp claws digging into the ground and pushing dirt up behind him. His big scaly body made him look like a slow and lazy creature but he was obviosly not. His head had big horns that looked like they could easily skewer L'orielle. “Come on you stubborn vine.” L'oreille said. The monster was only feet away when finally, “Snap!” the vine broke. L'orielle took off as fast as she could as the creature swiped it's paws at her. She just barely missed his paws and started to fly upwards. “Does that thing have wings?” She thought to herself. She had gotten fairly far away from the monster when she heard something behind her, the opening of anceint wings. She looked behind her at the beast as it lifted off the ground. She sped up and flew above the trees. “I'm almost there, just a little bit further.” She thought as the familiar field of her home came into veiw. “He won't be able to fit into my home.” She thought. L'orielle dove down nose first into the field and into the safty of her home.
L'oreille closed the book and sat it beside her. "That was really exciting! I can't wait to read the next chapter!"
(Because it's cute)
