Personality;;
"Wesson deviates between wallflower and social butterfly. He hangs on the edge of crowds, just out of the spotlight. He walks on the narrow line between saint and sinner, occasionally placing a paw out of line. With an annoyed scowl and a soft heart, he pads along the line, snarling at miscreants and smiling at wide-eyed children. He cares not for the chattering masses around him, yet he’d give anything to keep even the most insignificant stranger safe. Old deeds weigh down his paws with the inky weight of guilt and regret, but he holds his head high and focuses on the path ahead."
Wesson likes to see the good in people, though he knows it's not always there. He's been all around and seen even more, things rarely surprise him. He's determined, surefooted and confident and will stop and nothing less than death once he sets his mind to something. He's a fighter, a survivor, and has a good sense of self-preservation (which he tends to ignore). He is rather morally ambiguous and won't hesitate to use questionable methods. When hunting (the supernatural), he's rather ruthless from living in New Orleans. It always hits him hard, though, when he fails to save someone. That's always his priority, get the other person out alive. Rather strange for someone with such a large self-preservation streak, but Wesson always did have a soft heart. Despite his soft heart, he's not above breaking limbs or letting the person he's trying to save acquire some minor wounds if it means getting them out still breathing.

History;;
He grew up in the backwoods of Minnesota, surrounded by vast woods and lakes. He spent as much time as he could outdoors exploring. During deer season, he would spend days in the wilderness with his father. During these years he learned how to build campfires, snares and a few basics of surviving the forests. He also got fairly good at hunting, though mostly deer and beaver. His paradise didn’t last, however. When he was 15, his parents packed up the family and moved across the country to Kansas City.
It was tough, switching miles of wooded wilderness for dirty city parks and a closed in apartment. He never did get used to the bustling city. At 17, je grabbed his things and left, wandering the country aimlessly. After an unfortunate incident on a dark country road, he discovered the supernatural. Tagging along with the hunter who rescued him, 2 years in the city left him scrambling to relearn the basics of surviving. He soaked up as information as he could before finally going his own way.
At 19, he legally changed his name, desperate to escape his past. The plumerian, newly dubbed ‘Wesson Duelle,’ kickstarted his career as a hunter of the supernatural. He travelled the US, picking fights with everything that went bump in the night. He talked to every hunter he could, and he always heard the same thing, ‘Stay away from New Orleans.’
With two more years of experience under his belt, Wesson ignored that warning and travelled down to New Orleans, Louisiana. He was met with a near overwhelming amount of supernatural energy. Not one to be scared away, he settled in an apartment near the french quarter. His hunts were pretty rough at first, but pretty soon he learned the ropes of hunting in New Orleans.
After a year, 22 year old Wesson learned to ‘live and let be’ - if he didn’t bother the neutral supernatural creatures around town, they wouldn’t bother him. He still gets a bit of trouble from the local crossroads demons, but they leave him well enough alone if he doesn’t interfere with their deals.
At 24, he started up his own web of contacts. A few shopkeepers, one or two enlightened civilians. They help piece together possible cases and help with research. He mostly stays (and hunts) around New Orleans, but occasionally travel up to Baton Rouge and the lands around that. Even more rarely, he'll venture away from the bayous and take a case a few states over.
The year he turned 25, he made the riskiest decision of his life and approached a few neutral members of the supernatural.

Occupation;;

Residence;; New Orleans, Louisiana. The hub of dark magics and supernatural beings- dangerous ground for a hunter. He lives in a second floor apartment around five minutes from city center and just around the corner from the bar he works at. Salt lines every window sill and doorway of the two-bedroom dwelling. Devils traps are painted under rugs and carved under furniture. Multiple wards are traced under strategically placed paintings. Silver blades, flasks of holy water and throwing knives are cached in every drawer and every cabinet. Pre-recorded exorcisms are left on top of shelves or stashed in nooks and crannies. You call it paranoia, Wesson calls it survival.
