Not all the time. He will sometimes steal for his significant other, or if he knows he can pull it off, but Marvin knows better then to steal and live off of other people. He loves to make jewelry, but cant always afford the items or needs food for his pets, but other than that no, Marvin is completely clean.

--Poe comes off as extremely eccentric, albeit very kind.
--He will talk anybody or anythings ears off, and covers
--a range of topics from how to cut certain gemstones
--to why you should or should not plant hydrangeas in
--you backyard. He has never met someone he doesn't
--like and no matter what your feelings are chances are
--he considers you a friend. However, wrong him and you'll
--get to experience a grand array of revenge tactics that
--range from mere annoyances to stuff that's probably a
--federal crime. Poe has an especially soft spot for very
--grumpy people and fluffy cats.

He is a jewel thief, to say the least. Come visit him,
show him a picture of whatever beautiful, shiny object
you want him to snatch and if he thinks it's pretty
enough, Poe's your man. However, whether or not you'll
actually get the object of your desire when he's done is
another thing. Poe is internationally renowned for his
thievery skills, both how he slips out of the hands of the
authorities and criminals alike. His fame is ironic in a way,
he doesn't think of himself as a criminal mastermind, he
just likes sparkly things and he's just a likely to snatch that
metallic gum wrapper out of your pocket as he is to slide
a diamond necklace off your neck. Although he finds that
keeping what you steal doesn't exactly earn you a living,
making amazing paste reproductions and selling them to
your original clients is.

Poe became a theif entirely by accident. He had decided to take the day at the museum down the street, unaware they were setting up for a jewelry auction later that night. There was a sheet in which to place bids placed beside each, with the starting price for 50€ listed at the top. Between these sheets and the boxes for donations, Poe got the wrong idea and thought this was a sale, a perfectly innocent mistake. And that is how he ended up making off with a necklace worth thousands through a strange fluke, a heist that would land him on the top of the list of high profile jewel thieves. Business started flowing, and as Poe will say, maybe accidents happen for a reason.
