Her background: Born to a family that would always fight, she loved to be in cemeteries. They made her feel safer there than at home with her parents. She was always at home in the cemetery. When she left home and learned of a festival called Day of the Dead, she decided she would visit Mexico and participate. She loved it! She'd never felt so alive participating in the Dia de los muertos festival. Whenever she painted her face and gave her prayers for the dead, she felt alive and safe. SHe loved to participate in the day of the dead. The life and death feel mixing together was revigorarting.
