Pronounced Pra-cksi-mA Cen-taur-ees, these alien like creatures were, hence, descovered
by a group of outer space scientists, who wanted simply to orbit the Earth a few times.
Unfortunately, their space probe crash-landed on a meteor, where the species was discovered.
A Proxima's DNA was taken back to earth, where they were grown in Government run,
off-the-grid labs. Once fully grown, the creatures were tested, and research has shown that they are quite friendly towards humans, and truly mean no harm.
They were later dubbed Proxima Centauries after a large star found in the Centaurus constellation for their beauty and grace.

Common: Back galaxy mane, Mane edits that stay above jawline, custom galaxy mane shape
Uncommon: Mane edits that go beyond jawline/to shoulder, shorter tail. custom pupil, custom tail, colored Sclera
Rare: Fur, stubby tail, horns on head, extra / missing eyes, two tails, halos, extra or missing legs, baldness (no galaxy mane)
Legendary: Wingless, magical abilities, more than one head, more than two tails, horns on the body, scales, fish features, Kitism (PPS)

ＧＵＩＤＥＬＩＮＥＳ

✘ Proximas are a closed species. It is not allowed for a non staff member to make one.
✘ Selling/purchasing your Proxima for art or other currency, besides another Proxima, is not allowed.
✘ A proxima may not be your fursona unless you are the owner of the species or have proof of permission from me.
✘ You may not edit your Proxima's lines. (Including manes, tails, wings, eyes, etc.)





✓ You may own up to 25 Proximas
✓Trading for Proxima with Proxima or gifting is allowed, but PM me first for permission! You must notifiy our archivist of the trade or gift so the archives can be updated!!
✓ You may add accesories and chage the expression of your Proxima. If the Proxima can wear it, it's automatically approved! Message me about scars!
✓ Proximas can be roleplayed!
✓ All posted contest art must be given to the winner unless otherwise specified.
✓ Pm our archivist when ownership of a Proxima changes, it helps a lot!

> Proximas may breed with one or two other Proximas, regardless of gender, as long as the owners are okay with the breeding.
> Proximas can breed a max of three times during their life time.

> You may not breed by PMing an artist. All slots an arist offers are to be kept public!
> The breeding cooldown time is 1 week
> You mast wait one week before breeding a new Proxima

The maximum amount of customs you may ever own is 5.

Staff get three custom slots, earned over time.


Upon hire -- +1 custom slot with max one rare trait and unlimited lesser traits
After one month -- +1 custom slot with max one rare trait and unlimited lesser traits.
After two months -- +1 custom slot with no limit on rare traits.




ｈｏｎａｒａｂｌｅ ｍｅｎｔｉｏｎｓ



Someimtes, if an artist feels an entry for a Proxy didn't win but deserves to be recognized for their hard work, they will give out an Hm, or honorable mentions. Once enough HM's are earned, your are able to trade them for a custom Proxima.



5 HMs - a custom with common edit
10 HMs - a custom with one uncommon edit
15 HMs - a custom with rare edit and an uncommon edit
20 HMs - a custom with one rare edit and a choice of either one standard or one common edit
25 HMs - a custom with one rare edit and choice of any two rarity edits besides legendary


To receive your custom you me either ask an artist on staff to make it (links to your HMs must be sent to them!). After doing so, you can send a color palette, theme, desired traits, etc. Because it is a custom, you are allowed to ask that the artist changes certain aspects of the design that you arn't happy with. You may not make your own HM custom.

Strikes and Bans is a system I have put in place for rule breakers.

If you break a rule, but it is not a serious offense, you will only receive a warning from staff. Warnings do NOT count as strikes.
Strikes are for serious offenses. It takes 4 strikes to be temp banned. 5 strikes equals a permanent ban.

How strikes work:

Upon receiving your first strike you will :
- not be able to participate in any new competitions for three days

Upon receiving your second stirke you will:
- not be able to participate in any competitions for one week
- not be allowed to post in the fanclub for one week

Upon recieving a third strike you will:
- not be able to participate in any competitions for two weeks
- not be allowed to post on the fanclub for two weeks
- [Possibly] have some of your Proximas revoked.

Upon receiving a fourth strike you will:
- be temporarily banned. {Temp bans last one month.}
- have at least one of your Proximas revoked and put up for readoption.

Upon receiving a fifth strike you will:
- be permanently banned.
- ALL of your Proximas will be taken away and put up for readoption.
