Dralcons are a qilin-like species of canine where no two are exactly
alike. Dralcons have short front legs that are approximately half the
length of their hind legs, giving them a hunched posture when they
walk on all fours. Because of this they much prefer to walk about as
a bipedal species, balancing on their hind legs with or without the
aide of their tail.

~ This is a closed species! Do not make your own unless it is for an MYO event or you have a ticket to do so!
~ There is no adoption limit on Dralcons, go wild, just be fair!
~ No whining or complaining if you don't win a Dralcon. It just makes others feel bad.
~ No guilt-tripping artists or staff into giving you a Dralcon or a custom.
~ No mini-modding. It's impolite, and we have mods for that.
~ You must mark the main thread before adopting so you never miss out on the fun!
~ Rules are subject to change, whether by the addition of new rules or editing of an old one. Read them often to stay up to date.

~ Be kind to all adopters! We want everyone to feel welcome in the world of Dralcons!
~ You must be active to stay on staff. PM me or My Horse Rocks if you will be gone please!
~ Artists should make at least one Dralcon every two weeks, although more is always appreciated!
~ Contests can be anything you like, although too many FCFS-type contests are discouraged.
~ Staff can earn up to one custom for every two months of employment and more as My Horse rocks and myself see fit. Some staff may not earn customs at all if they don't follow the rules!

Strikes
People with a strike will be unable to adopt
or participate in events for one week. If a
user accumulates 3 strikes, they are banned.
Strikes are earned by breaking a lesser rule.

Bans
Users with their first ban will be unable to
adopt or participate in events for one month.
If a user gets banned a second time, they
will be unable to adopt for the rest of time
and their Dralcons will be rehomed.

Basics

Dralcons are a qilin-like species of canine where no two are exactly alike. Dralcons have short front legs that are
approximately half the length of their hind legs, giving them a hunched posture when they walk on all fours.
Because of this they much prefer to walk about as a bipedal species, balancing on their hind legs with or without
the aide of their tail.

Due to their chimeric nature, Dralcons will always have hind hooves and a canine-esque muzzle shape with many
different mutations. Commonly, these mutations are such things as front paws instead of all four limbs ending in
hooves, different tail types, wings, and horns. Oddly enough other mutations have also been recorded, including
multiple eyes, different ears, and even manes of longer fur!

Habitat

Dralcons have an innate ability to adapt to any habitat they reside in. Originally found in mountains and their
valleys, they have a very rugged form that is often accompanied by large hooves and paws. Where they live is
known to effect their mutations as well. In cooler climates Dralcons born there often have fur that is longer
than their ancestors, while Dralcons born in warmer climates might be born with a tail more suited for
swimming to keep themselves cool. Even so, the temperament of your Dralcon will remain the same no matter
the climate.

Temperament

Dralcons are typically a very protective, kind-hearted species. It is deep-seeded in their ancestry to be protective
of their caregivers, be that another dralcon, a different animal, or even a human. This nature has made them
ideal companions that are easily trained. However, not every dralcon is the same, and despite their ancestral
nature, there are some that have been known to be aggressive to or afraid of humans. They can be taught to
behave differently, but training can take time despite their intelligence - they have a tendency to also think
themselves superior to humans in intellect.

Ears
Because ears are very important to the
survival of every species, no Dralcon has
been found without ears. However, there
are many different types of ears for all
different manner of habitats and lifestyles.

Rabbit Ears
Rabbit ears are stiff, long ears that are at
least twice the length of the other known
ear types. They can swivel and Dralcons
that possess them can often hear better
then others. Of course, if they have fluffy
fur in their ears - a common variant of
rabbit ears - their hearing will be no better
than average.

Imp Ears
Imp ears are a type of triangular ear that
curves slightly at the tip, eluding to a
devilish or impish nature of being. There
is no soft fur on imp ears, the organs instead
being covered only in tough, leathery skin.

Fox Ears
Fox ears are another type of triangular
ear found in Dralcons. While imp ears
typically have pointed tips, fox ears are
more rounded with soft, thin fur on the
inside of the ear that enhances hearing
by filtering out background noise, meaning
only the loudest and clearest sounds are
heard.

Cat Ears
Cat ears are very similar to fox ears with
one distinct difference. While fox ears
have fluff on their inner ears, cat ears do
not. Instead all the fluff of a cat ear is
outside the ear.

Bear Ears
Bear ears are the only wholly round ears
currently found in Dralcons. They are
small, mobile, and very expressive. In
many cases, Dralcons cannot control the
movements of their ears as easily if they
are of this type.

Tails
While Dralcons are a bipedal capable
species, their tails are not actually used to
help them balance. Instead they are most
often used to express emotions, similarly
to ears. Tails can even be found in pairs.

Qilin Tail
Qilin tails, or unicorn tails, are long, stiff
tails with thick fluff starting approximately
halfway down their length and flowing to
the tip. These tails are the most flexible
with side-to-side motions.

Wolf Tail
Wolf tails are thick, fluffy masses of soft
fur half of a Dralcon's body length. They
are very flexible and expressive, and can
even curl on occasion in times of extreme
happiness.

Cat Tail
Cat tails are rather thin but just as flexible
and expressive as wolf tails. They are soft
and easily the same length as a Dralcon's
body. On occasion, these tails will also be
tipped with a small curl of fluff similar to
a lion's tail.

Deer Tail
Deer tails are the second shortest type of
tail Dralcons have been found with, as the
shorter tails are far less expressive than
others. They are smooth on the top with
thick fur on the underside, and are
roughly half the length of a wolf's tail.

Dog Tail
Dog tails vary in length and fluffiness, but
will not be any shorter than a deer tail
or longer than a wolf's tail. Basically any
dog tail falls under this category.

Docked Tail
Docked tails are the shortest tails possible
for a Dralcon. Unless by defect, Dralcons
are actually not born with a docked tail
but lose them in a fight or an accident.

Wings
Wings are the most common mutation found
in Dralcons, which only proves to us that
there is dragon blood within their genetics.
However, Dralcons have yet to be seen in
flight.

Dragon Wings
Also referred to as 'Demon Wings', these
wings have a structure built of two 'arm'
bones, an 'elbow', and five 'finger' bones that
support the skin covering them. These wings
do not have scales or fur or even feathers to
cover them, only skin.

Bat Wings
Similar to dragon wings, these wings follow
the same structure but have claws at the end
of the first 'finger' bone. Bat wings have also
been found to occasionally have fur covering
the skin along the 'arm' bones.

Feathered Wings
Also referred to as 'Angel Wings', these wings
follow the same bone structure as the dragon
wings but resemble the wings of a bird.

Tongues
Dralon tongues are typically shaped like
a canine's tongue, but they come in many
variants, such as reptile, amphibian or
cat tongues.

Dralcons have mouths built very similarly
to canines, but their teeth tend to change
depending on their environment and diet.
