Tane.
I picked this name mostly because it's pretty, but I also wanted something unique and not something that I just got off Google. I thought of this name and liked it, but wanted to now if It had any history so I went to behindthename and checked. Sure enough, Tane was there. It is a Maori name and apparently Tane was the Maori god of Forests and Ligt. He also cretaed the tui bird. I think that this one fits this little guy, regardless of the history.

Why do you want him?
For him, mostly his colors. I'm not going to go on and on about how pretty he is, I just like his colors and unique-ness. He's just different.

Would you like to breed him in the future?
I guess so, if I win another Rune. Probably not, though. His little Rune-lets would look cute, though!

Story

"Aaug, Tane, will you ever listen?" Kestel said it with a hint in her voice that showed she didn't think it was ever possible. The little Rune distangled itself from her hair and gave her an innocent look. "Oh cut it, Tane. I know you're not that cute." She said, rollling her eyes. Tane gave a harrumph and settled himself down on her lap. Kestrel smiled. "Oh, come on. You knw I didn't mean it." In a flash he was back on her head. "Hopeless. Absolutley hopeless." The rune smiled at her. Kestrel grinned. "What do you say we go for a hike?" The ruine was off her head and out the door before she could even blink. "Tane..." He guiltily looked backwards. The pair had been going out there for a while to attemp and find Tane's voice. It haden't worked so far, but the strange ritual continued.
Smiling at her Rune Kestrel put on her rainboots. Tane liked to spend most of his time outside but because of the mud and the rain she had made him stay inside. This was why he was so bad, because he hadn't used his extra energy. Normally he would be splashing around in the birdbath making strange, gargly chirruping sounds. While Kestrel was content reading and drinking Cranberry Juice, Tane would run in and splash her. This usually resulted in something not so good. Pulling out of your thought Kestel smiled at Tane. "I hope you're ready for a race!" She said. Tane did his watery chirrup in reply and sped down the path. Kestel followed, knowing that she wouldn't win but trying anyway.
Halfway to the glen where they usually went she stopped, panting. It wasn't that she was overweight or anything, but unlike Tane Keltrel spent her days inside and not outside. "Slow...Down, Tane." Her breathing came out wrong and for a moment she felt light headed. It didn't last for long, though and soon the usual pain in her side came. Bending over she clutched at her chest. Taking three deep breaths she looked up. There was Tane in front of her, holding three big bright red berries. He smiled and threw them in quick succesion at her, splattering her shirt."Oh, Tane." Kestrel sighed. Tane smiled misceviosly at her and she took off again, running to the Glen.Once there Kestrel set up a rock where they could sit down. As thye started to relax a bird song broke out in the Glen. Kestrel looked for her Rune but Tane was nowhere to be seen. She frowned. "Tane?" No reply. "Tane!" She started to get frantic now, but still couldn't find him.
At this time, Kestrel had had enough. She transformed into her Bird-Skin and flew above the whole thing, spotting Tane lying down on the ground. "Tane!" She had forgotten how hard it was to talk in Bird-Skin and it came out a strange gargle. Just like Tane. Flying dow she saw that Tane had cut himself on a sharp stone. "Oh, Tane." She was trying to keep herself from laughing. It wasn't that bad really, just a little bruise would be left by the end of the day. Tane obviosly didn't know this and was crying and sqwaking as if his wing had been torn off. "Tane, I think you'll live." He ignored her and continued making noise. Kestel could see she wasn't going anywhere. Taking off the Bird-Skin she cuddled up next to Tane and started to sing softly to him. Slowly he stopped crying and let out a long, shaky sigh. Still Kestrel sang and soon, another voice joined hers. She didn't notice it a first, but it grew stronger, humming along to an old tune that was almost like a lullaby. When the voice entered her conciosness she stopped abruptly and turned to look at Tane. "Tane, you're singing!" He stopped to and looked at her. Then they both burst out laughing.
On the walk home Tane kept exploring his new-found talent and Kestel could see that it could eventually get on her nerves. But who was she kidding? She was just happy that Tane was happy. The last thing she remembered that night when falling alseep was Tane gently nibbling on her ear and humming the lullaby in her ear. Then, she fell asleep.

So sorry guys! I got busy last night and completely forgot. I just read over every form and did my judging, and it was tough. I loved each and every form, but to me one stood out in creativity and definite quality. Thank you to all who applied for him, but sadly only one could be named owner.

Congrats to LordtheHorses and their new rune Tane! I'm happy to see him going to a good home.

Oh my Gosh! I am so happy! I didn't think I'd win, there were so many other good forms. Godd job to everyone, I'm sure the decision was really tough!
