★ Deori (Deo)
A hermaphrodite deer x fox x gryphon x horse.

Deoris are creatures with the head of a fox,
the body of deer, gryphon talons, and hanches
of a horse - as well as it’s mane and tail. They
spend almost all of their life in a herd, which
has the social structure of a hierarchy. While
all Deos have gems on their body, the nobles
usually adorn themselves with other jewelry
or trinkets. They use these items as a way to
impress potential mates.

Deoris usually live in tropical environments,
though there has been some seen in deserts
or even high mountainous areas. They always
live near a dragon’s den, as this is their main
source for their trinkets and gems. Deos are
omnivores, though they tend to steer clear of
other animals; they eat insects as well as fruit,
berries, vegetables, and roots. The berries and
fruit that they do not eat turns into dyes and
paint in order for them to dye their manes and
tails. Some herds have tribal markings to show
their nobility.

When a Deori finds a mate, the two of them will
venture into the dragon’s den together in order
to find some sort of trinket to exchange with
each other, this is similar to a human’s wedding
rings. Deos usually mate for life, though there
are possibilities that the relationship won’t work
out. Deori bear between 5-10 calves in their
lifetimes before they no longer breed.
Most baby Deoris are born without manes,
and are quite troublesome, they usually
like to get into the paints and dyes and cover
themselves.

+ guidelines

Rules are subject to change. ♥

    General
★ Respect everyone, including other adopters and staff!
★ COPPA members are allowed to participate, but are limited. Sorry, guys, you can fully adopt and participate once you're able to!
★ Try to be a good sport with adopting, don't whine or complain!
★ Deori is a closed species, any adopts made by non-staff user that are not transfers, customs, or MYOs will result in a warning.
★ All Deori-related activities, including art, stories, etc must be CS friendly!
★ If you're having a problem, please message Lillianyx or one of the moderators.
★ Discord coincides with CS activity. Any items, Deori, etc won on Discord will carry over.
★ This is because Discord's hunting and gather will follow the same rules as CS'.

    Adoption
★ You must own a hierarch/starting Deori before you can adopt more
☆ You're able to claim this through a free hierarch, adoption, or a paid custom/MYO.
★ There is no limit to the amount of Deori you can own all-together
☆ There are limits depending on what level your herd is at.
★ You may, at most, adopt 4 Deori a month
☆ Any Deori with EYS is exempt from this rule.
★ Once you've adopted a Deori, the artist will add you to the Oekaki drawing.
☆ This allows you to dress up your Deori will minor accessories or accessories you've bought
☆ Any change to the lines or design of your Deori will result in a warning and immediate readoption.
★ If you do not reach level 1 within the first two weeks, your hierarch/starter will be rehomed.
★ If you are banned from either CS or Deori, your Deori will be rehomed.
☆ You will lose ownership to the character/design.

    Breeding
★ Deori only have one mate in their lifetime.
☆ There may be a way to break up pairs later on.
★ Deori are able to breed 5 times in their lifetime.
☆ There may be be a fertility/breeding rate increase in the future.
☆ There is a chance for twins in every breeding.
☆ You can buy items to improve those chances.
★ Only nursery artists are allowed to do breedings.

    Trades and Transfers
★ You must own your Deori at least a week before trading or transfering.
★ There is an one month cooldown period between trading and transfers.
★ If a transfer is made, both parties have to post on the Deori's thread.
★ Deori can be traded for other Deori or other closed species.
☆ This is only if both species owners agree.
★ Items can only be traded for other items within Deori
☆ Custom and MYO tickets included

    Customs and MYOs
★ Custom and MYO tickets can be purchased from the store when they're available
★ Custom and MYO tickets are rarely found while hunting
★ Custom and MYO tickets are sometimes given away during events or when certain milestones are reached
★ Customs are only to be complete by artists.
★ Customs can be redeemed for free if an user has a total of 10 HMs.
★ MYOs must be completed on the oekaki unless permission is given
☆ Even then, all MYOs must have some sort of oekaki drawing as a cover.
★ Customs and MYOs are not allowed to resemble real characters
☆ This includes any fictional TV show, anime, game, book, etc characters
☆ This includes your own designs/characters
☆ Because Deori can be confiscated, it would be troublesome to confiscate someone's OC.

    Staff
★ All staff is to behave respectfully to other members.
★ Every staff member receives a MYO ticket when they are hired.

      Moderators
★ Keep calm when dealing with situations.
★ Listen to both sides of a story, don't become biased.
★ If there comes a time you need a break for any reason, please say so instead of disappearing
☆ Another moderator will take over your duties while you are gone.

      Artists
★ You should make at least 3 adopts a month.
★ You are allowed to claim a hierarch/starting form.
☆ Hierarches must be done within 48 hours of claiming a form.
★ All adopts must be on the Oekaki unless given permission otherwise.
★ You can announce when you are open for customs on both the custom thread and main thread.
☆ You are allowed to charge users for customs with prices staff have agreed on.
★ Artists with access to the nusery are allowed to make random EYS Deori.
☆ Please make sure that EYS only appears around every 10 Deori, as it's not common.
★ Nursery artists must roll for mutation passdowns.
★ Guest artists are allowed to create 3 Deori before they are fully hired or end their time with staff.
★ Guest artists are not allowed to make growths, do breeding, or create customs.
☆ If given permission, guest artists are allowed to make one hierarch during their trail.

      Planners
★ Event planners are to discuss with each other and other staff their ideas for events.
★ Planners are given their own channel to discuss with each other.
★ If it is a huge event, planners are allowed to suggest rare+ Deori designs with artists for prizes.

      Archivist and Banker
★ Keep the threads updated and active
★ At the end of each month, please go over your threads and make sure everything is correct
★ If you need help, please ask. A staff member or myself will assist.

Casual Play

Postby Lillianyx » Wed Feb 13, 2019 2:01 pm

Casual Play

If you don't feel like making a thread and maintaining it for your Deori, you have an option to play casually!
Playing casually means that you do not have to create and keep a herd and make stories for them, and you'll
still be able to adopt free Deori! There's no limit on the amount of Deori you can adopt, and if in the future
you would like to switch to an ARPG adopter, you're free to do so. The drawback of becoming a free player
is that you won't be able to participate in explorations, and there may be certain minigames or features
during events that will be unavailable.

More will be updated as needed!

Guide & Requirements

Image
    Getting your hierarch
★ You can adopt your hierarch from a normal adoption, create one from a MYO ticket, or you're able to order one for free.
★ To grab your hierarch, please fill out the form below.
☆ Please remember that markings must be that of a domestic animal (cat, dog, horses, etc) or fox.

                Code: Select all
                #hierarch
                Username:
                Base color:
                Eye color:
Marking color + Reference: (black/white and unnatural colors not allowed)
Hair Style + Color: (can be referenced)
                Gem color: (black/white not allowed)

                Trinkets will be rolled.
Please bold the items you'd be okay with your hierarch having
                Saddle
                Horse Bridle
                Translucent Cape
                Translucent Veil
                Ribbons with gems
                Gauntlets
                Eye mask
                - made with gems
                - with feathers

                Mandatory trinkets

                Crown
Because this is mandatory for hierarchs, you may link a reference for the crown you'd like.

Creating a thread and getting ready to adopt
★ You can post your herd/Deori page on the Oekaki, here, or anywhere else (deviantart, toyhouse, etc).
★ Keep in mind that these guys live in tropical environments and near a dragons' den, and build around that.
☆ You can even use a website if it's easier for you.
☆ Please make sure that your page does not have any personal information that could break CS' rules.
★ You can set up your thread/website however you'd like
★ COPPA members do not have to create a page, but are restricted to the level 1 limit.

    Time to level up!
★ You will start off at the beginners stage.
★ You level up by building up your herd, giving them a place to live, and creating backstories for them.
★ As you complete tasks, you can post on the level up thread to advance!
★ No worries if you complete tasks for future levels, it just means you won't have to do it later!
★ If something goes wrong or needs fixed, you'll be contacted about it.

    After level 10...
★ You have the option of making multiple herds every 10 levels if you choose.
☆ This would provide you with more opportunities to get items, as well as coming across random encounters.
★ You can use the same layout as your first herd, but the story and area must not be the same.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

Image
Take note that these are vague ideas on how your herd functions. How it actually works depends on you.

Hierarchs
Hierarchs are leaders of the herd,
most oftenly there is a pair of
mates who rule over. Siblings have
been known to branch off to run a
herd together with their mates, often
times, these herds will fail.
Hierarchs are in charge of decisions,
including welcoming Deori into their
herd, chasing them off, sending patrols
and gatherers out, and making sure
everyone is safe.

Patrollers
Patrollers are the guards of the herd,
they often leave the safety of their
friends in order to make sure that
all is well in their territory. They
check to see if trespassers have
passed through, or territorial animals
and other herds have tried to take
over, or if the dragon has caused any
damage to the place that they live.

Healers
Healers usually have their own
secluded area where they can
tend to sick and weak Deori.
Healers are chosen as newborns,
and after a couple of months of
life, will leave the nursery to
stay and work with the current
healer. Some healers work in
pairs, but are not allowed to
work as a mated pair.

Gatherers
Gatherers are just as their name
describes; they go out during the
day in order to gather insects,
fruits, vegetables, roots, and
berries. They are the only real
source of food for the herd.

Followers
Other Deori that do not have any
specific roles in the herd. These are
usually new Deori that have not
been given anything to do.

Nobles
Nobles are known to stay away from
getting their hooves and talons dirty.
Some nobles stay around the
hierarch and assist them with
sending out patrols, gathering parties,
and even set up time schedules for
caretakers to take young calves to
get their gems and items.

Caretakers
Caretakers tend to young calves
in the nursery area while their
parents are out. They have an
important role to play while
being one of the lowest tiers,
they must go with calves when
they're ready to grow to collect
gems from the dragon den
nearby.
