Nespark.
It's really a random name that I grabbed out of thin air. I was pondering what to name, and suddenly, 'Nespark!' popped into my head. And so that's what I decided to name him. All the name is is 'Nes' combined with 'park' and it is pronounced 'Nesp-ark.' For all I know, it could mean something in another language, but it probably doesn't. I actually really like the name, and I think it fits this sharky boy. When I thought of the name, I was already considering a few others, Sea Salt, Seawave, and Sai. But none really seemed to fit. Then I thought of Nespark, and I knew that's what I would name him. I just love this guy so much, I wanted to give him the perfect name, and, in my mind, Nespark is perfect for him. He was really fun to pick out a name for, and I love picking out names for Runes and other creatures. Picking out the name is usually the funnest part of the form for me, and I hope you like the name Nespark as much as I like it. Usually I pick out simple names, like Sparrow or Gemstone and such. But I also like made up names. They are fun to say and make up, and when I thought of Nespark, it just seemed to fit this guy.

Shy.
Nespark is a shy Rune. He does not like meeting other people and Runes, and prefers to stay quiet and keep to himself, gliding peacefully along the bottom of the river, and occasionally, creeks. He is not at all very friendly or social, and prefers the company of fish and seaweed instead of other people and Runes.
Calm.
Nespark is a calm Rune. Never in a panic, never too energetic, simply calm and easy going. He does not panic... well, unless it's a life or death situation. Nespark calmly hunts, calmly sleeps, calmly swims, and does basically everything calmly. If you were to say he were a energetic Rune who is easily sent into panic, you would be laying. Nespark is simply a very calm Rune.
A hunter.
Nespark loves to hunt. To him, hunting is everything. He loves to wait in seaweed, and then, with a thrash of his tail, he will lung forward and snag the fish in his jaws, leaving only a trail of bubbles behind. He has many different hunting techniques. He will wait in seaweed then lung forward, when he is feeling lazy he will stay perfectly still, mouth open, hoping a fish will swim into his mouth, and he will also simply chase the fish until he catches up to it. He will also eat crayfish, crabs, and other water dwelling creatures, but fish is his favorite.
Kind.
Nespark is a kind Rune deep down. He may be a hunter, but luckily for the baby raccoon that fell into the river, Nespark only likes seafood. Nespark helped the baby raccoon out of the river and then watched it scampered away. A few weeks later, the same thing happened, except with this time, two baby foxes. Nespark helped them out of the river, even though they were trying to climb onto his snout to stay out of the water.
Can't fly... much.
Nespark can't fly much. He can fly only a few inches off the ground, and for only thirty seconds or less. One day, he tried to fly higher and longer, but it kind of failed. He wishes he could fly, but since he can't be out of water for long and has small wings, it's just not possible for a Hammerhead Rude like him.
Curious.
Nespark, though shy, is a curious Rune. If he feels a disturbance in the water, he goes to check it out. If he sees a strange fish or plant, he goes to check it out. If he hears a strange noise, he goes to check it out, and so on. He is defiantly a curious Rune, and when he's exploring, almost nothing can distract him.
Likes:
Hunting.
Nespark, of course, being a Hammerhead Rune, loves hunting. He will hunt almost any kind of fish, and will also eat other creatures that live in the water, though he prefers fish.
Fish.
Nespark love, loves fish as much as he loves hunting. To him, when he sees a fish, his first thought is 'dinner' but then 'ohhh! What shiny scales that fish has.' He is for sure a fish lover.
Water.
Being a Hammerhead Rune and all, Nespark, of course, loves water and is in it almost every second, every minute, every hour and everyday of his life. He loves to splash and hunt and swim through water.
Creeks and rivers.
Nespark prefers creeks and rivers. Having never actually been in the ocean, after he was swept into a river by water currents as soon as he was born, he finds the ocean dark, deep, and almost scary. The only time he ventured into the ocean was the day Bane fished him out of it.
Sand.
Nespark loves sand. If he wanders into a sandy area of a creek or river, he actually rolls in the sand! Which, as you can imagine, is quite hard to do underwater, though he still loves to do it. He loves the feel of the sand on his skin.
Seaweed and reeds.
Nespark loves seaweed and reeds. He hides in it, sleeps in it, and swims merrily through it. He also uses it to hide himself when hunting, lunging out of the seaweed when he sees a tasty fish.
Warm weather.
Warm weather means warmer water, and Nespark prefers warm water, though no one really knows why. He loves to bask in patches of sunlight, sometimes even hopping onto the shore for a few moments to bask in the sun more.
Dislikes:
Storms.
Nespark hates storms, possibly because it is because that a storm caused the currents that swept him unmercifully out of the ocean, which he is now scared of. If he sees a storm coming, he immediately goes to hide.
Polluted water.
Though there isn't much polluted water around where Nespark is, he once wandered into water that was polluted. Coughing and gagging, he rushed out of the water at top speed, wings flapping wildly to speed him up in the water.
Minnows.
No one knows why, but Nespark hates minnows. They nibble on his fins and claws and his webbed feet, and just simply annoy him. They don't even make a filling dinner for Nespark, and so that is one reason he hates them.
Fighting.
Nespark is a peaceful Rune, he hates fighting of any kind. Even two fish fighting makes him upset. When he heard two mean fighting as they walked along the side of the river, Nespark got so upset that he jumped out of the water, scaring the men who then stopped fighting and ran away.
Fishing nets.
Ah, the dreaded fishing nets. Nespark has gotten caught in them more then once, but luckily the fishermen cut him loose of the net and set him free. Nespark hates fishing nets and always will.
Cold weather.
Cold weather means cold water, and Nespark does not like cold water one bit. He prefers warm, sunny water, the sun warming him as it shines through the water. And so when the clouds block out the sun, Nespark mopes and swims through the water, chilled. Luckily, Lemon provides him warm water during the winter.
Why do you wish to have him/her:
Who wouldn't wish to have this boy? He is gorgeous, from the tip of his snout to the end of his tail. His eyes are beautiful, His gills, his little wings, and the fact, of course, that he is a Hammerhead Rune! Hammerhead are me and my dad's favorite shark, and I just love sharks period, and so does my older sister even has sharks printed on her window curtains, so a lot of the family likes sharks. I had just clicked onto the Rune Dragon thread to see if there was any new dragons, and I saw him. I almost fell out of my chair from his amazingness. My first thought was 'oh my gosh, a shark Rune!' and I knew I had to try for him. He is simply one of the most beautiful Runes I have ever seen.
I have like, a ton of shark books all around the house. Even a few shark stuffed animals, and a really old shark calender. I luffles sharks, and I would love to own a Hammerhead Rune. I would feel very proud and happy to own this Rune, and I can assure you Nespark would be well cared for and spoiled.
I just love him so much, and I love sharks so much that if someone gave me a ticket to go on a boat to go shark watching, I would snatch up that ticket and pack my bags. I just love this Runie oh so much. Thank you for the chance at getting this darling Rune. I will work hard on my form so hopefully I will be considered as this Runes new owner.
Where will you keep him/her:
I would add him to my Rune Dragon thread, and put him in my signature for a long while, but after a while I would put a different character in my signature, and then I would put Nespark in again. I would sketch Nespark in my real life sketchbook and also draw him on here and order art of him. Though this may sound crazy, I sometimes imagine my Runes and other characters in real life, so I would sometimes pretend Nespark would be with me in real life. Not matter what, Nespark would not be forgotten or left to gather dust. I would love him forever, and he would be my cuddly (well... maybe not cuddly) sharky Rune. If he gathered even a speck of dust, I would dust him off and order or do art of him, or maybe write a story about him. Eventually, I will probably make a stuffed animal Rune of him in real life.

Any Quirks:
Nespark hates cold weather. It makes the water cooler, and he can't stand cold weather. Luckily, during winter Lemon takes Nespark home and fills the bathtub everyday with warm water. She even buys live fish for him to hunt! Though, after winter is over, the bathtub smells like fish, Lemon enjoys having Nespark at her cottage, and Nespark is glad he doesn't have to endure the cold weather outside. One of the downsides, though, is that Nespark tends to splash water everywhere, and so the floor in the bathroom is almost always covered in water. Lemon just mops it up and refills the bathtub, adds the fish, and Nespark happily dives in. Lemon calls this a quirk because when Nespark jumps into the bathtub, he tends to cannonball into it, splashing more water over the floor.

When Nespark finishes eating a fish, He doesn't eat the bones, but instead throws them onto the shore. This annoys many people walking past a river or creek, because the constant crunch crunch of fish bones under you're feet can be rather annoying. Still, Nespark almost always throws his fish bones onto the shore. People are often confused by the amount of fish bones, but Nespark has fish related quirk. He will snatch a fish right off a fishing line! And then, after he gets it, he tosses the bones, of course, onto the shore.

Nespark is attracted to fish scales. He sometimes takes the scales off a fish before eating it if he really like the scales, and then he will hide them in seaweed. But he can always find the scales, not matter where he puts them. Some fish he hunts because he wants their scales, though he will still eat the fish. 'Oh! That fish has pretty shiny golden scales!' is his first thought when he sees a fish's scales he really likes. Lemon, however, tries not to buy fish with pretty scales for Nespark during the winter, because the rest of the year she finds pretty fish scales all over her cottage! Nespark doesn't mind, though. He especially like the scales of koi fish, and if he sees a koi fish, he's after it's scales in a flash... and also the fact that to Nespark, koi are very delicious.

Nespark was following a fish. He was about to lung forward to grab the fish when suddenly, he got entangled in a fishing net. Thrashing and twisting this way and that, he only became more entangled in the net. He let out a hiss of annoyance as the fish swam past him, avoiding the net. I only got entangled in the net because I was concentrating on hunting... not where I was going. It doesn't mean these fish are smarter then me. He reassured himself. Heart pounding, he knew he had to get out of the net. He knew if he thrashed more he would get more entangled. And he had no ideas how to get free.

The fisherman looked up and saw bubbles floating to the top of the net, followed by the net shaking and twisting this way and that. "Wow! I must have caught a big fish!" The fisherman said, leaping out of his lawn chair and rushing over. He pulled out his net, and to his surprise, he saw a Rune! It was a Hammerhead Rune, glaring up at him. Shaking his head, he sighed. "You Hammerhead Runes are always getting tangled up in my nets. You should be careful, there is people out their who would love to get their greedy hands on those fins of yours!" The fisherman said, taking his knife and cutting through the net to set Nespark free. Nespark, who had never seen this man before, was overcome by shyness and jumped back into the creek.

A week later
---

Nespark suddenly remembered that brief incident that had happened a week before. His calmness had been with him then, but now it had left, and he found himself in a panic. He had gotten stuck in a trap, designed for fish, that someone had dropped into the water. And now he felt the trap being lifted out of the water. With a Splosh! The cage was dragged onto the shore. Two hunters were standing their. "Look, a Hammerhead Rune! We could get money for this creature's fins." One hunter said, rubbing his hands together. Nespark hated fighting, but this was cause enough for aggression. It was a life and death situation, and the normally calm Rune knew he was in trouble and had to fight.

He growled as one hunter approached Nespark's cage. The hunter held a knife, and with fear, Nespark realized that the human was going to cut off his fins! Who would want Rune Dragon fins? Nespark thought, then realized his fins were basically shark fins. The hunter grabbed Nespark and held onto the squirming Rune tightly. Nespark hissed and bit down hard on the hunter's wrist. The hunter let out a howl of pain and dropped Nespark, and the other hunter rushed over to grab Nespark, but it was too late. The Hammerhead Rune jumped into the creek and swam as fast as he could downstream. Nespark let out a sigh of relief at avoiding a near fatal incident. He knew he should of been more careful, he was just so focused on that koi fish that that had not noticed the cage. I should have listened to that fisherman... Nespark sighed to himself. He hated having to fight. But then, he thought, I wasn't fighting. I was defending myself! That's not the same thing, right? and he felt a little better about it.

Nespark was hungry, and he started searching for food. But suddenly, he felt a disturbance in the water. He poked his head above the water. He was stunned to see one of the hunters groping around in the water. They're looking for me! He thought. Though he remained calm this time. He began to swim slowly down stream, careful not to disturb the water. Soon, he no longer sensed the hunter in the water, but continued on until the creek opened up into a wide river. He felt safer, now in the deep water. And he also sensed food! He put the thought of the hunters aside so he could concentrate on hunting. He sensed a large fish, whirled around, and there it was! He killed it quickly and then began eating. It was a very good fish, and he wondered what kind it was. After he ate, he tossed the bones onto the shore, starting a few killdeers, which were a type of shore bird. They chirped and flew off into a bush.

But it wasn't Nespark that had scared the killdeers, it was the hunters! This is not my day... at least I have more energy now that I ate. I can escape faster! Nespark watched as one hunter jumped into the water, and Nespark sensed him walking deeper into the water. Then, the hunter tossed out a net! Still calm, Nespark dodged out of the way just in time. Suddenly, Nespark sensed the other hunter walking into the water. The hunter pointed to a sign that said, 'do not pass this sign. If you do, it is trespassing.' "We have to get out of here, I think the people who own this property inside." One hunter said urgently. "Shoot." The other hunter said, dragging in his net. The two then walked swiftly past the sign and into the woodlands. Nespark let out another sigh of relief, and suddenly felt the sun had come out. It shone through the water and warmed Nespark up. Suddenly, he thought of something. If I practice how to fly, I could just fly away from the hunters! He jumped onto the shore. And stretched out his wings. He flapped as hard as he could, but did not get an inch off the ground. Maybe I need to get up higher...

And so Nespark managed to climb up into a small tree. He spread his wings, and jumped off the branch. For a second, the wind lifted him up, and for a second he was gliding. I'm flying! I'm flying! I'm fl-! The wind suddenly dropped, and Nespark was sent plunging toward the river. With a splash! He landed in the shallow water. What he did not know was that the hunters had been waiting in a bush, and all of the sudden, a net was over him. Nespark held perfectly still, trying to fool the hunters that he was dead, and at first it worked. "Is it dead?" One hunter asked. "It's just trying to fool us! Grab it, before it gets away!" The other hunter said. How am I going to get away? I'm in a net! Nespark thought. "Why can't you do it?" The first hunter asked. "Because I'm holding the net! Now hurry up!" The second hunter, the one Nespark had bitten, said. The first hunter rolled his eyes, and grabbed Nespark. But before he could bite, Nespark fit the hunter slipping a string around his muzzle. He then quickly tied the string, which was very strong, and Nespark couldn't open his mouth! The hunter took a pocket knife out of his pocket and started cutting at Nespark's tail fin. Nespark let out a muffled chirp of pain, but suddenly, he heard someone say, "Hey! What are you doing?"

The hunters glanced at each other and started running, thinking the person who had spoke was the person who owned the property. But suddenly, The hunters heard a bark, and a collie was chasing after them! "Hey, wasn't that the collie from the fall?" The first hunter said. "Yeah, it was, keep running, the thing's vicious!" The second hunter said. The first hunter was still holding Nespark, but suddenly was sent tumbling to the ground as the collie, Trinket, bit his leg. The collie grabbed Nespark, and the Hammerhead Rune climbed onto the collie's back. Trinket rushed back to Lemon, and he, Sparrow, Candy, and Gemstone, and Cattail and Lemon started running. Lemon took Nespark from Trinket, and red blood from his fin stained her hands. Soon, they reached Lemon's cottage, where Tangerine was chasing a small lizard. They all went inside, except Gemstone, who headed back to his cave. Sparrow was shaken up by the hunters, but went over to Nespark when Lemon told her to. She pulled out a few of her wing feathers and and lay them on Nespark's bleeding fin, the bleeding stop, and his fin healed. Nespark and Sparrow then back away from each other, both shy. Lemon know the Rune was probably tired, and she remembered Hammerhead Runes couldn't be out of water for long. She went into the bathroom and started filling up the bathtub. She hoped the Rune didn't mind fresh water for a few minutes.

Nespark hopped into the bathtub and began splashing around. He felt he was safe, but still felt shy. "I wonder if you can fly." Lemon said. Nespark couldn't answer her, since most Runes couldn't speak human, but he could show her. He jumped out of the bathtub, jumped onto the sink, and then jumped off, flapping his wings, but he couldn't fly. "Guess that answers that question. If you want, I can take you back to the river. Trinket and Tangerine can come with us so the hunters don't bother us." Lemon said. Nespark nodded. "Okay, come on, lets go." Lemon said. Nespark climbed onto Lemon's shoulder, and they headed outside side. Once they were outside, Lemon started heading into the woodlands. They soon arrived at a creek, and Nespark jumped off Lemon's shoulder into the water. He watched as Lemon said goodbye to him and she, Trinket, and Tangerine started to walk away. It's sure been an exhausting, interesting day. Nespark thought as he began to look for fish in the water.

I wish I could have made some art, but I got sick and I just got a new dog in real life, so I've been pretty busy and miserable (I hate sore throats ;n;)

I went trough a dark moos, when suddenly a rune dragon, looking like a hammerhead shark is staring at me. He stares and staren and suddenly he disappeares. I`m searching for him and,fortunately, find him. I try to stroke him and he purrs like a baby cat. >>He`s so cute<< i think >>May he like me?<<
