Name : Arrón ; Bringer of light
Gender: Male
Personality: Arrón is a quiet Cavidae. One would describe him as non sentimental. He would not waste words with others. He'd always been a loner with select companions. Upon further spending time with him, they would find Arrón was actually a trustworthy, hardy being. He had a canny ability to see the good and bad in others; their light in their darkness and vice versa. He is a calm, rational being with optimism beneath his quiet facade. He does not speak often because he believes actions speak louder than words. Confident, calm and quiet, this cavidae is increasingly intelligent but not without his own flaws. His own light is murky, bringing him to question who he is and strive to find his value in his companionship with others. Though this is hard in itself since he initially does not prefer to speak.
History: As a young Cavidae, Arrón had a sense of adventure. This notoriously got him in trouble with his parents but none of their attempts would squash his love for exploring the dark and unknown. He'd once involved himself with another Cavidae, bringing her with him into the caves he wandered into. While she'd voiced her concerns, tiptoeing over every ledge and drop; Arrón brashly bounded in, glowing eyes full of mirth. Eventually his friend would come to enjoy it, he promised himself. She would see the beauty in the mystery. She did not. Unlike Arrón who was equipped with his luminous optics, she could not see inches before herself and startled. Out of his excitement, he had been unaware as she toppled over and injured herself until she'd failed to reply once Arrón asked for her thoughts.
Alarmed, Arrón swiftly wandered over--only to see an imprint of her body in the ground and follow the trail. Another Cavidae happened to be exploring, much to Arrón's relief. He'd managed to save Arrón's friend, earning him a grateful response from Arrón. However this character seemed, shady, to say the least. Rather than focus on that doubt, Arrón chose to be grateful that he'd managed to save them. Arrón would come to regret that when the Cavidae took her while Arrón returned to the cave to retrieve a gem he'd found in her honor.
Many nights went by that Arrón attempted to hunt the Cavidae down and take his friend back--only to return to his pack with the solemn news. It was soon made clear to Arrón, his friend had returned but had not, been herself. Shamed by his disgrace, Arrón kept to himself, unable to bring himself to speak or glance to his friend he once knew. From here, Arrón steadily withdrew, blaming himself for her change and growing quieter and quieter. Eventually he abandoned his pack, seeking to go alone. A promise made to himself, Arrón swore to see the light and dark of others. He'd been warned about that shady Cavidae but denied his instinct; to his regret.
Left on his own, Arrón steadily grew into a confident Cavidae. He fed himself and wandered the darkness by himself. Still, he wishes for companionship to honor her memory--perhaps prove to himself that he is truly changed.
(I'm unsure if he's taken or not but if he isn't, this is my entry \ o /)
