.Rune Dragon's Name.Nymphaea Stellata; Nymph for short
This is the name of a blue water lily that grows in India. It just seems like a pretty and elegant name that would fit this Rune.
.Gender.Female
.Would you like to breed her?.Yes, her babies would be gorgeous!
.Why do I want her?.She is absolutely gorgeous, that's why. My favorite color is blue and I especially love this shade of blue. The flowers are just pretty and I honestly really love this Rune. I have stories and fanart already planned for her and my other Runes. She seems so sweet and playful but with some underlying mischief, I think this will fit well with my little clan of Runes. Also, I honestly need a female in my group and I would love for her to join.
.What will you do with her?.I will draw her and write stories of her, of course. She will become a cherished member to my Rune group and I will love drawing her and developing her character.
.In General.Joyful and playful, Nymph is a blast to be around. She loves to joke, play, run around, and generally just have fun. She is not a shy rune, actually she is quite the opposite. Nymph is very outgoing and loud. She loves to chatter and talk, even if it is just to herself.
Rainy days can be some of the best and worst days of year. I love the sound of rain, how it seems to leave the earth rejuvenated. Everything seems clean, new. However, I always hate how it leaves my home a complete wreck.
It was one of those days I watched as the sky grew dark and eventually the ran began in fall. At first it was only a drizzle, and seemed that it would only last a few moments, but then it started to poor in grey sheets. I could barely see in front of me as I rushed into my home, my Runes in tow. Mephistopheles immediately sprawled in front of the fireplace, steam rising from his drying fur. He seemed relaxed and willing to wait the rain away, but Fizzle and Nymph was a different story.
They raced through the house, squealing, as they continued their game of chase inside. I sighed, looking at the stone form of Grimald, he typically helped out keeping them in line, but he was down for the count during the day. A loud crash, followed by muffled giggles, signaled my time to check the damage. It was going to be a loooong day.
Nymph is a very curious rune, and loves to explore every new place she comes across. She loves inspecting anything new and interesting, especially if it is shiny. She loves searching for new places to swim and play in. She is brave and hardly shows fear as she charges into anything new. She can be a bit headstrong and really doesn't pay much attention to her surroundings, but she never seems too bothered by danger, and always manages to get out of out any trouble.
Never, ever take your water based rune to an aquarium. I learned this the hard way. It had been a long, dry, summer, and Nymphaea was starting to look a little uncomfortable. To cheer the amphibious rune up, I decided to take her to a outside aquarium. There were several gorgeous koi ponds that I thought she would love seeing. She seemed pretty excited as she bounced on the lily pads, watching the gold and white fish flick at the surface of the pool.
However, she quickly became bored and grew worried as she disappeared from my view. I found her, and my heart stopped when I where exactly she had disappeared to. She was perched on a rock...in the middle of an alligator enclosure. She flailed her wings and warbled sweetly, seeming unaware of the large, reptile that was slowly sneaking up on her. I cried her name in panic, and as she turned, she barely missed having her tail snapped off.
Needless to say, when Nymph is getting tired of the heat, she can splash around in the new small pool I got her, instead of becoming some alligator's lunch.
Nymph can be a bit mischievous, and loves to pull pranks every now and then. She always manages to get away and you will see her hiding underneath her favorite lily pad, giggling. She is a bit innocent and her feelings sometimes get hurt a little too easily. However, she hardly ever seems down for long, and her spirit quickly recovers and you can see her bounding around happily playing and chasing fireflies.
Nymphaea ran around the house, her cheeks bulging with water as she chased the giggling Fizzle. Every now and then she squirted small jets of water, trying to hit the little Rune. As she rounded a corner, she let loose her last bit of water. Unfortunately, Grimald was just walking around too. She absolutely soaked the guardian rune. His gold eyes flared angrily and he turned and stalked away, his pale tail lashing with annoyance.
Nymph seemed absolutely devastated that she had made the gargoyle rune angry. She looked around, bewildered, her blue eyes watering. Fizzle came to the rescue, and pressed against the ocean blue Rune. He had a goofy grin on his face and was wagging his sparkler around playfully. She quickly pushed him over, squeaked at him, and then took off. Evidently she had recovered and Fizzle was 'it'.
.Likes.Nymph loves to swim. That is definitely her favorite pastime and she could practically do that all day long. She loves to chase little fishies and minnows around the water and collecting lotus flowers. Nymph also adores all of her other Rune companions, especially little Nimbus. She helps Grimald take care of the little bundle of energy, but most of the time she gets in trouble along side of him. Nymph also has a love for ice cream, especially strawberry ice cream. She adores the sweet treat like a drug and will constantly steal your bowl if you leave it unattended.
.Dislikes.Nymph, of course, hates being dry. It hurts her skin and makes her feel uncomfortable. She also hates extreme cold because it makes her skin freeze. Nymph isn't a big fan of bullies and tries to stand up to them any chance she gets. She hates having her feelings hurt and doesn't want others to feel the same way. Shockingly, Nymph isn't a big fan of vegetables. She hates eating them and is more of a sweet or fruit eater.
.Lily of the Lake.
I had not really expected to discover the mischievous little Nymphaea. I had decided to go on a small adventure, taking only a small pack and Fizzle. He seemed ecstatic to be leaving the house after so long, and kept bouncing on my shoulder happily as we traveled across a lake on a little ferry.
It was sunny and brilliant that day, despite it being the end of summer. The water sent shimmering light on the side of boat and dragonflies skimmed the water. I even saw a few fish flop towards the surface. It was peaceful, relaxing even, or it would have been if it wasn't for the hyperactive baby rune running back and forth along the deck and rail. I sighed, shaking my head, it was hard to take in beauty with babe running around. I watched little Fizzle trip and collide into some poor person's legs, sending them sprawling. I sighed again, maybe it would be an interesting adventure after all.
As the ferry touched the bank with a soft bump, I had to sprint onto the land to keep up with Fizzle. He was already crashing through some of the undergrowth, his little sparkler waving merrily behind him like a beacon. Someone behind me called a warning after me, but I paid it no mind. I was too busy trying to keep up with Fizzle. Besides, what could be so dangerous on this serene island?
I managed to scoop up the little imp as he skidded to a halt at the edge of a clearing. I was panting and glaring at my Rune, but only when he squealed happily at something ahead, I looked up. It was a beautiful pond. Lily pads practically covered the surface with bright white flowers scattered amongst the huge leaves. A few egrets paced the edge, their blue-grey heads searching the water for frogs and little prey. It was gorgeous and calming...then Fizzle slipped out of my arms.
He bounded along the wide lily pads, squeaking and flailing his little sparkler happily. I was shocked, he typically hated water, but something must have caught his attention. I yelled for him to comeback, and even ran to the edge of the water. It was deep and the water looked murky. Anything could be hiding underneath the muddy water and the mud. I glanced up when I heard a startled squeak.
Fizzle was fighting with one of the egrets. Well, not really fighting, more of trying to avoid the lethal beak. It was jabbing at him with swift strikes, trying to hit my little rune. He staggered backwards, his wails of terror drawing attention of the other dangerous birds. He looked around frantically, but he had know where left to go.
Just as I was about to start paddling towards the skirmish, the bird let out a startled squawk. It hopped on its spindly legs and flapped its large wings in panic. The water bubbled and churned before the bird and I think I even caught a glimpse of blue and green wings. I was worried about what it was, but at least it was keeping my Fizzle safe. The bird finally got the hint and flew to find easier prey.
I sighed in relief as whatever it was beneath the water began to push Fizzle's lily pad towards the shore. Fizzle seemed fine, and was even back to his hyper self as he tried to peer at the water. I scooped him up before he could cause anymore problems and I looked at the water curiously.
Two deep blue eyes stared back at him from the water's edge. The eyes belonged to a beautiful ocean blue Rune. She was adorned with several blue lily flowers, and even some perched on her horns. She trilled happily at Fizzle and me, her tail churning the water happily.
As I sat out, waiting for my clothes to dry, the rune kept Fizzle busy. He finally found someone that could match his energy, and he even had a hard time keeping up with the new Rune. Eventually he collapsed in a heap in a lap, his eyes drooping sleepily as he watched his savior. She even snuggled next to my legs watching as Fizzle fell asleep.
As I started to leave the pond with the snoozing Fizzle in my arms, the rune followed. She looked up at me happily, her tail wagging happily and she even chirped softly. I offered her my hand, and she quickly perched on my shoulder and peered down at Fizzle curiously. My adventure may not have been so spectacular, but I still found treasure in a new friend.

Here is my art. It was hard due to the laptop I was using. I still like it though. ^^
