Delta Velorum Foxes are tall looking foxes that are only located on the remote planet of Delta Velorum.

Standing between 2 - 2 1/2 feet at the should, Delta Velorum Foxes are very tall in appearance compared to Red Foxes on Earth. They tend to be long legged in appearance and are well known for their endurance and agility. Males tend to be more muscular then females while female are more slender and elegant in appearance. A Delta Foxes fur tends to be very soft and short, and come in a wide variety of natural colors. It is not uncommon to see them in roans and dun colors similar to horses and are commonly seen in cat colors and patterns as well (such as calico, tabby, bengal markings ect). However the combination of colors and patterns are limitless, and each Delta Velorum Fox is different from the next. No two are ever the same in looks. Delta Velorum Foxes can come in any eye color and combination - no matter if it's natural or unnatural. A fox with two or more eye colors (known as Heterochromia) is uncommon but not unheard of.

Welcome to the DVF Nursery!

Here Delta Velorum Fox owners can come in and breed their foxes to have kits of their own! All you need to do is make sure that your DVF couple is listed in the archive, has been mates for at least one week or more, and fill out the form given.

Each litter can have between one and four adorable kits, all selected by a random number generator.

Rules:

• All CS rules and DVF Rules apply.

• Please do not rush the artist in any way. Your litter will come, but please be aware that the artist have lives outside of cs.

• There is currently no limit on how many times a couple can breed. After each litter is born the parents must wait at least 1 month before breeding again.

• Once a couple becomes mates, they're mates for life - divorce is rare but allowed if both partners agree to it and permission is given by both SnowStar and aviate.
---○ Divorced couples are limited to breed only twice after they're mated again.

• Litter sizes are between 1-4 kits each, all chosen by a random number generator. Items are allowed to be used to increase or decrease litter sizes.

• Inbreeding (breeding between individuals that are related to each other), is NOT allowed.

• There will never be any identical twins, nor will kits ever look exactly like it's parents. We try to make sure that each kit has a little bit of both parents in it's designs, but no not expect a exact copy or all markings to pass onto the litter.

• Users can own up to 6 Adult DVFs, 6 Nursery DVFs, and 0 customs (unless awarded from event).
---○ Staff can own up to 8 Adult DVFs, 8 Nursery DVFs, and 2 Customs.

• Teens, as well as Teens with PKS - are allowed to breed. Teen are not allowed to breed with adults.

• You may only breed Delta Velorum Foxes that you own. You may breed with another user's DVF as long as you have their written permission. Proof of permission (screenshot and/or quote) will be required with your nursery ticket.

• Only males and females can have kits. Same sex couples are allowed to be mates and adopt kits at any given time, but can only have kits through special token that are awarded in events and/or bought from the bank.

• Couples must be listed in the mates/couples archive [located in the link that says "Archive"] before they can have a litter. The couple must also wait at least 4 days after becoming mates before they can breed.

What are the requirements for my DVFs to breed?

* You must read and follow all the rules given.
* You couple must be in the archive (just PM SnowStar for them to be added).
* You couple must be mates for 4 or more days.

Even if you have already sent in the request for your couple to be in the archive, you MUST wait until they are added before posting your breeding ticket. Impatients will result in denied breeding tickets.

How long will the litter take to complete?

It all honestly depends on the artists health and what is going on in RL. It will take longer if there are computer/ java/ oekaki problems going on as well. But we will try to get everything finished withing 1-2 months at the most. If it takes longer, send a polite reminder in a PM.

What can I do with the kits once the litter is born?

Once your litter is born you are given three options. You may keep them, put them up for adoption for other people to try for, or gift them to someone. When you are gifting a kit to someone it is required that you PM SnowStar first for approval and wait on her response BEFORE posting the announcement on the litter's page.
