Cider- for obvious apple-related reasons ^^

.:Personality:.
Cider is a trickster. He is vain and arrogant. But, he has a good heart. Cider grew up being complemented constantly on his grace, beauty, and wit; this formed him into the kind of person who thinks very high of himself, and everything he does as well. However, although he does enjoy pranking others, outwitting them with his charms and knowledge (and wit, of course), he does have a good heart. Cider never intentionally harms people's feelings or physical selves. Cider's pranks are always in good fun, although he does occasionally cross the line. No, the issue with Cider is his vanity. He has lost many friends due to this, and sees this as a fault within himself. Cider quietly resents his naturally ingrained sense of worth; he blames this, rather than his lack of self control and censoring, for his lost friends. Ironically, this is why the problem of his vanity could never be fixed; he goes about it in a completely vain way! "Oh, it's not my fault! But that one side of me, I just can't control it!" Cider would say. Or, perhaps," But it isn't my fault for being so, quote on quote, vain! I was blessed with beauty and wit, raised with complements, and what? Now you tell me to be silent? I must share these gifts, or so many had called them before now," would be a more in character response.

.:Short story:.
The apple blossoms had started to fall by the time Cider crawled out from a knot in the tree. It was an hour before sunset, the golden rays already turning a dusty orange when the dragon emerged. He smiled to himself, prepared for his final flight of the day. It was like Cider to only venture from his tree during this time- the beautiful array of colors blended with him, shielding him from predator's view, if only momentarily. The small dragon stretched, taking in a gust of air, and started to walk. Cider padded down the large branch in front of him, moving at a carefree and quick pace, towards the end. His tail swished from side to side to help keep balance, not that the skilled and vain little dragon needed any help. He had reached the end, looked up at the setting sun, and jumped. It wasn't anything dramatic or terrifying, rather, a daily occurrence with still performed with the same sense of wonder. Although vain, Cider did appreciate the ability to fly; if anything, Cider looked at how skilled his flying was and added it to the list of great attributes he apparently possessed. He flapped his small wings, creating a steady uplift, and flew above the tree, far into the flaming sky. 'I have time,' Cider thought to himself when spotting a small fruit bush below him. Cider flew down at a leisurely pace, almost floating down it seemed, and landed on the grass. The bush was full of glistening red strawberries, the domesticated variety. Of course, Cider ate one on the spot. Cider would be lucky to find more strawberries like this anytime soon, thus Cider made a plan to carry two of the strawberries home. This is a feat destined for failure, such a small dragon could not fly properly with those giant strawberries! But, being the vain dragon he was, Cider thought himself strong enough to accomplish this. (Now, I will back track to the location of this strawberry bush- it was in front of a house) And so, the little dragon gathered his strength and plucked the two strawberries off of the bush. Cider took a labored breath and flapped, reaching remarkably good heights for a weighed down dragon. A sudden gust of wind took him off guard, not a problem if he wasn't carrying two strawberries half his size, and sent him spiraling down onto the house's porch. Here, a young woman was having a brew of her favorite tea(Strawberry Misaki) when the little dragon plopped into her tea-cup. He dropped the strawberries, one having plopped into the tea alongside Cider, the other having fallen into the young woman's lap, and popped his head up from inside the tea-cup's delicious waters. He looked straight at the girl, she looking straight at him, and smiled. She offered a finger, of which he kindly grabbed hold of, and lifted him out. This is the day Cider met the human, Drea.

Apple's Story

Postby FateStoryteller » Mon Feb 11, 2013 7:40 am

Short story starring this dragon (Maximum 500 words)

Folletta skipped through the apple orchard, grinning from ear to ear: she was in heaven! It had been too long since she had been near trees and green things.
Folletta slowed her step to enjoy this moment even more and, without thinking about it, reached out to feel the rough bark of a nearby tree. What her hand landed on was the soft skin of a creature!
Folletta jerked her hand back and turned her head to examine the spot her hand had been. Nothing was there now but bark, however her sharp eye caught the minuscule movement of something higher up.
Lifting her eyes upward, Folletta found herself eye to eye with a tiny dragon. The creature was tense, obviously just waiting for the slightest movement to make her scurry away; Folletta stayed very still.
Its pastel pink eyes glittered in the shade of the apple blossoms and its tail twitched slightly, jostling its little blossom-like growths that perfectly matched the delicate little flowers that surrounded it. The tiny creature was so well camouflaged that Folletta thanked the gods she had caught a glimpse of it before it could melt into its surroundings. She was surprised, though, that the little thing didn't run off now.
She was even more startled when it suddenly jumped from the branch, fluttering its bird-like wings, and landed on her head. Folletta flinched but didn't jump, even as it started doing something with her hair, tugging here and there. Finally, it climbed down to her shoulder, making funny little chirping noises as it fiddled with the holes in her sleeves and then it got particularly distracted with the button that kept her cloak together.
Now Folletta couldn't help but giggle slightly, even though she was sure that once she made any sudden movements the beast would be off. But no, instead it gave a little hissing sound, continuing to play with the button. It did get startled when suddenly a voice cut through the quiet orchard.
"Hey, Bird, what 'cha got there?"
The little beast squeaked and took off; right into one of Folletta's pockets. Folletta, not wasting any time, turned to Cal with a finger to her lips, shushing him. Taking the hint, but look more curious than ever, Cal silently stepped closer and took a quick glance into her open pocket. He leaned back and Folletta could see the expression of confusion on his face.
"Well aren't you favored by the gods." he whispered, shrugging and looking slightly jealous.
"Only until she flies off." Folletta returned, ever so gently stroking the pocket, "Until then, I think I'll call her Apple."
She stopped the motion of her hand a moment as she thought she felt the little dragon quivering with fear but after a moment a grin spread across her face: it wasn't slow enough for a fearful tremble. This was the vibration of a purring cat. Folletta took it as a good omen and continued on through the orchard.

I am Fantasi, nice to meet you. Call me Fanta if you wish c:

    Dragons Name:

this beautiful Teacup Dragon would be named Aurelie. This is the name of a girl in a book I've read. She was French, and was feisty with a big heart. Aurelie sounds pretty and elegant, as I imagine this TCD.

    Gender:

    Aurelie would be a lass.

    Personality:

this gal is friendly and spunky, but a bit shy to people she hasn't met. She has a good sense of humor and could make you laugh easily. A kind heart and a bright spirit, she will help anything that is in need, be it a ladybug or a human like us. She likes quite a few things. She loves tea, any kind will do. A bit silly that she is a teacup Dragon and loves it, hmm? She also loves flowers and soft things, shiny and smooth objects also. In fact, Aurelie lives beneath the roots of a tree, which is decorated in bright glass pieces.

Dragons Name:
Appleseed.

Gender:
Female.

Personality:
Colorful personality, bouncing agility, curious and adventurous.

Short story starring this dragon (Maximum 500 words):
In the crook of a small peaceful clearing amongst the forest stood a glamorous apple tree. The small little crab apples bounced in harmony with the gentle stir of the branches. A swift white body clings to the branches carefully, skillfully swinging to grab one of the sweet juicy fruits. Its claws grab the apple with a reward winning leap, then the little creature lands professionally on another branch. Her little tail grips the branch, knocking a little white flower to the ground as she does so. Her name is Appleseed, a curious and adventurous little dragon. Her feathery wings spread out across her tiny little body, furthering her balance atop the tree. However, she would rather much climb the tree than fly. It is so much more fun rather than using her beautiful yet strong wings to glide to the trees upper branches. She nibbled at the fruit, her claws dripping with the sticky delicious liquid of the bleeding apple. She sneezed as a drop clung to her small fragile looking snout, then she shook herself and leapt towards the ground below. Last second, her wings spread out in a beautiful array of white and purple feathers. She gave a few little flutters, then she landed in another tree, where her home was. It was large woodpecker’s nest, long since abandoned by its previous host. Stuffed inside for comfort and warmth was a large variety of stings, grass, fur, and moss made into a comfortable nest. She snuggled down, stuffing her nose between her front paws, curling up into a small little ball that looked somewhat like a snowball. She fell asleep, dreaming sweetly of the many flowers of the apple tree, as well as the little live giving fruits that grew on it.
