What Is A Nyrn?
Nyrn are small/medium sized energy absorbing creatures standing at around 30-50cm tall. Originally found in the mountains, they have thick bushy fur across their body, face and paws, they are built for cold climates. Even though Nyrn have retractable claws and sharp teeth, they are herbivorous (vegetarians), they use their sharp claws and long tail to climb trees to pick berries and fruits from trees. Nyrn are extremely adaptable and so do make good companion animals.
Nyrn are born with the gift/ability to absorb energies. Each Nyrn has a different type(s) of energy in which they can absorb. After absorbing these energies, they can use them as powers. Nyrn can display this power in an orb form/psi ball.

• Please be patient and polite to everyone. No begging.
• You may own a max of 10 Nyrn. 15 if you are an artist.

Nyrn In Detail
Appearance
Nyrn stand at around 30-50cm tall which is about the same size as a Cocker Spaniel Dog. They have long and some-what stocky bodies, covered almost entirely in thick fur. They have a round appearance to their head shape with a cat link face and nose, but a canine appearance to their large pointy ears. Their neck and body, without fur would appear much like an lion, with a slender neck and a chubby belly. The shoulder pokes up in a point before the back begins as a long almost flat slope to the rear. The Nyrn's legs are often long and slender with joints that can rotate 180 degrees to aid climbing. They have large paws with thick pads and retractable claws. Their tail is long and slender to aid with balance, it has a pretty pume on the end.
When it comes to fur, the Nyran has a lot of it. From a small piece of fur under their chin to a scruffy neck mane and hairy cheeks, they are almost completely coated in hair that naturally falls towards the ground. They also have hair on the insides of their ears, their armpits, falling from their belly and the tops of their back legs and their fluffy winter paws.
About Energies
Unlike most creatures that have the ability to create their own powers, Nyrn instead have to make theirs. They do this by absorbing energies from their surroundings and transferring the energy into powers. Every Nyrn is able to absorb different types of energies and so each Nyrn has a different type of power. On very rare occasions, A Nyrn can be born with two types of energies they can absorb.
(There is a list of energies on the right side of this post. You are free to create your own energies and powers. :) )
Origin
Nyrn originate high up in the mountains. Their thick fur protects them from the colder climates and the tough weather, but their retractable claws, double jointedness and long tail makes them excellent climbers. Nyrn are extremely adaptable and so they can also be found in other locations and even kept as pets.
Diet
They are herbivorous meaning they are vegetarians. Most live on a diet of fruits and berries.
Behavior
Most often Nyrn are solitary animals however when they come across Nyrn's or other animals they are more than willing to enjoy the company of them for a while. As pets they can be extremely affectionate. Most Nyrn are not the roaming type, they often happily occupy a small territory and will only leave it if they are made to or if they go looking for a mate. They spend a lot of time sleeping and laying around, the youngsters are often more active.
Breeding
It takes 1 male and 1 female to breed. The couple will often occupy a territory together or will be neighbors if they are not committed to a long term relationship. Pregnancy lasts 5 weeks. Baby Nyrn are known as Ny. A Nyrn female will give birth to 1 or 2 Ny in a den and will often raise them herself but the farther may help if he is committed to his mate, if not he would had been gone by the time they were born. The Ny are born blind and death, they requires their mothers milk and warmth to survive and grow. Ny can hear and open their eyes when they are 1 week old. They start learning to walk at 2 weeks and are fully weaned onto solid food when they are 4 weeks old. It takes 12 months (1 year) before a Nyrn is considered an adult and is ready to leave home. Young Nyrn will travel long distances in search of their own territory to reduce the risk of inbreeding in the future.
