Herolite peeked his head around the desk lamp. The young dragon had been hiding in the books all morning, and had finally decided to reveal himself. "Hey Hero." I said, scratching the little animal behind his ears. "How are you today?" The little dragon whirred in reply, sending his small tail flicking. The small leaves made their soothing "ssshhhh ssshhhh ssshhhh..." Sound and I relaxed, leaning back in my desk chair. "So little guy, you ready for another day at the library?" I asked. The teacup dragon shook his head up and down, placing himself his planting pot. Hero looked just like a bonsai. He liked his pot filled with rich soil, so he could sit and watch the customers go by. Some bought books, some rented. Hero loved them all the same. He often got pets and small treats as people came and went. Hero loves his library as much as his owner. When the library closes, we head up above the library, where our room is. Hero climbs under the blankets, and snuggles. This is our average work day..... Our beautiful life.
