welcome to the world of komohærts! these small, magical dragon-descendants come in a variety of colours and sizes ( most commonly between cat & bull size though ), and are a wonderful companion if treated right! their most prominent features are their tails, which have a heart-shaped end, their big ears, that they take a while to grow into, and their incredible blend into nature! komos in the wild are always sighted near some kind of plant-like habitat, no matter what continent or world they may stem from! they can live without flora of course, but around plants is where they feel most at home. or rather, where they originated from - komohærts grow up partially as plant. komo eggs are easy to miss, as their eggs are adapted to where they are laid in terms of colour, size and growth! even when they hatch, komos keep part of their plant heritage throughout their childhood - coming to the world with a small leaf growing on their head and a small flower bulb as their tail to Camouflage them from predators, however any kind of plant growth can occur in this stage of their life! in their teen years, their bulb flowers and falls off, bringing their heart-ended tail to light! around that time, any other plant growths as well as the small leaf - now quite a big one - wilts and fall off, too. sometimes, however, the growths dont wilt in their teen years, but rather flourish and blossom - growing more lively every day! this isnt a sight you see every day, and the komos tend to regard their continued growth of flora as a good sign, sometimes even as a blessing from the god aerthin.
between the stages of late child to young adult, komos also learn how to manouver certain species-wide talents, such as eccelent climbing and fire breathing skills! their raccoon-like hands and sharp claws in their paws give them an incredible advantage, especially when climbing the stone-hard wood of their original nesting ground's trees. their strong fingers are also helpful when cracking open nuts or fruits or when building a home for themselves, as well as doing things like weaving, cooking, ect for the more advanced dragons. over the course of the species evolution, their diet has constantly changed, but has now become a relatively constant omnivorous diet, however depending on the current habitat or the komo's personal preferences, different eating habits are commonly to be found.
while it is seen to the grand public as a certain thing - not all komohærts posses the skill to breathe fire!
