What are Lumineux Fouri?
Lumineux Fouri, or Lumies, are fluffy mammals with long bodies and bioluminescent spots. Their name actually means "glowing fur" because of these glowing patches. Their fur is insanely soft, and there isn't an aggressive bone in their body (Usually). They were bred to be the perfect house pets, especially for those who have a fear of animals.
Lumies eat mainly fruit, nuts, and sometimes small bugs. They can grow to be about the size of a large house cat to a medium sized dog depending on the Lumineux, and loved to be stroked, cuddled, and just in the same vicinity as you. They have no natural weapons --even their teeth are dull. these animal are not predators in anyway, and are not found in the wild naturally for this reason.
Lumies have an impressive vertical leap, this is used to escape hostile creatures, or just to jump onto your bed to snuggle. They get along well with other animals, like cats or dogs. Lumies are also intelligent enough where they seem to understand more complex commands than any other house pet. This makes them good companions for people with disabilities, being able to retrieve and guide exceptionally well with minimal training.
These creatures communicate with each other by making soft, purring noises much like cats. When frightened, they make a noise that sounds like a mouse.
The Different Types of Lumies
In all, there are four types of these wonderful creatures-- Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Very Rare.Common- Just the generic Lumineux. The regular bio spots, mane, and body type. They may have any color what so ever, and any pattern, but they are the most common types you will see
Uncommon- The next level up from Common. These Lumineux might have multicolored bio spots, mane edits (hair, Etc.), or something a little bit different from the norm.
Rare- These Lumineux have special looks, such as different tails, a lot of extra fluff, or completely different types of Bio spots that are different from the generic. They may have severe birth defects, like missing limbs or deafness, or even PPS.
Very Rare- These are the most special of all Lumineux Fouri. They either have specially drawn lines, or have severe edits. They may have magical abilities, superpowers, or other things not seen in their species normally.
Do Lumies have defects?
Yes, they do. There are things that Lumies are born with that are very outside the normal.PPS- they are stuck in the kit stage, never to grow up physically.
Aggressive Disorder- Lumineux Fouri are not naturally aggressive, this makes them in no way qualified to protect a house like a dog. They prefer to run when faced with danger rather than fight. But occasionally, some do show signs of being mean or protective, but this isn't what this defect is. Lumineux who show extreme savagery, such as fighting, snapping or biting, are the one's who possess this disorder. These are dangerous and cannot be predicted, as their mood changes on a dime. Only the most experienced owners can handle them. Don't worry though, this is a rare occurrence.
The normal defects- Blindness, hearing loss, or other oddities. Short limbs is seen rarely, or a missing tail. Sometimes the Lumineux even lacks the excessive fluff their species is known for.
Missing Spot Syndrome (MSS)- This syndrome is very rare. It is when a Lumineux is missing the Bioluminescent spots that usually cover it's back, legs, neck, and head. MSS can be passed on to children, but it's not likely to happen.
Magical Abilities- Believed to be a nonexistent occurrence, it has been said that select few Lumies have been born with magical powers varying from telekinesis, to full blown Elemental powers. Many say that it comes with other defects, like aggressiveness. But, those are just stories, Right?

~ No more than 3 Lumineux Fouri can be owned by a single person. (Unless it is stated that it doesn't affect your slots.)
~ They cannot be Fursonas, sorry
~ Treat others with respect
~ Don't complain if you don't get the one you were hopping for. There will be others, possibly better
~ You cannot edit the Lumie's design or lines in anyway if you win it (Not counting adding accessories.)
~ Don't claim this species as your own, please.
~ Two Lumineux can have the same name, just try to remember which is which(Siblings cannot have the same name, however.)
~ Try not to spam the thread with arguments, long, unrelated conversations, Etc.
~ Don't steal someone's Lumineux, please. Everyone has a chance to get one.
~ If you no longer wish to own your pet, please contact me and I will help you decide what to do with them. (Re-adoption, Gifting to someone.)
~ You can gift the Lumie you've won to someone else, just notify either the artist or me.
