Story:
A cloud went over the sun, covering the only source of heat in the wintry atmosphere. The ground was carpeted with a thin layer of sticky snow. It was freezing, and the female Starfox’s breath made little white clouds in front of her muzzle as she walked silently across the snowy ground. Her pelt shivered because she was utterly chilled to the bone. Walking, she was oblivious to her surroundings. If something posed as a threat, she could simply take flight and disappear. She was searching for food for herself, starving since it was so cold and meals have burrowed for the winter. She was a loner, which did not look good on her half since it was usually the omega's who were commonly found dead.

Nyota came across eggs that seemed abandoned. Typically, Nyota was one not to take advantage of small critters like pups, but her starvation certainly was playing a factor. They would not survive such a brutal and harsh winter without their mother, who was careless to leave her eggs alone for so long that her scent was no longer there. The three eggs felt gross as she crunched and swallowed them down. The sun has been long gone from the sky, making it cold and dark. The eggs were nestled in a nest that could not fit her comfortably, but it would be better than going out to find another one with the possibilities of coming across a predator. Turning and turning in circles, she laid, not comfortable, but warm enough to sleep tonight without freezing to her death. She snuggled her wings against her back to keep her warmth around her. Sounds of creatures outside where the only things of indication that she was still awake, able to hear their calls. Restlessly, she tried to get some shut-eye.

(Not sure how long the story should have been, but I can extend if needed!)
