•۰• Name •۰•
Lucid
It means:
Something that is easily understood; intelligible. Mentally sound; sane or rational. Or transparent.

A fitting name in my eyes and it just fits him. To me his coat is almost ghostly or 'transparent'. As if he's here one minute and gone the next, but always somewhere near willing to listen, understanding and in return understood.
His full name is Lucid Dream.

•۰• Personality •۰•
• Lucid is a complicated being.
• He seems quite cold and distant, his heart is hard to please, yet he's very wise and open minded. He never judges anything before he knows the truth, but he tends to forget that not everything in life is about truth, facts and reason. He wishes he could be more free and stop over analyzing everything.
• Lucid hopes to evetually just let all his feelings go. In time he will learn to forget about the opinion of others and enjoy himself. It's what has kept him back in love matters too. He's afraid to fall in love because it's something that can't be based on fact, it's a strong feeling he can't find a reason for and this really really scares him.
• He's also known to be very calm, no one has heard him raise his deep husky voice or ever panic. Though he might be very different inside, he feels the need to be strong for other's sake and to keep them going. With his encouraging but faint smile he likes to help others get through any hardship.

•۰• Poem •۰•
Just like the wind you dissaphear,
And steal my heart which makes me fear,
What if you go, what if you leave,
You're left alone for them to keep.

Breath in that silence that you love,
Untie the ropes that keep you up,
You're barely heard and hard to see,
You haunt my peace and lucid dreams.

And just like hope you're bright, but faint,
Strong and brave, you cannot hate,
The ones who kicked you to the ground,
Took your voice and took your sound.

But I can hear your silent neigh,
And give the love you can't escape...

•۰• Quirks •۰•
Despite being a silent and pesimistic character, Lucid has many quirks that make him very special.
•For one he always walks/trots and usualy even gallops on the right side of everyone. It's just a little habit and he cannot stand being on the left, he just feels dizzy and that it isn't right. Everyone's used to this silly quirk though, so they just move aside.
•He also has to correct everyone, all the time. Because he always follows facts and reason he thinks he's always right and likes to interrupt if he thinks someone is wrong, ironicaly he's usualy the one that messes up. It can get annoying. At this point Lucid gets all hurt and pouts, which is quite cute for this no longer baby tempestine.
•Finally someting that all other tempestines seem to notice is that he closes his eyes when there's a stronger gust of wind. No one knows why including Lucid himself, he just does it. He's not really afraid of the wind, but maybe seeing the trees bend makes him flinch a little and once again show how sensitive he is.

•۰• •۰• •۰• ☀ •۰• •۰• •۰•

•۰• Favorite Place •۰•
Lucid has one very special place that's close to his heart.

Image

It's a little place beside the cliffs where he goes to watch the sun set each evening, the waves crash and listen to the soft wind blow.
I took this picture a few months ago, I was enchanted by the place and it left wonderful feelings inside. I can imagine Lucid there right now, standing proudly, not afarid of anything. Maybe the only place he can be himslef and scream at the sky as much as his heart desires.

•۰• Most Precious Song •۰•
''My memory,
Hangs like the stain glass of the saints past history.
I bury deep, Saint Anthony.
I hear that he can help me find the things I need.

Alaska winters pray for end of summer days
But the sun won't go away.
Just like me I'll bet they really want to change.

I can run as far as London,
But my past has first class seats.

The lighthouse lost it's beam.
Now all I see,
Is the face of the cliffs between the moonlight waxing.
I fear for my life,
That the current tonight,
Is stronger than the will that I have to survive.

So breathe you're alive.
So breathe you're alive.
So breathe you're alive.

Is it just me,
Or do you wonder if we're put here just to see,
How much heartache we can take,
Without hanging from the tallest tree?

So breathe you're alive.
Breathe you're alive.

Because we'll make it through this,
No matter the odds all bets are on.
It's always darkest just before the dawn.

The lighthouse lost it's beam and now all I see,
Is the face of the cliffs between the moonlight waxing.
I fear for my life,
That the current tonight,
Is stronger than the will that I have to survive.

So breathe you're alive. ''

Saint Anthony ~ By Senses fail.
It's a very important song to Lucid. It shows how much he has been through, the pain he finds hard to hide. But there's always a little hope... as long as we can breathe we're alive, as he likes to say often.

•۰• Why I want him •۰•
I truly fell in love with him, and I don't just want him - I need him.
The fact that he's the last of his kind makes him so much more special, and a little sad.
I love that silver coat and blue antlers, the warm earthy brown on his legs and tail. Everything is perfect and I really don't know what else to say. He would be my first and only tempestine. He's real and breathing to me, this whole personality has formed without intention and I'll try my best not to let him go! ♥

♈ Owner ♈
Image
♈ Name ♈
Image
Niabi meaning Fawn. His fur contains the colour fawn and a fawn is a baby deer and he is as excitable, cute and adventurous as a young Buck. His Stable name will be Nibby, which is the name of a cat I once met, a large, fluffy, gentle giant with the heart of a mouse! Cato is Latin for Sagatious or Wise one which is highly relevant due to his personality and the fact he is going to (possibly) be the last of his kind.
♈ Gender ♈
Image
♈ Age ♈

♈ Height ♈

♈ Likes ♈
Nibby is a very creative tempestine, and so he adores playing and experimenting with his hooves and antlers. His experiments usually dont work, but sometimes he creates baeutiful warm storms in the middle of summer. Through his many experimentations, Nibby has found he can create huge fluffy snowflakes, and he enjoys blowing the wind so they fall into huge mounds on the earth below his cloud. Nibby is also a very cheeky tempestine, and takes pleasure in sneaking off from the other adults to explore the hundreds of different clouds around him. He is often accompanied by his Best friend Aiva (mentioned later in the form).
♈ Dislikes ♈
Unlike other Tempestines, Nibby hates being stuck in the cold, especially in an unknown places; This happens often when Niabi-Cato gets lost whilst exploring. Niabi also hates being told what to do, and is therefore a very rebellious adult. unusually though, despite his rebellious nature Nibby is expected to be an excellent sire to any of his future foals due to his ability to keep young bucks quiet without much effort. He tells all the foals the stories of his adventures, and always enraptures his audience, keeping them out of trouble themselves.
♈ Friends ♈
Best friend - Aiva (female, daughter of Alpha Temp.)
Other friends - Giulia (female), Autumn Winds - Autumn (Male, Giulia's Brother)
Mortal Enemy - Injustice (male, future Mate of Aiva and Half-brother of Giulia)

♈ Family ♈
Dam - Kiri
Sire - Unknown
Niabi's Sire left the herd with a few other male Tempestines in the hunt for water during the great drought. None of the males returned, and Nibby has never been able to ask his mother about his father as she refuses to talk about him.

♈ Song ♈
Two songs he reminds me of
Evanescence - My immortal (chorus)
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have
All of me

You used to captivate me
By your resonating light
Now I'm bound by the life you left behind
Your face it haunts
My once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away
All the sanity in me

These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

Coldplay - Fix you (verse 1 + 2 and chorus)
When you try your best, but you don't succeed
When you get what you want, but not what you need
When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse

And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone, but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

♈ Why I want him ♈
I would be exstatic should I win Niabi-Cato as i have never owned a Tempestine (ever), and this may be my last chance to do so. I have posted formes for approximately 40 different tempestines, and never won once. Due to this fact I have spent several hours sorting this form, and completing and adding to it as much as possible. I have worked especially hard on this form as I have seen the forms posted by other members, and (noticing some were better than my original form) I constantly improved this post more and more.
♈ What would I do with him? ♈
If Tempestines were to restart, and I won Nibby, I would probably breed him, several times. He has such a beautiful coat that when bred with a plain coated or unique patterned mare, all his foals would be beautiful. I would not necissarily keep all the foals, I may allow one to be bred and then ask the artist to adopt it out instead. I would love to do another competition like this one, to challenge the owners creative skills. I would love to judge the forms and decide who the foal went to! :D
I believe if I adopted out one of his foals, it (might) be the first bred adoptable Tempestine, and therefore the foal would be especially special! ;)

Thanks so much for this last adopting oppertunity Chasing Dreams. This Tempestine is especially beautiful, and totally unique. You have done a great job on him.
Good luck with your forms everyone - I love them all!

Arie is a stubborn, willful creature. He is very bold and adventurous. He is a very playful Tempestine, but can be serious at times. He is proud of his noble race and honored to be one of them, though he can be rather show-offy from time to time. He is a little on the overly-prideful side, but he knows it and is half-heartedly trying to correct himself, though it'll probably take a while.
He can be very determined and once he has found something that he really wants to do, he will think of nothing else until it is done. Sometimes, however, he will have found something he likes and will forget about it or lose interest in it within a 3-8 days, so it is very hard to tell what he'll stick with and what he won't.
He is not shy at all with any other creatures. He has a way with words that he uses quite often, whether to give hidden insults, slightly hidden compliments, or some other such thing. He has many friends, mare and stallion, but does not yet care for any mare in particular. He thinks that someday he might be ready to settle down with a mare, or maybe get a herd going, but he believes he is not yet ready for such a thing. In truth, he's still a little on the immature side.
He is friendly and very mild-tempered. He can be very sympathetic and never likes to hurt anyone's feelings. However, when he loses his temper he doesn't care what he does, though he feels bad for it afterwards and apologizes. It's hard to stay angry at this cheerful equine who lives every day like it's his last chance for adventure. One second a Tempestine will be yelling at his for running down a hill at top speed and crashing into them, and the next they'll be laughing with him about the whole thing.
Overall, he's a kind-hearted, happy fellow who loves adventure and gets in a bit of trouble for his love of it.

Image
Image
Namarie was born into a family of only his parents. He had no siblings. His sire was a blue roan who liked to create lightning storms, and his dam was a chestnut tovero who liked to create forest fires. When Namarie turned four, he left his parents to go explore the world of Tempestines. So far, all he's done is make some friends, maybe an enemy, and get into a whole lot of trouble for his crazy schemes for adventure. I can't wait to see where life will take him next!

The story, from my perpesctive, of how I met this lovely gem.
I trudged along the path, my legs stiff and sore. The wind blew cold and brisk against my back, as if pushing me forward. Little did I know that it really was. I glanced up at the darkening sky, dotted with a few dim stars. The wind started blowing from the east at that moment, towards a little forest. As a raindrop fell on my nose, I decided to find some shelter for the night. I walked the little-worn path into the forest, as it was the only shelter nearby.
As I pushed a pine branch out of the way, I saw a cozy, tiny, sheltered little area, just big enough for me to lie down on. I gathered some dry, soft leaves from some of the maple trees and made myself a bed. Moss was a good addition to this, making it springy and comfy. I laid down on my forest bed, yawning as I rested my head on my pack.
You may be wondering where I was going, and why, too. The truth is, I wasn't really going anywhere in particular. I was just a wandering traveler. I suppose I was perhaps looking for somewhere where I could settle down, maybe permanantly. But this was quite a while ago and I can't remember my reasons.
I awoke to warmth and birdsong. The sun's beams were peeping through the little hole between the branches, and little sparrows were chirping merrily as they flew from tree to tree. I stretched, yawning, and stood up. I picked up my pack and withdrew from it an apple. I then put my pack on and walked back to the road, munching on my breakfast as I did so.
I had walked for not more than an hour when I came across a beautiful, cold stream. The sight of it immediatly made me thirsty. I stooped down to drink from it. It wass cool and refreshing, and the best water I'd ever had. It tasted, somehow, sparkly and light. I can't explain how it was so, and never will be able to.
As I pulled my head up from the water to breathe for a moment, I glanced at the reflections in the water. There I saw an equine face, with dark antlers on its majestic head. I was too surprised to raise my head to look at it instead of its reflection. It was drinking from the stream, its minty green eyes twinkling with light. I watched the creature's reflection as it stood and shook its head. I would have thought I was seeing things if a droplet of water hadn't landed on my wrist.
I still didn't look up at the actual animal; for some reason I could not bring myself to look at anything but its form in the water. Suddenly it disappeared from view, and I raised my head to look for it. But the majestic equid was nowhere to be seen.
I sighed and lowered my head to drink again. Then I took my two empty flasks and filled them with the river's delicious water. I then kept walking, crossing the river by the little stepping stones that were certainly not put there by human hands. All the while I kept thinking of the horse-creature who I had seen only the reflection of. Had I been seeing things? No, I couldn't have been. It had to be real. But... What other explanation could there be for such a phenomenon?
Large, sturdily-built, antlered equines don't just pop up out of the blue every day. And I had never heard of such a creature, either. But I just couldn't bring myself to doubt its existance. I shook my head, trying to stop confusing myself with so many arguements, and tried to focus on my path.
It was hard to keep focused on something boring when something utterly amazing had just happened, but that was what I had to do if I didn't want to stray off the road and get hopelessly lost. So I stayed focused as best I could.
I kept going for three days before I ran out of water again. I was hoping to come across another stream. And I did! Just as I was beginning to think I'd die of thirst, I saw a stream ahead. I rushed towards it in glee. But then I halted suddenly. It looked exactly like the other stream I'd seen. But as I looked around, I realized the scenery was very different, so it couldn't have been the same stream. And it certainly couldn't taste half as good as the other stream.
But as my lips touched the cold, flowing water and I tasted it, I jumped back, shocked. It tasted the same. But it couldn't, it just couldn't. But it did! Then it came to my mind that it could just be another part of that other stream. Still, I was suspicious, and thought, as I lowered my head to drink again, "Two streams that look exactly the same and taste exactly the same? This has to be more than coincidence..." And when I saw the familiar equine reflection in the water again, I knew it wasn't.
This time, I looked up to see the actual thing. It was even more beautiful and majestic than its reflection. Its tail was long, and like a lion's - no hair or fur except a long plume of it on the end. And there was a bit of hair at the beginning of the tail, too, though it seemed to grow off the back and not the actual tail. Its navy blue antlers had little spots of white on the back.
As the animal shifted its position, I discovered that it was a he. And when he raised his head... He looked right at me. A low, rumbling nicker came from his throat. He tossed his head and disappeared into a copse of trees by the side of the road. I wanted to go after him, but I needed to fill my flasks with water.
So I finished my drinks and stocked up on water again. I knew going after him now could only get me lost, so I simply continued along the road, wishfully daydreaming about the wonderful horse-creature.

"Did someone say adventure? Let's go!"
"You think I'm good with words? Well, I suppose you could say that, but it all depends on how you interpret the meaning of that phrase. I mean, say you interpret 'good with words' as knowing a lot of words. Then yes, I am good with words. But, for instance, if you interpreted it as using my words to get my way, well, I could, but I don't, and sometimes that makes others think I'm not good at that. So that would sort of be a 'no.' So it really depends on how you use, or interpret, 'good with words.'"
"Oh dear. I hope I didn't confuse you."
"You want an obscure word? How about archaeic? It means obscure, or little known."

Image
Image
There are multiple reasons for this. For one, I don't have a Tempestine and this could be my very last chance to get one. Second, I love him, especially his coloring. It's so unusual-looking, so unique. I also love how he has pale red-ish colors and then dark blue-ish antlers - practically opposites, but so beautiful together. I also don't want the other two times I tried to post a form (I kept clicking some button[s] that made me go back or closed the page or whatever) to go to waste. XD But mostly the second reason.
Image
Image
Lots of things, obviously. I'll join a Tempestine roleplay, make a thread just for him, make art and poems of him, etc. He'd get more attention than most of my other adopted creatures because he'll most likely be the only one I'll ever get, since Tempestines are closing. I'm putting a lot of effort and time into this form so I have a good chance of winning, and I'll put just as much effort into giving him a good home with a loving owner.
Image
Image
Thanks you so much for giving me this last chance. Even if it's a long shot, even if I don't win, thank you so much for this chance.
Image

Big work in progress, as you can see. XD
