Username: Scoinwolf
Name: Kaija
Gender: Female
Personality: She's a happy-go-lucky gal, always able to rebound from terrible incidents. She's a little shy, but once one can get her to warm up to them, she relaxes and can be pretty funny .. and mischievous. Kaija loves to play pranks and she can get pretty darn competitive when playing games with her friends. She's exceedingly agile and loves to show off her skills. While she does enjoy spending time with her family and companions, she also takes joy in the silence of wandering in the woods. There's a
ring tailed cat, Asger, that she likes to meet up with when going for walks. The two of them are genuinely comfortable around each other and, in his presence, is the one true time Kaija will relax in full.
Short story (bonus points for including the sister in there): She was running, running, her paws pounding on the pavement, head bobbing, her pants echoing harshly in the deafening silence that was the dark alleyway. She could hear her heartbeat, a loud tempo pounding in her ears. Kaija made a soundless whimper and jumped behind a dumpster, cowering there, peeking around the corner to make sure she had lost her followers.
There was no sign of them.
She exhaled in relief and allowed the tension to flow out of her body. This was good.
She was the queen of manhunt.
An hour passed in that cramped position before Kaija dared creep out. The darkness had fallen down on the rest of the city and it was finally time for the game to begin. The white and grey canine skillfully crept along the side of the street, keeping to the shadows, but not afraid to cross through the light. She had smeared mud over her coat to disguise the white and her scent.
The girl made her way up to the top of one of the buildings, running along the top of it, preparing to launch herself across the gap when -
"Kaija! Found you!"
Kaija stumbled and fell, pressing up against the side of the building for a moment as she recognized her sister's voice. "Hokuto!" She complained, peering over the edge to look at her sibling standing there in the street. "You messed up my jump!"
"Well, yeah." Hotaru laughed. "C'mon - give up! I'm gonna get 'cha!"
"Never!!!" Kaija laughed in response and geared up for her jump again. This time she made it, flying through the air, only to land with absolute grace as her paws touched down on the other rooftop.
"Show off!"
"You know it!"
The game continued all through the night until light graced the rooftops. So far Kaija was the only one who had avoided capture yet she still had a decent distance until she could reach the base itself.
The mud had washed off in the light rain that had persisted until dawn, she was soaked, dirty, and still not victorious.
That just wouldn't do.
Kaija took a gamble and made a direct dash for the fire hydrant that the group had deemed base for this round.
"There she is!"
"Get her!"
One of them,
Jundono, came out of a side street and charged. Kaija jumped over him easily and continued her run. When Hokuto came for her sister, though, she succeeded in knocking Kaija down.
"Told you I'd get ya." She teased.
Kaija rolled her eyes. "You did."
