Harlequines
Harlequines...A demonic equine from unexplored forests, caves, and ancient ruins. Not much is known about the Harlequine, but one thing is for certain. If you ever meet one...Never, ever look into its eyes. It feasts on the souls of other creatures in the early morning and at dusk. Once they chase their prey for a while and it finally collapses from exhaustion, the Harlequine will steal their soul right out of them through its smoky eye sockets. There is a hypothesis on why it refuses to kill its prey and only hunts by chasing to exhaustion; If it kills the prey or hurts its body, the soul would have either escaped or would be too damaged to be of any gain to the Harlequine, therefore it chases until the prey has surrendered itself, making the soul pure and giving the Harlequine more strength to continue its haunting hunt.
