Name of Shionnix:
Blitz
Gender:
Male
Personality:
Blitz is a quiet Shionnix. His favorite activities in live are hunting and flying in the night sky, blending in with the stars, becoming part of the night. And although he is quiet, by insulting him, you've pretty much accepted a fight to the death: Blitz's favorite way to solve things. When it comes to flight, he loves to stretch himself to the limit, often endangering himself with tricks, dives and flips, many of which nearly caused him to fall below the clouds. And knowing how curious he is, maybe someday him will be the first Shionnix to look just beyond the clouds. . .
Story:
I stood in a row of Shionnixes: my brothers and sisters. My parents were going to teach us to fly! They stood in front of us, going over the basics of flapping. "Now when you fly, you must always stay above the clouds. Going below them means your certain death. Now, continue your flapping. Up, down! Up, down! Up, down!" I didn't understand this. I knew my father wanted our wings to be warmed up, but we'd been flapping for five minutes! It was ridiculous. But if this is what it took to be an amazing flyer, I was ready. "Now," my mother said, "you will take your first flight!" My sisters, brothers and I stopped our flapping to watch. Both my parents took a running start and took to the air, ready to catch us if our attemps to fly were unsuccessful. My father gave us an expecting look that told us," get going!" I shyly stepped forward, and my siblings followed close behind me. We could see down, off the side of the island. I swallow. It felt like there was a ball of ice in my stomach. I thought back to my first flapping leason, how eager I was to fly, and began flapping my wings. I thought I had been ready for this a month ago, but I was wrong. Now... now I was ready.
I jumped. I could feel the air beneath my wings. I tumbled through the air. I admit, I was scared. But I righted myself with my tail and began flapping. Then I soared. And I looked up, to see the proud faces of my parents, the disbelief on the faces of my siblings, and the bright blue sky above me. I was where I belonged.
