Species: Earth Pony
Personality: Esmeralda greatly cherishes all of the friendships in her life, and wishes there were more people who cared. She has had many dreams including being the Princess, a spy, ninja, dictator, superhero, witch, and magician. She is typically very sweet. Esmeralda usually keeps to herself around ponies she doesn't know very well, so being a smaller pony for her age as well as quieter she is often unnoticed in larger crowds of ponies she doesn't know.
Ever since running into a bad crowd during most of her schooling, she unintentionally picked up the occasional habit of resorting to meanness in certain situations (from this she discovered that she rather enjoys having "power" and "authority" over others).
History: She has a good, kind family. They all love each other, and try to help each other. Although, at times, even when Esmeralda was young, her family has had trouble being supportive of her dreams, thinking they are ridiculous and outlandish as well as completely unrealistic.
Unfortunately, when Esmeralda was younger she ran into a hard crowd of peers. They would tend to be quite mean and rude. She always tried to be strong an not let it get to her but she couldn't help being hurt (as anyone would be if they were bullied in such a way). On occasion, Esmeralda resorts to similar meanness which is very surprising to those who think they know her.
Talent: Esmeralda doesn't actually quite have her cutie mark yet. Due to her family being critical of her dreams she was discouraged from pursuing them. However, she always had to comeback to them because they were really all she had. She tried to explore them when her family wasn't looking, every chance she got because they just fascinated her! (I'm pretty sure she will get a magic talent or something soon. Yes, I know she is an earth pony...it will be special and slightly complicated. Not to mention unique!)
