IN THE wastes of the modern world, life is beginning to take uprising once again. nuclear
war ravaged the world of its supplies and of its people, destroying most of it, except for the
hardiest of individuals. most were once animals, humans quite ironically finding themselves
wiped out unreasonably quickly by the growing surrounds of radiation that seeped over the
dead planet. for a while, time itself appeared to stop as nuclear molecules spread, through
land and eventually out across oceans. only when the radiation settled did odd life begin to
grow immune in their peculiar ways, mutating and evolving rapidly into a sturdier creature.
genomes crossed paths again and again until they wound back upon each other, until a new
life was created that would learn to take refuge in buildings left behind, and dive to the top
of the food chain until only they remained. survival of the fittest was no longer a theory.

VEXES are a peculiar creature, slender and most rodent-like, yet all the same so canid, and
even more. their bones are hardy, but light in weight to allow them movement throughout the
world. new alterations came to their bodies as they evolved, and part of the maxilla of their
skull caved to give way for a new function. on both sides of their faces, connecting directly to
their nasal passages, are three sets of vents: this rids them of toxic molecules as they breath,
separating radioactive waste from the oxygen that they need. follicles within the vents help to
channel radioactive particles away from the nose as they are expelled, blown downwards and
away from the nose and face with each exhale that the vex takes. their talons are clawed, a
stronger kind of bone allowing for deadly grip upon what they cling to. quite similarly, the vex's
teeth are both large and serrated on one side, allowing for tearing and for good grip on prey.
though a more useless trait of their system, it is one designed for their more predatory pieces.
their inner systems are just as complex, delicate and easy to harm yet so hard to get to. their
immune systems are hardier than the usual, a hybrid of the animals that create their genetic
makeup. yet, their organs are fragile and easy to tear; it serves them well to have tough skin.

COLOURS and markings are in no particular specification for vexes, and all colours are easily
possible. some will come in darker colours, made more for aiding with blending well into their
environments, yet many others might be colourful. if not through genetics, through mutations.
PHYSICAL mutations come similarly. there is a vast range that are very possible for a vex, and
these differ madly from each other. it could be within the form of extra limbs such as tails or
arms, or even a whole other head. other times may be more subtle, referring to blindness and
deafness, or potentially albinism & melanism, to give a couple of examples of much less severe
congenital disorders that may occur. usually these are down to the mere genetics of the vexes,
dna being so strewn about everywhere that it makes breeding even lethal for some individuals.

someone. personal matters have nothing to do with the species or community and are undesired.
ii. THERE IS NO LIMIT TO OWNERSHIP but be generous, please. do not spam every adopt
or try to adopt every single one. remain courteous & mindful to other people. don't be selfish.
iii. DO NOT ASK FOR CUSTOMS OR TO BE STAFF because these are both reserved toward
competitions or special events. if you ask for either, you will be blatantly turned away with a no.
iv. YOU MAY TRADE OR GIFT YOUR VEX but do not sell them. they were not won with any
money so it will do you no good to sell them for money. do not win one to try and make profit.
v. ALL CHICKENSMOOTHIE RULES APPLY. now, this is just common sense, but has to be
said. do not steal, reproduce, or plagiarise vexes in any way. if you have questions about this,
feel free to pm me. i promise we're not the kind of guys that copyright silly things like ears, and
this warning is much more lenient than what it sounds like. stay safe and smart out there, kids.

vex threads. this is more or less a point against you. think of it as a driver's license kind of thing.

be revoked, should you have any, and you will be disallowed from posting on any vex threads.

you can't be removed from the banlist if you are placed onto it, so have fun if you get on here.
